X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse

Finally, the sequel is about to come out on Sept. 20 :D. I loved the first game, and some levels were a challenge like the Morlocks and the Sentenials(sp? I always misspell them lol). I enjoyed the flashback sequences in the first one as well. It was a blast.

One of the last scenes we saw was Apocalypse laughing :), and now in this the sequel he rises. Which means the Four Horseman is going to make their apperances as well as the Brotherhood who will have to work together as a team with the X-Men. Yup, we can play the villians.....muwahaha.

Playable characters. We are going to have 16 playeres in all(half allies the other half is villians). These are the ones that are definite:
Magneto
Wolverine
Storm
Cyclops
Bishop
Juggernaut
Nightcrawler
Colossus
Jubilee(?)

Enemies expected to face:
You'll face Lady Deathstrike, the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse (including Angel transformed into razor-winged Death), Sentinels, Marrow, Holocaust and others.

Another great feature is that we can play the game online :D.

Marvel.com says his powers are Energy absorption/emission and variety of energy-projecting flames. He did come from the future using Trevor Fitzroy's time portals. But he can't travel through time willingly. It's through a machine.

Loved the first X-Men Legends so I'm really excited about the sequel! :)

Since Bishop is included in this we may get a future flashback where nearly all the X-Men are dead :eek:. Which is roughly 60 years into the future(that's Bishop's time).

Having Bishop we can start out in the future, and see what became of Earth after Apocalypse took over. Bishop could tell the X-Men what they need to do, so it wont happen again...perhaps. Having Bishop on the roster there are numerous senerios they can do :D.

I tried to find the X-Men Legends thread I made two years ago, and I its no longer here :(. I searched, and no luck lol.

I loved the cut scenes from the first Legends. It'll be cool to have a cutscene or maybe even have a futuristic battle involving Bishop and his team. The same way the first Legends had flashbacks to one of the X-Men's first battles with the Sentinels.

Yea, that would awesome. I loved playing the 1970s flashback in New York against the Sentinels. All the those clothes of the X-Men came from the X-Men: Animated Series.

I hope we can still use Jean Grey. I loved to use her PHOENIX power again :D.

Yeah it was so cool playing the 1970s flashback sequence. I love the classic costumes.

The Phoenix power was awesome. I also loved playing with Jubilee. Her Independence Day attack was so much fun to use.

Oh, what was Logan's....um, something RAMPAGE. Man, that boy just tore everything up. I loved to have at least one muscle in my group. It usually had Wolverine or Colossus as my muscle.

Same here. I usually always had Wolverine for muscle power. I did use Ice Man a lot. His attack where he has ice daggers all over his body was very effective.

The ice dragger were very effective. They were just as good as Gambit's card deck lol. Sometimes we would have to use a certain mutant for a level. I would try to have a mutant that can hurt in long distance like Iceman, Cyclops, or Gambit. I used Cyclops a lot.

Now I want to play the first one again lol. I loved the dream world's realm. It wasnt as hard as the first Buffy's video game dream realm, but I loved to use the massive power Xavier had.

I used Cyclops a lot for long distance range battles. Such as battling the Sentinels. I hated those Sentinels Spiders! They were so annoying and were difficult to destroy!

The dream realm was neat. I liked being able to play Professor X. He was powerful.

Yeah it took me some time to beat Buffy's dream realm. Jumping over those moving blocks and trying to get the right landing? It's stressful! :lol:

Oh, I hated those spiders. They were just as annoying as the sneaking Morlocks lol.

I know that moving platforms killed me. I was passed frustrated. If we only had checkpoints in the first game like we did in the second Buffy, then it would be alright lol. To jump over those things, and then fight yourself with no checkpoints :eek:.

I was happy to use Xavier after that dream realm lol.

I enjoyed playing this game at Comic Con this year. THQ (or the company that makes this game) had a huge booth for this and the upcoming Amazing Spiderman game. They actually only had a few people try out this game during Comic Con but I had to try it out so I waited in line for the 5 minute demo.

However they did have playable demos of the spidey game and the Fantastic Four game.

IMO, the game looks to have a more engaging storyline than the first one and seeing as how it's gonna be focusing on the rise of Apocalypse, this game will for sure be a lot of fun.

I'm actually guessing that the characters you start out with are Magneto, Wolverine, Jubilee, and Storm cause that's who I had for the demo, however this may change.

So did the graphics look similar to X-Men Legends 1? Or were they little bit sharper?

IGN had a preview of X-Men Legends 2 a month back explaining all the new features. You can read the article here (http://xbox.ign.com/articles/633/633592p1.html), but I copied and pasted the hightlights for you guys already. :)

Oh I loved the first one! I haven't played the second one yet, but I played the first one with my brother and it was a lot of fun. I think it's the best multiplayer game for when you're on the same team.

Although, I found the main character, Magma, kind of annoying, I really really hope she's not focused on in the second.

I agree. Magma annoyance was the only thing I didn't like in the first one. In the second one she is not even in it. Well not in the first three acts anyway since those are the sections I finished. The only trace of her was actually in a trivia question for experience points lol.

X-Men Legends II finally went down to $20. I finished the game a few days ago. I absolutely love the Legends series. The voice acting really stands out. The only thing I need to accomplish is finding all of Iron Man's armor to have him as a playable character. I've read guides to help find them but it's a little confusing, lol. I'm looking forward to Marvel Alliance.

Me and JollyCynic are almost at the end of Legends 1. I'm looking forward to getting to the end and starting Legends 2.

Is Iceman playable in Legends 2? I find him the funnest character to play in Legends 1.

Oh, and we just finished Legends 1 last night. So we're going to have to hunt down Legends 2, the Best Buy we went to today didn't have any (so we picked up Smallville Season 3, instead). :)
