they could be for anyone ...... all you have to do is solve a case..like the most recent one i did was The Secret of The Scarlet Hand (pretty hard) and something gets stolen from a museum and you have to solve the case and find out who did it
there fun and i cant wait to get a new one!

I've seen them in stores, and I read some of the books a while back, but I have never played the games. I have heard that they are somewhat like Sherlock Holmes.

Have you checked out Her Interactive's site? http://www.herinteractive.com/prod/index.shtml These are the games it lists:
Secrets Can Kill
Stay Tuned for Danger
Message in a Haunted Mansion
Treasure in the Royal Tower
The Final Scene
Secret of the Scarlet Hand
Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake
The Haunted Carousel
Danger on Deception Island
The Secret of Shadow Ranch
Curse of Blackmoor Manor
Secret of the Old Clock
I've only solved one out of the three or four I have! Message in a Haunted Mansion - it's a ton of fun! I just uninstalled Scarlet Hand since I haven't played in over a year and don't know what's going on. It was hard and I went to France last summer so I just gave up on it.

I love those Nancy Drew games! So far I've beaten:
Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon
Treasure in the Royal Tower
Secret of the Haunted Carosaul
I am working on the Secret of Shadow Ranch right now. I almost beat the Scarlet Hand but our computer crashed so I have to start over. Same with Danger on Deception Isle and Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake (I was really close on this one too) :D

Oh man, I got hooked on these things years ago. My sister, my best friend, and I have solved all of them except The Curse of Blackmoor Manor. My favorite has to be The Secret of Shadow Ranch. I'm not sure why, but I really like that one.
My sister LOVES these games and has all of them. And guess who has to play with her because she gets terrifed.
