The Last Son Chapter 1
This is my first fic so be nice!
Timeline: 5 months after the 2nd Meteor Shower
Disclaimer: I dont own any of these characters
Rating: PG-13 for Violence
It was a bright and sunny Smallville day. Clark was just finishing up his chores when Lana came by.
"Hi Clark!"
*Clark and Lana were back together ever since the end of the 2nd meteor shower. Clark was even thinking about telling Lana his secret he just couldnt find the words*
"Hey Lana"
*They kissed*
"Missed you yesterday at Chloe's farewell party"
"Well me and Chloe havent been on speaking terms ever since we told her we were back together"
"Yeah i dont understand why she was so jealous i mean...i dont love her they way i love you"
"She tries to smile, but she only manages to get a little one out and seems very sad"
"Dont you dare, think this is your fault Lana"
"I dont...but i dont think i exactly helped her...you know"
"Know what?"
"Lois called me today and...."
"What is it Lana?"
"Chloes was admitted to Summerholt....she has been named Legally Insane"
"Oh no...."
"Scene Shifts to the closed Memory Lane department at summerholt"
" Is everything going according to plan?"
" Yes sir Mr. Luthor but to get the department re-opened we need a current paitent to sign a petition to get it open"
"I know just the person....."
"He goes to Chloes room"
"Hello there Chloe, hows your life going since eveything you ever wanted is gone and youve been named legally insane?"
"Chloe just sits off in a corner staring at the wall"
"You know Chloe as much as ive always wanted to see this i cant help but feel sorry for you"
"She turns her head to lex"
" What would you say, if i said with your signature you could take out the ultimate revenge on Clark for doing this to you?"
"Lex you have my attenion"
"Good Chloe, very good"
*Back to Clark's house as him and Lana are watching movies*
"Wow that was a good movie Clark said as he looked into Lana's eyes"
"Well Clark i thought it was good but considering we just held each other and kissed, while we watched it"
"Why do you think i picked our Lord of the Rings? That way we could hold each other and kiss for 3 hours"
"Clark *she said as she kissed him* you dont have to watch a movie if you just want to make out"
"Yeah i guess so....its just lately..."
"Lately what?"
"Ive been feeling a ....rage inside me an anger i cant control"
"Towards who?"
'Towards..Lex'
"Lex? why?"
*Lana knew that Lex tried to come on to her but she hasnt told him that*
'I .....dont know exactly its like something inside me. Is trying to tell me he is plotting something..."
"Maybe you should sleep on it?"
'Maybe....Good night Lana"
"Good night Clark"
*they kissed each other good night*
"See you tomorrow love"
*Lana got in her car and drove back to the Talon*

*Lana arrives at her apartment and hears a voice from behind*
"Who is i-"
*She didint have enough time to get the words out before he is knocked out*
"Hehe Clark will certainly come when his little girlfriends life is at stake"
*Clark wakes up the next morning*
"Ahhh what a great day maybe ill call L-"
*He notices a note on the door*
"Clark if you want Lana back you will have to come by the Memory Lane part of Summerholt"
Lex
*Clarks eye turn a dark-yellow and Dark Red color and his voice changes to a monster sounding voice*
"LEX!!"
Sorry to cut it so short here guys but ill post part 3 either tonight or tomorrow morning i promise

Ok, i got more time that i thought. So, heres part 3!
The Last Son Part 3
*Clark Came out of his monterous state wondering what had just happend*
"Wha? what was that! i dont like this....i dont like this at all...i must see Jor-el"
*Clark superspeeds off to the caves to meet his biological father, in the meantime at Memory Lane*
"Where am I???" said Lana
"Welcome back Lana you might remember this place from the papers"
"What? Lex? what did you do!"
"This....this is the machine that that docter used. On me to try and get back my 2 weeks of memory. Back, except i made a few modifications..."
"Modifications?"
"Yes now instead of just hearing the people talk about there memorys you can see them on this screen!"
"Thats insane Lex!"
"Perhaps Lana....perhaps but once i find out Clark's past i will also find his weakness. And thus eliminating him once and for all"
"Where do i come in on this??"
"You my dear are the bait. Clark will never let you get hurt. You are his major weakness Lana. Plus, i enjoy your company."
"You'll never get away with this Lex"
"Think what you want Lana but you will have a front row seat"
"Guards!"
"Mr Luthor?"
"Shackle her up on the wall there i wouldnt miss this for the world"
"Yes sir"
"Why Lex? why are you doing this?"
"A man cannot deny his destiny Lana, besides...a friend wanted this to happen as much as I did"
"A friend?"
"Come on out now"
" Oh..my..god.."
*At the caves Clark is just putting in the key so he can ask Jor-el whats happening*
"Jor-el! whats happening to me? did you do this?"
"No, my son its a power you and only you have..."
"What power???"
"The power of the Last Son"
"The last son???"
"A power stronger than anything from the depths of the universe. Only a Kryptonian who has been exposed to the suns rays for so long he will become all powerfull"
"But....Kryptonite it can kill me"
"Not while under that power my son. The power you will receive can only be called upon a few times in your life. And only under extreme anger or concern for someone or something."
"Is there anyway to be rid of it?"
"Yes i can remove the power if you wish..."
"No....not yet at least.. I need to do something first"

*Clark Superspeeds to Summerholt to save Lana*
"Lex! where are you and wheres Lana?"
"Oh she is right here Clark and now she will finally see what her lover boy REALLY is"
"Clark! *Lana screamed as tears started coming to her eyes*
"Lan..*he could even get out the words before he was weakend by the kryptonite pool*
"Clark whats happening to you???"
"Well, well seems my partner here was right after all"
"Chloe steps out of the shadows and looks at Clark"
"Chloe..?..wha?"
"Yes, its me Clark remember? the girl who kept your secret and you STILL wouldnt love me? And you just went back to Lana. You put me in this place!!!"
"Chloe! Clark didint do anything to put you here. You did it yourself!"
*Chloe walked up and slapped Lana across the face as hard as she could*
"I wouldnt say anything Lana. After we do a little memory check on Clark i doubt you will feel the way you feel now."
"I dont beleive that"
"We'll see about that"
"Mr. Luthor, Kent is all loaded up and ready to go"
"Excellent put up the shields and lets get started"
"Ok Clark, now...take yourself back to your earliest memorys"
*Memory screen switches to Krypton where Lara is holding her baby and taking him around the city*
"Look Kal-el this will be yours someday when your older. The wonderous city and the wonderful people who live in it. Your father is soon to be head of the council which means you will take over and be most powerful person on all of krypton"
*Jor-el runs to Lara from afar*
'Lara we must hurry'
"Jor-el whats going on?"
*Memory screen shifts to the ship launching and Krypton exploding*

Part 5

"So.....Krypton...your an alien. And you thought you could be a human? Pathetic"
Lana had no idea what to think. She loved Clark and saw the agony he has been going through but still was so confused.
"I KNEW IT! IM NOT CRAZY!" Chloe said jumping up and down with excitement
"So, Lana what do think of your lover boy now?" Chloe said with a smirk on her face
Lana didint respond but just looked at Clarks eyes him going through so much pain
"Let's continue" Lex said his voice cold as ice

Memory screen switches to Clark as a child growing up on the farm and discovering his powers
"Ok son ill throw the football and you run and catch it ok?"
"Yeah dad! throw it throw it!"
"Here goes"
Johnathon throws the ball Clark runs off in that direction. And in the blink of an eye he is deep in the woods somewhere
3 hours pass by and Martha finally finds him. By this time he is crying and screaming cause of the loneliness.
"Clark!"
"Mommy!!!!!!"
He runs up and grabs onto her crying loudly
"Mommy whats happening to me?! I'm such a freak!"
"Shhhhh your not a freak, sweetheart your speacial. Your my speacial little boy"

"Oh Clark....." Lana said this with great despair in her voice and tears flowing down her cheeks
"Clark! I dont care i still love you Clark!" Lana said trying to get his attenion
"He cant hear you Lana the shield is sound proof" Chloe said with a satisfied look on her face
"OK Lets do this again except this time up the Meteor rock voltage to his brain"
"Lex you savavge unfeeling beast!"
"Somebody shut her up"
"It'll be my pleasure Lex"
Chloe takes the guards nightstick and slam's Lana over her head as hard as she could
Clark see's this and becomes enraged
" LANA!!!! YOU WILL ALL DIE EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU SHALL DIE!!!!!!"
"Increase the voltage NOW!"
The voltage of krypo-lightning stops Clarks power-up and he goes back into memory-mode

The Memory screen switches to Clarks first conversation with his father
"Kal-el, my son it is time"
"Time for what?"
"Time to leave this place and fufill your destiny"
When Clark refuses it shows him getting branded by Jor-el
***
Clark looks over and see's Lana starting to come to. He remembers his love for her and the memory screen changes....

Memory Screen switches to Clark and Lanas picnic
"Ive wanted this for so long, and that i have it...i just dont want it to go away"
***
Clark remembers the pain from that day and the Memory Machine starts shorting out
"NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!" Clark shouted out remembering the pain of being without Lana. And going through life alone
"Clark! no! please stop this Lex!" Lana cried out with tears pouring out of her eyes.
"Increase his voltage"
"Sir that much could kill hi-"
"JUST DO IT!"

Part 6
The energy overloads Clark. And the screen flashes between all the painful emories of his past.

The memories flash from different parts of his life. Showing every one of his powers and after the memories flash for over 20 minutes. It sets to one memory......
"Clark I want you to know, no matter what happends. I will never forget you"
"Lana your talking like were never gonna see each other again."
"I Love You"
"I love you too"
*They kiss passionatly*

By this time Lana is crying heavily wondering if they will ever get out of this to see each other again
Chloe still had a satisfied look on her face. But still hurt that, that wasnt her he was kissing
"This is getting interesting" Lex said with a smirk on his face " This machine also seems to show emotions,fears, wants and dreams. I'ts time to see what this thing can really do"
Lana, by this time only wanted Clark to hold her and tell her it will all be ok. And couldnt bear to look at the screen any longer. But she had to for if she didint the guards would beat her senseless until she did. and "Clark wouldnt want that" she thought to herself. But, at the same time she wanted Clark to tell her she didint want to find out like this.
"Before we do anything. We need to sedate him."
Lex gives the nod to the scientist to inject Clark with some kind of Kryptonite-drug
"Lex please!!! *Lana said with a deep pain in her voice barely being able to speak* anymore meteor rock could kill him! please!
"To little to late Lana. *Lex said with jealousy and hatered in his voice*
"Ok Clark, what do you fear?"

Memory Screen switches to Clarks nightmare in which Lana does not accept him
"Your not even human"
"Lana I wanted to tell you"
"You killed my parents. there gone because of you!"
"Lana....please...help me"
*Lana picks up a sharp piece of kryptonite and stabs Clark. In which case he wakes up from a memory state screaming*

Lana felt terrible that Clark had to fear that. And felt even worse that she ever doubted him
"Mr Luthor his power is growing unstable. We cant do much more he is starting to break free."
"No! we cant stop now do it again!"
"Ok Clark what is your destiny?"
"To be Alone" Clark said without hesitation

Memory screen switches to Clark as superman flying and landing high on a building. His cape getting blown around in the wind. It was dark and he looked on as his work for the day was done.
These words flew around in his head
"Your are destined to be alone Kal-el you can have no other person in your life"
"Clark looked over the city and a small tear went down his cheek"

"Pathetic" Lex said his voice cold as ice
"No, Clark! you will NEVER be alone! I LOVE YOU CLARK! I always have and i always will! And i will never leave you to that fate!" Lana said truthfully
"Lan-la-Lana?!" Clark said snapping out of his memory state
"HOW did he hear that?!?! Lex said with deep anger
"NO NO NO NO NO NO! I LOVE CLARK HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE WITH ME AND I WONT LET LANA GET IN MY WAY AGAIN!"
Chloe grabbed a guards gun and pointed it at Lana
"Goodbye Lana"

Part 7
Chloe was about to blow Lana's head off. She put her finger on the trigger then....
"NO LANA! NO"
Clarks voice once again turned deep and powerful. As he let off a red energy that neutralized the memory machine, shattered the shield and and blew the gun right out of Chloes hands. And in the process shocks her so hard she passes out
"Sir, he is unstable! the whole building the coming down!"
"Get me out of here NOW!"
"What about the blonde girl?"
"Leave her, now lets move"
Lex attempted to run off but Clark notices him. And by this time Clark is hovering his eyes dark red power is flowing through every part of his body
"Not so fast"
Lex turned around only to see a beam of energy shooting him dead in the face. And he goes flying 90 feet.
"MY FACE MY FACE!" Lex screamed out as his skin started to melt. 'He was wiggling around on the floor like the worm he is' Clark said
Lana mortified by what she see's looks at Clark with tears in her eyes and mouthed "Please Clark....lets go home"
"The ceiling is coming down!!!!" Yelled one of the guards as he put a passed out Lex over his shoulders only to be crushed by a piece of the ceiling
"He is gone....It's done....." Said Clark as the power left his body
"Clark!!" Screamed Lana as a piece of the ceiling came crashing above her
"Lana!" Clark goes into super-speed mode picks up Lana and FLYS out
"Clark?! how....how..."
"Shh it will be ok Lana as long as your in my arms nothing will happen to you"
Lana wanted to hear those words for the past 6 hours. But something was on her mind
"Chloe....what happend to Chloe?"
"Lana...I dont know and honestly at this point i dont care"
Lana was sad to hear those words come out of his mouth. But she really couldnt blame him
"But i promise you. You will NEVER have to deal with anything like that again"
"Now I understand Clark. Now i understand it all...Clark....I love you"
Clark landed under a tree, the same tree where they had there picnic years earlier
"Lana....I"
"Shhhh now its my turn to save you"
They kissed passionatly under the stars. And at that moment nothing mattered to Clark it was him and Lana. And nothing was going to happen to her again. He promised himself.....

Scene shifts to the remains of Summerholt institute and a bloody melted hand breaks through the gravel..

Part 8
Clark woke up under the oak tree holding Lana close in his arms. He watched her sleep for a few minutes, he wanted to remember this moment forever. Lana's head was buried in his chest as he looked on her beutiful face. "It's time to wake her up" Clark said "Lana? Lana..." she was asleep and wasnt going to be woken up that easily. So he kissed her tenderly on the lips. Her eyes sprung open.
"Morning beautiful"
"Morning" she said with a smile on her face
"I love when you smile like that" He said with a big grin on his face "Your nose crinkles up, most adorable thing on this planet"
Lana started smiling wide and giggling "See! there it is again!!"
"Stop it!" She said now laughing
Clark kissed her on the forehead it seemed like time was standing still for him. He still couldnt beleive this was happening he has loved Lana since he was 5. And now he has her and nothing will ever take her away again.
"I love you Lana Lang"
"I love you Clark Kent"
Clark leaned in to kiss her she didint pull away within seconds they were passionatly kissing each other.
"Lana.....I never really got a chance to talk to you about what you saw last night"
"Clark i saw what you have done for me...for everyone. I dont care what you are all I know is that i love you more than anything.
Clark could sense the truth in her voice. "Lana.....I...the meteor shower..."
"Clark, be quiet you did NOT kill my parents you were a child you had no control"
Lana saw the tear come down Clarks cheek and she wiped it away
"Lana....the second meteor shower WAS my fault...I didint reunite the stones in time"
Lana remembered what she saw on the memory screen
"Clark....if i remembered the screen corectly. The meteors came because blood was on the stone I got blood on it. It was my fault"
Clark had a look of confusion as he looked to Lana who was now crying
"Clark.......it was my fault....my fault"
"No, Lana it was NOT your fault! he said this as he held her close as she buried her head into his chest still crying" Lana it was Isobel not you. And if i had acted quicker and got the stones when i should have....none of this would have happend"
Lana didint say anything this time. There was no point in trying to win an argument with Clark when it came to his duties.
"Clark lets not say who did what just...please....hold me"
Clark gladly did that as a smile rolled over his face....Lana finally knew...and she accepted him

Meanwhile at the remains of Summerholt you see a disturbingly ugly metled Lex Luthor walking through the rubble as he was looking for something.
"Where is she....." Lex thought to himself
Lex heard the sirens coming and he paniced as he ran into the nearby woods
When Lex ran away you see a piece of rubble get pushed aside. revealing a blonde haried woman badly injured
"Thank god he finally left. Now....with Clarks new power...I cannot hurt him not even with Kryptonite... Then a smirk came over Chloe's face "But i can hurt the ones close to him

Sorry i didint update guys but my Dog which ive had since i was 4. Had a heart attack wedesday night and died i'll be a couple days on that update

Thanks for the support guys. But it seems we are getting some of that monster hurricane. Our power might be out for a while and im currently busy getting ready for it so still no update for a little while. sorry for this wait guys :(
