Chapter 1
As Clark walked down the hallway from the cafeteria back to his dorm for the last time, it finally hit him.
"This is all over," Clark whispered as he proceded down the hallway. It was their last day of Senior year at Metropolis University. As Clark looked around and saw his friends, his teachers, and former classmates acting crazy and talking a mile a minute he couldn't help but think about what he was going to do after college.
He had went to Met U to become a doctor, he figured that inspite of saving from danger or worry, he figured he could save people in a diffrent way, from pain and angony. Clark arrived at his dorm room and entered it, seeing his two roomates Aaron and Alec sitting on the edge of his bed watching a news special on the Luthor Plant in Smallville. Clark rolled his eyes and walked over
there.
"Hey!" Clark paused as they turned around to look at him "What are you guys up to? Its the last day of college and your watching T.V. I thought you would be out with the crowd, macking on girls, or at least packing."
"Ya know what Kent?" Alec said as he got up off the bed. "Your weirder then I thought. I mean we've lived with eachother for what... four years... and you just get worse everyday." Alec said jokinging.
"Thanks guys...I appriciate the support." Clark said smiling.
"Nah Kent I'm just messing with you..." Alec debated as Aaron got up off the bed and walked over to wear the wall of boxes was blocking the sunlight from filling up the room.
"I can't believe it's finally over," Aaron sighed as he looked up at the boxes. "guys I think i'm gonna cry!" He said as he put his hands up to his face playfully. "I mean what fun is it gonna be after college...I mean getting a job, more responsibilitys and eventually only spending your life with ONE girl, whoever said life was better after high school and college obviously had everything going for them."
Clark and Alec both walked over to Aaron and looked at him.
"Lets all just huddle together and cry!" Alec responded making fun of Aaron.
"Ha! Ha! Very funny." Aaron indulged as he punched Alec in the arm. "Speaking of girls...hows it going with yours?" Aaron said turning to Clark.
"Yeah...where is Lana? I havnt seen her around in like a week. Is everything okay between you two?" Alec questioned also turning to face Clark.
"Yea, It's never been better. Later today we're both taking a trip home... back to Smallville. Then from there I guess we'll see what happens. I guess I should go see how far along she is from being ready to go." Clark turned away from the two and headed for the door. "I'll catch up with you two later."
As Clark exited his room and wandered down the hall in the direction of Lana's dorm he started thinking about all him and Lana have been through over the years, everything they've been through and have expierenced together, suddenly without realizing it he got an incredibly big smile on his face.
"CLARK...!!! CLARK....!!! CLARK...!!! WAIT UP!!"
Clark recognized the voice from the instant he heard it. It was Chloe. As Clark turned around slowly him and Chloe collided, and they both fell to the ground, Chloe ending up on Clark.
"Woah, Chloe..." Clark mumbled as Chloe got up off him.
"Thanks Clark," She said as her warm smile began to caress her face again. "Doesnt it only seem that we were just doing this in the halls of Smallville High."
"Yea...it's hard to believe that it's all over." Clark said looking down at Chloe. "So do you think that the Daily Planet is ready for Miss Chloe Sullivin?"
Chloe's smiled and her reaction spoke for her. And Clark bent down to hug her.

After Clark and Chloe said their goodbyes, Clark headed down the hall again, towards Lana's room. When he got there he peaked through the open door, and looked around for Lana. When he didn't see her he entered the room and heard noise coming from inside the closet. As Clark approached heard Lana let out a slight groan and heard something hit the hard floor.
Clark rushed over to the closet and looked inside seeing Lana standing up looking down at a box that was filled to the top with shoes. Clark's face lit up as he entered the closet and walked over to Lana. As Clark came up behind Lana she became startled, falling backwards almost tripping over the box, but catching herself.
"Woah...sorry I didn't mean to scare you," Clark said apologizing.
"No, It's okay I just wasn't expecting you yet."
"So are ya having trouble?" Clark said bringing his gaze from
Lana down to the box on the floor.
Lana's face almost suddenly intertwined with the smile that Clark loved so much as she replied, "Yeah, could you give me a hand?"
"Sure, no problem," Clark replied as he approached the box, and picked it up without breaking a sweat. "Where do ya want it," he questioned.
"Over there by the rest of them," Lana said as she pointed to a cornor filled with other boxes.
Clark approached the counter and set down the box, then made his way back towards Lana who was turned around once again, placing hangers inside another box. Clark made his way up behind her, and put his arms around her. As Lana turned her head, Clark bent down and their lips met, locking them in a passionate kiss.
A few moments later, Clark was helping Lana finish packing up her closet, when he stumbled across what looked like a photoalbum. He bent down to pick it up noticing something fall out of it, it was a picture of them dancing at prom, he smiled and went over to Lana still carrying the book, making sure nothing else was to fall out.
"Hey baby, what is this?" He asked as he held out the album so she could she what he was reffering to.
Lana smiled. "It's my memory book," she replied taking it from his hands and walking over to the matresses that once made up her bed. She sat down and motioned for Clark to do the same. Clark approached her and sat down beside her.
As Lana opened the book Clark saw 'Freshman Year' in bold letters at the top of the first page, then as his gaze moved down he saw a picture of Lana and Whitney. He looked up at Lana as her smile semi faded as she moved her hand over the picture, she soon smiled again as she turned the page. At the top of the next page..was a newspaper cliping from the Torch, labeled 'Local Farmboy Saves Smallville Crow Quarterback Whitney Fordman.' Clark's smile grew wider as Lana's gaze left the book and made its way to him.
"You were Smallville's very own Superman," She stated as their eyes met one anothers. "Speaking Of Smallville," she started again. "What time are we going back?"
"Probably later tonight...after the end of the year party, I was kinda hoping we could go together."
"Is that an offer?" Lana questioned.
"Well actually..." Clark started then began laughing. "Yea...that was an offer."
"In that case...I'd love to," Lana replied as she flipped to the next page.
