Love Vs. Destiny

This is my first post here and i hope you like my story, this is the first chapter, tell me if you want more or not.

Intro: All his life Clark Kent had been fighting his destiny and ever since the second Meteor Shower he has escaped it. Living the life of a normal 18 year old kid at Kansas U with his beautiful girlfriend Lana Lang free from jor-el or so he thought......

Kent's House:

Matha: Clark wake up, time for school.

*Clark rolls out of bed.*

Clark: Coming Mom.

Matha: You're going to be late again.

*Clark superspeeds into the shower, brushes his teeth and puts on his clothes, heading downstairs*

Matha: right on time, he's your breakfast.

Clark: Thanks Mom.

*Then all of a sudden clark hears this ringing*

Clark: AWWWWWWWW

Martha: What is it?

Clark: The key.

*Superspeeds to the barn, takes the key and goes to the cave*

Jonathon: Where's clark?

Martha: He heard a ringing sound, it was the key and i think he went to the cave.

Jonathon: Oh no!

*Scene shifts to Kansas U, where Lana is at her locker, getting her books*

Lois: Hey lana

Lana: Hey lois, how's chloe?

Lois: She's good, having fun at Met U, but misses all of us.

Lana: Yeah, me and clark miss her too.

Lois: She said she's coming home this weekend.

Lana: Great.

Lois: So how's it going with you and Clark?

Lana: Awesome, we've been together for months now and i've never been happier.

Lois: I always thought you two were something special.

Lana: *Smiles* so did I. Well, i'll see ya later.

Lois: Bye.

*Scene shifts to Clark at the caves, where he's put the key into the slot to talk to Jor-el*

Jor-el: Welcome back my son.

Clark: What do you want?

Jor-el: To inform you, that it's also time to forfill your destiny.

Clark: My destiny is whatever i make of it.

Jor-el: No Kal-el, your destiny is to rule!

Clark: And what if i don't?

Jor-el: Then the lives of many people will be changed forever and not for the better.

Clark: What do you mean? I don't understand?

Jor-el: The choice is yours Kal-el, you can forfill your destiny or be stripped of your powers. I will give you 2 days.

*Flashes of light fill the cave and clark is left standing there, wondering what to do.*

Well, i hope you like it. I tried to make it more up to date and believeable to the circumstances.

Great start, you have a nice style of writing, but I think you should also try to stretch it out over a longer period of time. It was kind of strange how quickly Clark went to the caves, without thinking about the consequences. Anyways, great start and great plot. It will probably be really good.

Alright here's chapter 2:

*After hearing from Jor-el, clark superspeeds home to talk to his parents. Each have been waiting worried of what might have been said to their son. They also called Kansas U and informed them clark was sick, he wouldnt be coming to school today*

Jonathon: CLARK, what happen?

Clark: I heard the key ringing in my head while i was eating my breakfast. So then i went to the barn, got the key and headed to the cave.

Jonathon: Son, what were you thinking? Why didn't you wait to talk to us before going there? You know how dangerous it can be.

Clark: I guess i wasn't thinking, hard to think when your head's ringing. I just knew i had to go.

Martha: Are you okay?

Clark: Yes, well no, not after what was said.

Jonathon and Martha: What did jor-el want?

Clark: He told me it was time to forfill my destiny.

Jonathon: Not again.

Clark: He told me i had to make a choice, either lose my powers forever or forfill my destiny. I have no idea what he means by forfilling my destiny, but i don't like it.

Jonathon: Clark, you make your own destiny, no one can decide that for you.

Clark: I know, but i fear the consequences may be worse. If i lose my powers, i can't help anyone and i'll just be normal.

Martha: Isn't that what you have wanted your entire life?

Clark: It is and now more than ever. I want to stay here with lana and never leave her. I fear that if i forfill my destiny, that i'll have to leave her and i can't do that, not again.

Jonathon: Whatever you decide is fine with us, no one can blame you for wanting to leave a normal life with the girl you love.

Martha: Maybe it would help to talk to lana and maybe tell her your secret?

Clark: I don't know, the last thing i want is for her to worry about me. Things between us have never been better and i want to keep it that way. That reminds me, i promised i'd meet lana at the talon at 5.

Jonathon: Alright, take care.

Martha: Bye honey.

*Clark takes the keys to the truck and heads out to go to the talon, scene shifts to the talon where lana is sitting down and an old friend arrives*

Lana: CHLOE

*They hug*

Chloe: Hey Lana, i've missed so much.

Lana: Oh, me too.

Chloe: How are things between you and clark going?

Lana: Fantastic, how's things in Met U?

Chloe: Nice to hear and things are good at Met U. Plus i got a job at the Daily Planet from Perry White. He said a friend of clarks is a friend of his. By the way, where's clark?

Lana: He should be here any minute.

*Clark arrives in his red truck, with a big smile on his face*

Clark: HEY CHLOE, oh man, i haven't seen you in a while, how are things?

*They hug*

Chloe: Great, i have a job at the Daily Planet thanks to you and Mr. White.

Clark: That's nice, hey lana, i missed you today.

*Lana and Clark kiss*

Lana: I missed you too, glad to have the old group back together.

Chloe: It is, it's hard being away from all your friends. We should all catch up this weekend.

*Clark face turns sour as he remembers the decision he must make this weekend. He had almost forgot after seeing his best friend return and kissing the love of his life, but after Chloe mentioned the weekend, he remembered. Lana and Chloe stare at a now depressed Clark*

Lana; What's wrong?

Chloe: Yeah Clark, i thought you might want to spend time with your two favorite people, but i guess not.

Clark: It's not that, i just have to go now. It was nice seeing you, bye.

*Before Clark could leave, Lana grabbed his arm*

Lana: Are you sure everything is okay?

*Clark lies*

Clark: Yeah, everything is fine.

*They kiss goodbye and Clark heads into his truck on his way back home, to his loft*

Chloe: Well, the more things change, the more things stay the same.

*Chloe and Lana both smile*

*Scene Shifts to LuthorCorp, Level 33.1*

Lex: Are they ready?

Molly: Yes sir, they have regained their powers and are ready to take over Smallville.

*Lex Grins and looks in on them*

*You can see Adam Broody(sp?), Ian(Clone guy), Eric summers and Seth(from magnetic).*

Lex to all of them: Your mission is to take over Smallville, then the world.

All of them: What about Clark?

*Lex realizing he still does have some feelings for clark as a friend, even though they are not what they use to be*

Lex: If he gets in your way, destroy him.

Chapter 3

*Kents House*

Martha: Where is he?

Jonathon: In the loft.

Martha: Alone?

Jonathon: Yep.

Martha: What should we do?

Jonathon: There's nothing we really can do, he's old enough to decide for himself what he wants to do with his life.

Martha: I can't help, but worry about him and the decision he has to make.

Jonathon: Me neither, but i have faith that he was raised well enough to make the right decision for himself.

*They both smile and hug*

Martha: I hope you're right.

*Scene shifts to Clark in his loft, looking at a picture of him and Lana when they were Freshmen. Then he hears foot steps*

Chloe: Always hiding in your loft.

Clark: Chloe this isn't really a good time.

Chloe: Yeah i was sure of that, but i had to come anyways. So what's up.

Clark: Remember when i told you everything was going great, nobody trying to expose my secret and no jor-el?

*Chloe knowing his secret, after clark had told her before her left for Met U*

Chloe: Yeah.

Clark: Well, that has changed.

Chloe: What happened?

Clark: The key was ringing, so i got it and went to the cave earlier today.

Chloe: You should have just ignored it?

Clark: Yeah well, jor-el isn't exactly someone you ignore. Anyways, he told me that i had a choice to make. Either forfill my destiny or lose my powers forever?

Chloe: Wow, i'm guessing that your decision has something to do with Lana or everything to do with her.

*Clark Smiles*

Clark: You always could see right through me and it does. It's like i have to choose between my love and my destiny.

Chloe: Never an easy choice, especially when it's your life.

Clark: It's like all these years i've been trying to avoid my destiny and i just can't. No matter what i do or how hard i try it's impossible to avoid. I just love Lana so much, i can't lose her, because of this, but what choice do i have?

Chloe: You always have a choice, but if you lose your powers it's almost as if you lose a part of yourself. You're a hero Clark.

*Looks up at her*

Clark: I know, like i said, what choice do i have.

Chloe: That's the tough thing about life, there's never an easy choice to make. Well, i'll see you later. Come find me if you want to talk, i'll be staying with my dad.

Clark: Alright, see ya.

*Chloe gets up and walks down the stairs, then suddenly stops*

Chloe: Clark, I wouldn't blame you one bit, if you choose her.

*She smiles at him and he smiles back.*

*Scene shifts to the city of Smallville, where a bank has just been robbed*

Ian: Wow, that was too easy.

Seth: No doubt, no one can stop us as long as Kent's not around.

Justin: What happens when he does get here?

Eric: Don't worry about that, i'll be ready.

Ian: He'll arrive. As soon as we pay a visit to a special someone.

Seth: Oh i've missed here.

Ian: Let's go.

*Scene shifts to Lana's apartment. There's a knock on the door*

Lana: Hello, who is it?

Ian: Your favorite tutor.

Lana: Oh no.

*She runs to the phone, but it has been disconnection and her door has just been ripped a part*

Lana: What do you want?

Seth: To get together again.

*They grabbed her and knock her out. Leaving the door wide open*

Chapter 4:

*Scene starts at Lana's house, where chloe has just arrived early in the morning the next day*

Chloe: Well, this doesn't look too good. LANA, LANA, where are you?

*looks around*

Chloe: This doesn't look right at all, i think she may been kidnapped or something. She just wouldn't the door wide open and the place is a mess. I better go see clark.

*Lex Enters*

Lex: What happen here?

Chloe: My guess is as good as yours, but i think Lana has been kidnapped.

Lex: My thoughts exactly, she wouldn't leave the door open and it looks like a struggle has taken place here.

Chloe: I have to go, bye lex.

*Chloe leaves and Lex's cell rings*

Lex: Hello

Ian: Hey boss, we got Lana Lang.

Lex: WHAT, i made it very clear what your mission was. Let her go NOW!

Ian: Come on boss, you're a smart guy, you know we can't take smallville without taking out Kent. The only way to get to Kent is through her, you know that better than anyone.

*Still struggling with his feelings for Lana and Clark*

Lex: You're right, but if you hurt her, i'll hurt you.

Ian: Alright, bye.

Lex: Bye.

*Scene shifts to the Kent house where Clark is just waking up*

Martha: Clark, breakfast is ready.

Clark: Coming.

*Clark superspeeds down*

Martha: Wow, you look tired today.

Clark: It was a long night.

Martha: Have you made a decision?

Clark: No and it's not getting any easier.

*Chloe knocks on the door and is welcomed in*

Clark: Hey CHloe.

Chloe: I....I...

Clark: Slow down, what's wrong?

Chloe: I think Lana has been kidnapped?

Clark: WHAT? How do you know?

Chloe: I went to see her early today and her was open, the place was a mess, plus she wasnt there.

*Some stranger knocks on the door*

Martha: I'll get it, who is it.

Ian: A friend of clarks.

Martha: Come in.

Ian: Hey Clark.

Clark: Ian, what are you doing here and how'd you escaped the mental hospital?

Ian: I got help from a friend, but that's not important. What's important is what i have to tell you.

Clark: Is it about Lana?

Ian: Yeah, she misses you Clark, i'm sorry we had to take her from you.

*Clark gets up and grabs Ian*

Clark: WHERE IS SHE?

Ian: Careful, you wouldn't want anything to happen to her.

Clark: If you don't tell me where she is, i'll break you in two and it won't be into another you.

*Ian Smiles*

Ian: She's at the old Smallville warehouse. i'll see you there Clark.

Clark: You're not going any where.

Ian: Yeah, but if i don't your girlfriend will be dead.

*Release Ian and let's him go*

Clark: Get out.

*Ian Leaves*

Martha: What are you going to do Clark?

Clark: I'm going to save her.

Chloe: It must be a trap Clark, why do you think he would tell you where she is.

Martha; She's right Clark.

Clark: I know, but i have to get her, one way or another.

*Clark walks out the door*

Chloe: What are we going to do?

Martha: Nothing we can do?

Chloe: Actually, there may be.

*Chloe takes out her cell phone and makes a call*

Chloe to cell: Hey Clark needs your help, can you be here?

Person on other end: Yeah, be there in a flash.

Chapter 5:

*The Smallville Warehouse*

Ian: Are we ready?

Seth: Oh yeah, it's just too bad i can't get Lana to love me again. Then we wouldn't need the green k at all.

Eric: Ready as always, did we get the electric generator like i asked?

Justin and Ian2: Yep, all is going according to plan.

*They look at Lana*

Ian: The things that love does to you, what a horrible weakness.

Eric: A weakness i got rid of four years ago.

*Clark arrives at the warehouse, knowing he's falling into a trap*

Clark: Alright i'll just superspeed in and get Lana out of there.

*Clark superspeeds in and goes to untie Lana, but finds green k rocks all around her*

Lana: CLARK, What's happening to you?

Seth: What Clark, you didn't tell her?

Ian: He's just like us Lana, a freak. Except he has 2 weakness green k and you.

*Lana looks in shock*

Eric: Alright bring him up and give me back those beautiful powers.

*All of a sudden the lights go out*

Justin: What the heck is that?

*Out of no where justin is sent sailing*

Ian2: What the hell?

*Both Ian's are hit by barrels and knocked out*

Eric: Come on quick, give me his powers.

*But before he can do it, they are both knocked through the window of the warehouse to the outside. Clark looks around and see's bart allen. Bart throws the green k far away from clark and helps him to his feet.*

Bart: You all right?

Clark: Thanks to you.

Bart: What are friends for, but we got to go. They still have us out numbered.

*Bart superspeeds away. Clark grabs Lana and superspeeds away with her in his arms. A limo pulls up*

Lex: I see you guys have failed already.

*They all struggle to their feet*

Ian: He had a friend we didn't know of.

Lex: Who?

Ian: We don't know, he was too fast.

Lex: Hmmmmmm. Don't disappoint me again or Clark will be the least of your worries.

*Scene shifts to the Kents house, where lana, clark, bart, chloe and clark's parents are.*

Jonathon: Well, i'm guessing everything turned out ok.

Clark: For now.

*As Clark looks at Lana, who has a shocked look on her face*

Chloe: Thanks to Bart.

*Chloe gives Bart a kiss on his cheek*

Bart: My pleasure, anything for a friend like Clark.

Clark: I owe you one.

Bart: Nah, i was repaying you for being you.

*Bart Grins*

Martha: Are you alright Lana?

Lana: I'm fine.

Chloe to Clark: Lana looks shocked, what happen?

Clark to Chloe: She knows my secret, ohh.

Jonathon: Well, Bart maybe you should stick around just in case those guys come back.

Bart: No problem.

Clark: Lana, can we go to the loft and talk?

Lana: Sure

Lana and Clark: See ya, thanks Bart.

*Clark and Lana walk out, hand in hand*

Martha: Did something happen between them?

Chloe: She knows his secret.

Everyone there: OHHHH.

*Scene shifts to the loft*

*Clark hugs and kisses her*

Clark: Are you alright, i was so worried.

Lana: Is it true what they said? Are you just like them?

Clark: No, but i think it's time you knew the truth. Here it is........

Chapter 6:

*Clark and Lana are up in his loft*

Clark: Lana, i'm not exactly from around here.

Lana: Oh, what do you mean and what does it have to do with what happen tonight?

Clark: I mean i'm from another planet, called Krypton. I came here during the meteor shower and i received these amazing abilities.

*Shows her all his powers*

Lana: So you came the day my parents were killed?

*In a very low voice*

Clark: yes.

Lana: oh.

Clark: I've always blamed myself for what happen that day. I would have never came, if i knew i would have caused you that kind of pain that day.

Lana: Why didn't you ever tell me?

Clark: Believe me, i wanted to, i thought about telling you every day of my life. I thought it would be too dangerous for you to know my secret, almost everyone who knows it either left or is dead. I couldn't put you in that kind of danger. i would never forgive myself if anything happened to you.

Lana: It's like i don't even know you.

Clark: What?

Lana: I have loved this man my for four years and i never really knew who he was or is.

Clark: Lana, you know me.

Lana: No, the Clark Kent i loved was an illusion.

*Lana places her hand on his face*

Lana: It was just a mask.

*Clark with his head down*

Clark: I.....

Lana: Sorry, i have to go. Goodbye.

*Lana walks down the stairs as Clark is about to say something, but chooses not to. As Lana becomes out of sight, she kicks the barn as hard as she can, before falling on her knees crying.*

Lana: *In a very low whisper* But i do love you.

*Clark stands alone in his loft now knowing what he has to do.*

*Scene shifts to LuthurCorp*

Lex: You guys have one more chance to prove yourself to me.

Ian: Don't worry we'll come through.

Lex: You better or else it's back to the mental house for you 4 or 5 in your case Ian.

Ian: This time we can't fail.

Lex: Why is that?

Ian: Because we have a new friend.

*Suddenly a green glow brust through the walls of LuthurCorp and a big man walks through them*

Lex: Who is that?

Ian: They call him the Kryptonian.

Lex: Impressive.

*The next morning Clark wakes up very earlier, knowing an important decision needs to be made. Before his parents wake up, he grabs the key and heads to the cave.*

Clark: Alright, i have made my decision.

*Puts the key into the slot*

Jor-el: Okay my son, what's your decision?

Chapter 7

*Clark is in the cave, talking to Jor-el about his decision*

Clark: Strip me of my powers.

Jor-el: What?

Clark: You heard me, strip me of my powers.

Jor-el: You are aware of the consequences?

Clark: Yes.

Jor-el: You are blinded by love.

Clark: How do you know that's why i made my decision?

Jor-el: My son, i know a lot more than you know.

Clark: Then you know how much i love her and what i'm willing to sacrifice for it?

Jor-el: Yes, but your destiny is greater than love.

Clark: Nothing is greater than love.

Jor-el: Alright, you have made your decision. Now live with it.

*A flash of light fills through the cave, as you can see a form of light being stripped from Clark's body*

Clark: Well, it's a long walk home.

*Scene shifts to Lana's house, later in the morning*

*Lana wakes up and looks at a picture on her desk. It's a picture of Clark at graduation. She quickly turns away, trying to forgot what happen yesterday*

Chloe: Hey Lana.

Lana: Chloe.

Chloe: Yeah, the door was unlocked. Sorry to wake you.

Lana: No problem, i couldn't sleep much at all.

Chloe: Did something happened between you and Clark.

Lana: Yeah, he told me his secret.

Chloe: How'd you take it?

Lana: Not good.

Chloe: Yeah, it's a shocking experience.

Lana: You mean you know his secret?

Chloe: Yeah, i found out, i saw Clark catch a car. I was in shock, the other stuff was also a little weird, but i got over it. Clark is my best friend, nothing can change that.

Lana: You're a little more understanding than I was.

Chloe: Why? Was it because he came the day of the meteor shower, when your parents died?

Lana: No, it was because i thought i didn't know the man i loved.

Chloe: Oh, but you do Lana.

Lana: Not like i thought.

Chloe: He's the still the same Clark, the man who you fell in love with. The powers don't change the way he fells or the way he acts, they just complicate it.

Lana: It's just......

Chloe: Listen to me Lana, all you need to do is ask yourself how you feel about him. If you can still say you love him, then it none of this should matter.

Lana: You're right. thanks Chloe.

Chloe: That's what friends are for.

*They hug*

*After a long walk home, Clark walks in all sweaty and out of breath*

Martha: My God, Clark you look horrible.

Clark: Thanks mom, always love your moral support.

Martha: I'm guessing you made your decision.

Clark: Yep.

*Jonathon comes in after doing his morning work*

Jonathon: Hey son, you alright?

Clark: Better than ever.

Jonathon: Really?

Martha: He made his decision.

Jonathon: Oh, what made up your mind?

Clark: Lana.

Jonathon: How?

Clark: Well, she said that the man she loved was an illusion and that she really didn't know me.

Martha: Wow, i wouldn't have expected that from Lana.

Clark: Me neither, but she's right. So i got rid of that part she didn't know and made myself just, Clark Kent.

Jonathon: Are you sure that's what you really wanted?

Clark: I am.

Jonathon: Well then, i support that. Just don't forget to inform everyone.

Clark: ok, well i'm going to see Lana now.

Martha and Jonathon: Bye

*Clark leaves*

Martha: Do we agree with his decision?

Jonathon: Doesn't matter, we have to let him live his life.

Chapter 8:

*Clark is Lana's house, he knocks on the door*

Lana: Yeah, who is it?

Clark: It's me.

Lana: Clark. Come in.

Clark: Hey, how are you doing?

Lana: Better, after talking to a friend.

Clark: I'm glad, i did throw a lot at you last night.

Lana: You did, but the way i acted was just out of frustration. All i ever wanted was for you to be honest with me and when you did, i got upset.

Clark: It's okay.

Lana: No, it isn't. Listen Clark.....

Clark: Lana i gave up my powers.

Lana: What?

Clark: I was talking to Jor-el, my real father and he said that i had a choice. Either forfill my destiny or be stripped of my powers.

Lana: So you choose to have your powers stripped? Clark did you forget about those four guys who kind of want to kill you, me and everyone else?

Clark: No.

Lana: Then what were you thinking?

Clark: I was thinking about you.

*Lana began to cry, knowing how much he loved her and what he was willing to sacrifice for her*

Lana: I love you Clark. I love you so much.

Clark: I love you too

*They kissed. Lana was so happy that he loved her so much, her forgot about the danger they were in.*

Lana: Clark, i want you to come by my apartment at 7pm tonight. Until then, have fun being normal.

Clark: Ok, bye.

*They kissed passionately and it was like time stood still. Since Clark had sacrificed something for her to show his love, she would do the same.*

*Scene shifts to the Kent's house, where chloe, bart and the kents are*

Chloe: What are we going to do?

Bart: Those guys are still out there.

Jonathon: I know, we'll find a way to stop them, even without Clark.

Bart: I don't understand why he gave up his powers.

Chloe: Two words, Lana Lang.

Bart: Oh, now it makes perfect sense.

*Grins at Chloe*

Chloe: ha ha.

Jonathon: Kind we be serious for a second here. Bart can you handle them by youself?

Bart: I don't know, they've seen me move, they're probably prepared this time.

Martha: I'm sure Clark can still help. Powers or not, he's still a hero.

*Scene shifts to Clark and Lana walking out of the apartment still kissing and saying goodbye. When all of a sudden the bank is being robbed by a masked man with a gun. Then the man bumps into Lana and pushes her down. Clark goes after him, but is stopped my Lana.*

Lana: No powers remember.

Clark: Oh yeah.

*Clark stops with a depressed look on his face, knowing he should have stopped him. Lana see's the look and kisses him on the cheek.*

Lana: It's okay Clark, you're still my hero.

*He smiles and leaves.*

*Scene shifts to Luthur Corp*

Ian: Alright here's the plan. We're going to go right after him, hit him where it hurts, at home.

Seth: Are you ready big man.

Kryptonian: Yes.

Ian: Let's go get the rest of the guys and then we'll go pay them a visit. I'd say, around 7.

Chapter 9:

*Clark's loft, around 6, Clark's getting ready to meet Lana. When Chloe and Bart come in*

Clark: Hey guys.

Bart: Hey man.

Chloe: Clark you sure are looking handsome tonight.

Clark: Me and Lana have a special date tonight at her house.

Chloe: Oh, we heard what happen eariler today.

Clark: Oh, what do you think?

Chloe: You know what i think and like i said "I wouldn't blame you if you choose love".

*Clark Smiles*

Bart: How does it feel?

Clark: Normal.

Bart: Wow, that's different.

*They all laugh*

Bart: Do you miss having powers?

Clark: A little bit, i mean i do feel like a little part of me has been taken.

Bart: I don't know what i'd do if my power was taken from me. I'd probably have to slow down.

*Bart grins*

Chloe: Anyways, what do you plan on doing about the freaksome 4?

Clark: There's nothing i can do.

Chloe: Just because you don't have powers doesn't mean your powerless to stop them. Being a hero doesn't take having powers, but the will to do the right thing.

Clark: It's just i want to put that part of my life behind me.

Chloe: I understand, but you can't change who you are. Powers or not.

Bart: Don't worry Clark, if they come by, i'll take of them.

Chloe: Have fun tonight Clark.

Clark; Thanks, see ya.

Bart and Chloe: Bye.

*Scene shifts to LuthurCorp*

Lex: Here's your last chance and remember not to hurt them unless nessacary.

Ian: Sure thing boss.

Lex: I'm warning you, if this goes wrong, i won't be happy.

Ian: Don't worry, we got this handled.

*They move out to the Kent's*

*One hour later at Lana's apartment. Knock Knock.*

Lana: Is that you Clark?

Clark: Yep.

Lana: Come on in.

*Clark enters, with the room dark, only lit by candles and lana in a rob*

Clark: Wow, do you have a surprise under the rob for me?

*Clark Grins*

Lana: Yep.

Clark: What is it?

Lana: Just me.

Clark: awwww.

Lana: Clark you made the biggest sacrifice for our relationship and love. It made me realize how much i do love you and i want to show you.

*Lana unrobs to show her naked body*

Clark: ummm, are you sure we're ready?

*Lana takes off Clark's shirt*

Clark: I'll take that as a yes.

*Clark takes off his clothes and they make it Lana's bedroom kissing.(Use your imagination about what happens next)*

*Scene shifts to the Kent house, where the 4 freaks have arrived with the Kryptonian*

Ian: Alright, here we go.

*The Kents and Bart are having dinner, Chloe went home to see her dad.*

Ian: Do it Justin.

*All of a sudden the plates and silverware on the table float in the air hitting the kents. However the flash was too fast for them and got away, until he was nailed by the Kryptonians beam.*

Seth: Nice shot.

Eric: Where's Kent?

Ian: Must have left?

Ian2: We checked his loft, he's not there.

Ian: Alright, we'll just leave him a message. Take the fast one and leaves these two here.

*They take flash and write Clark a note.*

Chapter 10:

*Lana's apartment. Clark wakes up with his arm around Lana and kisses her on the forehead.*

Clark: Hey, wake up.

Lana: Hey, good morning.

Clark: Good morning to you.

*They kiss*

Lana: Last night was amazing.

Clark: I know, what can i say.

*Clark grins and she punches lightly on the shoulder.*

Lana: Are you lost all your powers?

*She smiles*

Clark: I'm know, hey why don't we go to my house for some breakfast. I'm sure my mom will have breakfast made.

Lana: Sure.

*They get dressed and went to the Kent's house. It took about 10 minutes by car and Clark noticed something was wrong.*

Clark: Something isn't right. Mom, Dad.

Lana: Mr. Kent, Mrs. Kent.

*They walk in the house*

Lana: Oh my God.

Clark: Mom, Dad, what happen?

Martha: We were attacked by those 4 freaks and another guy,

Clark: What guy?

Jonathon: We didn't get a good look at him.

Clark: So now there's five guys with powers vs. a powerless Clark Kent.

Lana: What are you going to do?

Clark: I don't know.

*Clark notices a note on the table. He reads it.*

Clark: Come to Smallville high school alone or your little friend will be killed.

Martha: Oh Clark, you can't go.

Clark: I have to.

Lana: THEY'LL KILL YOU.

*Clark holds Lana close. Looks her in the eyes.*

Clark: I promise i'll make it back to you.

*Clark Smiles*

Lana: Be careful.

*They watch as Clark goes out the door.*

Jonathon: Don't you two worry about Clark he's faced worst odds before.

Martha: Yeah, but not without his powers.

*Martha begins to cry as Jonathon holds her and smiles at Lana to reasure her.*

*As Clark drove, he had no idea what to do. He had no idea how to beat them by himself, especially without his powers. Then he remembers.*

Clark: I still have one friend left.

*Picks up and dails on his Cell*

Clark: Hey it's Clark, i need your help.

Person on cell: Anytime, luckly i'm in smallville today, what do you need?

Clark: Meet me at school.

Person cell: Alright.

*Scene shifts to Smallville high. Where the 5 villians are with Flash tied up.*

Justin: Can someone tell me why we're back in school?

Ian: Seemed like a nice place to kill someone.

Eric: I hate school.

Seth: Yeah, i couldn't stand being here and now i'm back.

Ian2: Can you guys concentrate for one second? Are you prepared for Kent, big man?

Kryptonian: Yep.

Chapter 11:

*Clark drives out close to the school, but far enough away not to be seen as another car comes right behind. Clark and the person get out of the car and truck.*

Clark: Hey man, i've missed you so much since you've left.

*They hug*

Pete: I've missed you to man.

Clark: I'm just sorry we had to reunite like this.

Pete: Me too.

Clark: So here's the plan. i need you to distract them as sneak in the back and untie bart.

Pete: Alright.

Clark: Take my truck so they think it's me.

*Scene shifts to inside the school. As Pete drives up in his truck, beeping the horn to get their attention, as he's going it, Clark sneaks around.*

Ian: He's here, let's go, Eric stay with the fast one.

Eric: Alright.

Ian: Take the green k, just in case.

*The other 4 walk outside to meet Clark.*

Ian: Come out of the car Kent.

*Kryptonian looks in the truck with his x-ray vision.*

Kryptonian: That's not Kal-El.

Ian: Then blow to pieces.

*The Kryptonian fires his green beam at truck, while Pete dives out just as the truck is hit.*

*They smile*

Ian: He's gone, not let's get back inside, Kent has already arrived.

*Clark sneaks in and sees Eric with the green k, so he decides to trick him.*

Clark: Hey Eric, i'm going stop you and your friends.

Eric: Yeah right.

*Shows him the green k and Clark pretends to get sick.*

Clark: awwww, put it down, you dont have to do this.

Eric: AHAHAHa, you're pathetic.

*Eric Tunrs around*

Eric: Hey guys....

*Clark gets up and nails Eric in the back of the head.*

Clark: Hey Bart, i got you.

*He unties Bart*

Bart: Thanks Clark.

*Then the four enter*

Ian: Let's get them.

*Both Ian's surround Clark, as the flash goes after the rest with his speed.*

*Ian picks up the green k and shows it to Clark.*

Clark: Sorry it won't work this time.

*Then the other Ian hits Clark from behind and he goes down.*

Ian2: What, i didn't use the green k and he went down.

*Throws the green k away and they both hit Clark.*

Ian: I wonder what happen to him.

Ian2: I guess he's human after all.

*As they both hit Clark, the flash comes in and nails them both, but as he's helping Clark, a green Beam hits him sending flying and hurt badly.*

Kryptonian: As for Kal-El.

*Nails Clark with his Beam and Clark lays there motionless, bleeding.*

Ian: Nice job, they're done and no longer a problem. Let's go.

*They Leave and then a little red car drives in.*

Chloe: Ah, i miss the torch, think i'll sneak in and visit.

*She see's Clark and Bart lying motionless on the ground bleeding.*

Chloe: Oh my God.

*Calls the 911, they both are hurt very badly, along with Pete.*

*2 hours later at Smaville Medical Center, Clark's room.*

Martha: He's stiring.

*Clark gets up*

Jonathon: Son, how do you feel?

Clark: Horrible.

Jonathon: You almost died, i knew we shouldn't have let you go.

Clark: How'd i get here?

Jonathon: Chloe found you guys.

Clark: Oh.

*Lana walks in with tears in her eyes.*

Lana: Clark, you're awake, i was so worried.

*She hugs and kisses him.*

Clark: I made a promise didn't I.

Lana: You did.

Clark: How are Pete and Bart.

Martha: Not good, Bart has broken leg and Pete is Critical, they rushed him in for surgery an hour ago.

Clark: No, this can't be, what was i thinking.

Lana: It was your fault.

Clark: If i didn't call him, he wouldn't be hurt.

Jonathon: Don't do that to yourself son.

Clark: I already have.

Martha: We still have a problem, those guys are still on the loose. We can't stop them.

*Lana thought to herself there's only one way.*

Lana: Clark, you need to get your powers back.

Clark: But Lana.....

Lana: It's okay Clark, i love you either way.

Clark: I love you too.

*Chloe walks in upset.*

Martha; Chloe what's wrong?

Chloe: Ummmm, the surgery isn't going well, Pete might not make it.

Clark: NO, this can't happen.

*Lana holds Clark's hand.*

Lana: He'll make it.

*Martha puts her arm around Chloe.*

Martha: He'll make it.

*Smallville Medical Center, Clark's room.*

Lana: Clark, what are you doing.

Clark: Getting out of this bed and being there for my friend.

Lana: You can't help Pete now.

Clark: But i have to be there, i can't stay in this bed anymore.

Lana: Let me help you.

*Clark is helped up by Lana.*

Clark: Let's go.

*They met his parents, chloe and the Ross parents in the waiting room.*

Chloe: They said they're losing him.

*Chloe had tears in her eyes as Lana grabbed her hand.*

Lana: It will be okay.

Clark: I am so sorry Mr. and Mrs. Ross this is all my fault.

Mrs. Ross: Clark, you were his best friend in the whole world, it wasn't you fault.

Clark: I wish i could believe that.

*A doctor comes into the waiting room looking for Mr. and Mrs. Ross.*

Doctor: Mr. and Mrs. Ross i have some news concerning your son.

Mr. and Mrs. Ross: What is it?

Doctor: Ah, i'm sorry, we lost him.

Mrs. Ross: NO, NO, my baby is gone.

*Mr. Ross grab her before she fell as everyone in the room began to cry. As Clark ran out of the hospital.*

Lana: CLARK.

*It was like time stopped for Clark as he just lost his best friend, he didn't care if he had superspeed he ran as fast as he could home.*

*As Lana was running after, Jonathon grabbed her arm.*

Jonathon: Let him go for now, he needs time.

*Clark finally made it to his loft in a sweat and was tired, but none of that seemed to matter. He grabbed the key and went to the caves without even thinking.*

*Arrives at the cave in his truck and puts the key into the slot.*

Clark: SPEAK TO ME.

Jor-el: Yes my son, i told you there would be consequences for your actions.

Clark: I SWEAR, IF YOU KNEW OR DID SOMETHING...

Jor-el: I said there would be consequences and you choose your path.

Clark: I want my powers back.

Jor-el: Then you know what you must do, forfill your destiny and leave smallville.

Clark: ok.

*A light fills up Clark as he can fill his powers growing back within him. As light fills in the cave up, altogether.*

*After the light is gone, Clark superspeeds back to his loft.*

Clark: How i can leave? How can i leave her like this?

*Trying to convince himself.*

Clark: I have to, even I can't protect her. She and everyone else is safer without me. If i can't do this as Clark, i can do it as Kal.

*Clark looks around, knowing he kept red k here some where. Looks in a box and finds a red k ring. He puts it on.*

*Scene shifts to Smallville Medical Center.*

Lana: Where do you think he can be?

Chloe: Probably in his loft.

*As Chloe tries to stiffle her tears.*

Lana: I'm worried.

Chloe: So am I, this is the kind of moment where Clark pulls away from us.

Lana: I know.

*Scene shifts to Metropolis*

Lex: Here's your training ground.

Ian: Never been to Metropolis.

Lex: Have fun.

Kryptonian: Yes, fun.

*Kal Brings out the morocycle.*

*Lois's car drives up before he can leave.*

Lois: Going some where Smallville?

Kal: Get out of my way.

Lois: Wow, why so touchy?

Lois: What's going on?

Kal: I'm leaving.

Lois: It's because of what happen with Pete?

Kal: No, it's because i'm tired of Smallville and all the people in it.

Lois: You don't mean that.

Kal: Yes i do, they're all weak.

*Lois grabs his arm and he grins.*

Kal: Maybe some more than others.

Lois: Listen to me Clark, you can't leave, because of what happen, they need you.

Kal: Well, i don't need them.

Lois: What's your problem?

Kal: RIght now? It's you.

*Gets on his bike.*

Lois: What about her?

*Even with red k on, Clark still couldn't hide the way he felt about Lana.*

Kal: What about her?

Lois: You can't just leave her.

Kal: It's for her own good.

Lois: How can you say that?

Kal: Because it's true.

*A tear comes down from Clark's eyes, he puts on his shades.*

Lois: You care about her too much to do this.

*He didn't answer.*

Lois: You know it's ture.

Kal: Goodbye Lois.

*He would ride away as a confused Lois looked at him just as she had looked at Smallville after the meteor shower hit.*

Lois: I better stay here until the Kents come back.

*1 hour away later.... The Kents arrived with Chloe.*

Jonathon: Hey Lois, where's Clark.

Lois: Hey left.

Martha; WHAT, where'd he go?

Lois: Don't know, he left, on a...get this, a motorcycle.

Chloe: Oh no, not again.

Lois: What do you mean?

Chloe: He left before, 3 years ago, when Mrs. Kent lost her baby.

Lois: Oh, i'm sorry Mrs. Kent.

Martha: So was I, i lost to sons that day.

Chloe: What are we going to do?

Jonathon: Nothing we can do, he's a man now, we can't just drag him home.

Martha: Oh Clark.

*She sinks into Jonathon's arms.*

Chloe: Someone has to tell Lana.

*They look at Chloe.*

Chloe: Ok, i'll volunteer, i guess. Don't know how i can break it to her, just so many bad things happening at once.

Martha: Be strong Chloe and remember Pete's funeral is tomorrow.

Chloe: Ok, bye.

*Chloe leaves.*

*Lana arrives at her apartment to see Clark seating on her couch. He didn't have the ring on his finger.*

Lana: Clark, I was so worried,

*They kiss and hug.*

Clark: I'm fine.

Lana: Can't believe Pete's gone.

Clark: Me neither.

*Clark's head is down, with a very depressed look on his face.*

Lana: Is there something else?

Clark: Yeah, i just came to tell you, that no matter what happens i'll always love you, I promise.

*She smiles.*

Lana: What's going on?

Clark: Goodbye Lana.

*He kisses her.*

Lana: Goodbye?

*Clark superspeeds out the door.*

Lana: CLARK, CLARK.

*He puts on the red k ring and gets on his motorcycle, driving away.*

Lana: No.

*Lana falls to the ground.*

Chloe: Lana, what happen?

*She couldn't speak.*

Chloe: Clark came by, didn't he?

*She nodded her head.*

Chloe: Not only have we lost one friend, but two in the same day.

*They hold each other.*

*The next day in Metropolis, Kal wakes up his new apartment.*

Kal: Nothing like Metropolis and all the cool stuff i can get.

*Kal had a new apartment since the last time he was there. He had none they could have found him if he didn't so he took precautions. It was an expensive apartment, but not for Kal after he pays a visit to a couple ATMs.*

Kal: I think i'll taKe a walk around town.

*Gets out of his bed, gets dressed and walks of his apartment. As he walks he sees a familar person, Eric summers talking to someone on his cell.*

Kal: Well, let me hear what he's up to.

*Uses his super hearing.*

Eric: So tonight at 8?

Person on cell(appears to be Ian): We'll meet at the Metropolis city bank.

Eric: Ok, see ya then.

*The hang up and then Kal superspeeds toward Eric.*

Eric: Cl.. CLark.

Kal: No it's Kal, Clark actually shows mercy, i don't.

*Kal throws Eric hards into a jelwery store window, as Eric bleeds severly, the police arrive.*

Kal: My job is done here.

*He superspeeds away.*

*Scene shifts to Pete's funeral in Smallville, on a rainy day. Everyone is there, except for Clark, since Clark wasn't there Chloe gave a little speech on Pete*

Chloe: Pete was not an ordinary person, he was special. He was the kind of guy who you could count on, when you needed him the most.

*She begins to tear up.*

Chloe: I knew him ever since 8th grade, when i moved her from Metropolis. He and Clark were my two best friends, i always could talk to Pete, when i could talk to no one else. I loved Pete like my brother and he will be missed by all.

*As Chloe finishes speaking, a shadow behind a tree can be seen. It's Clark without his red k ring.*

Lana to the Kents: I wish Clark was here.

Kents to Lana: We do too.

*Clark whispers.*

Clark: I am.

*Lana turns around toward the tree. But no one was there.*

Lana to herself: Where are you Clark?

*Later that night at Metropolis city bank.*

Ian: Where the hell is Eric?

Seth: Haven't seen him.

Justin: We don't need him, not like he does anything.

*They laugh.*

Ian: You're right, Kryptonian, give us an entrance to the bank.

Kryptonian: Sure thing.

*He sends a Beam right through the bank. Giving them a big entrance way, but there's Kal staring them in the face.*

Kal: Hey guys.

*Pulls a pole out of the ground and hits the kryptonian, sneding him flying through a building.*

Ian: Not good.

Kal: Right about that.

*Grabs Ian and Seth throws them right into the bank vault.*

Justin: Alright Clark, take this.

*Justin use his mind to send a car right at Kal, but Kal catches it and throws it right on Justin.*

Kal: Weak pathetic freaks.

Kryptonian: Not me.

*Tries to hit Kal with his beam, but Kal is too fast. Kal uses his eyes to burn a hole through Kryptonian's arms.*

Kryptonain: AHHH.

*Kal Smiles and throws the kryptonian into a car rendering him helpless.*

Kal: Don't mess with Kal.

*The police once again arrives.*

Police officer: Looks like these guys tried to rob the bank, arrest them.

*As Kal's superspeeding away.*

Kal: I think i've earned myself some fun.

*Scene Shifts to Lana's house.*

Chloe: How are you doing?

*Lana doesn't respond.*

Chloe: Yeah, me too.

*Lana starts to pack her clothes.*

Chloe: Going some where?

Lana: Metropolis.

Chloe: You don't even know he's there.

Lana: Call it a hunch.

Chloe: Lana, he's probably not himself.

Lana: What do you mean?

Chloe: When Clark is on red k, it makes him different.

Lana: Red k?

Chloe: Red kryptonite, our class rings have them. Whenever he puts it on him, he turns into kind of an alternate Clark.

Lana: Well, that explains a lot. I still have to go, red k or not, Clark is still in there.

Chloe: I'm coming with you.

Lana: Chloe I.....

Chloe: I'm not letting you go alone.

Lana: Alright, we'll leave tomorrow morning.

*After Kal had taken care of business, he decided to go to his old hangout, club Atlantis. As soon as he arrived he was welcomed in.*

Guard: Hey Kal, come right in.

Kal: Ah, it's good to be back.

*He walks through the crowd and is thirsty.*

Kal: Give me the usually.

Bartender: Sure thing Kal. Been a while?

Kal: Too long since i've been here.

Bartender: Did you go back home.

Kal: Yeah.

Bartedner: What brings you back?

Kal: Same old thing.

Bartender: I thought so.

*A hott girl approaches Kal.*

Girl: Want to dance Kal? I heard you were the man around here.*

Kal: Sure.

*The Bartender grins.*

Girl: So what brings you here?

Kal: Trying to get away from my old life.

*She kisses him, he lightly embraces her.*

Girl: They were right Kal.

*As they dance, Lex arrives on his cell.*

Lex: What happen?

Person on cell: He was too strong, we weren't ready.

Lex: Too bad, i told you not to disappoint me again, have fun in prison.

*Lex notices Clark with that girl. He approaches.*

Lex: Well, this isn't Lana.

Girl: Who's Lana?

Kal: Get lost girl.

*She storms off.*

Lex: What's going on?

Kal: Nothing, just dancing.

Lex: Didn't look like that to me.

Kal: Yeah, well i don't remember asking you.

Lex: Don't hurt her.

Kal: Why do you care so much Lex?

*Kal stares Lex down.*

Lex: She's my friend.

Kal: Ha, we both know you think of her as more than that.

Lex: I don't....

Kal: Who are you trying to fool? I know you do, why do you think you got Jason fired?

Lex: He wasn't right for her.

Kal: But you are? Please, we know what Lex does to the people he loves, especially the women he loves.

Lex: She's different than all of them.

Kal: Yeah right, i warn you, go near her again and you're a dead man.

Lex: Is that a threat?

*Grabs Lex him by the throat.*

Kal: You bet it is.

*Kal Leaves as Lex is shocked.*

*The Next morning, Chloe and Lana leave for metropolis, Chloe's driving.*

Lana: This my fault as much as he thinks it's his.

Chloe: Why do you say that?

Lana: He lost his power, because he thought i wouldn't be with him, if he didn't.

Chloe: No, it's no one's fault except for the people who did it.

*Lana can't help but think it is.*

Chloe: I can't believe we have to keep going through this, why can't we have normal lives?

Lana: Because we're not normal.

*Chloe Smiles.*

Lana: I remember when he left last time.

*Flashback.*

Lana: Clark, where are you going?

Clark: Away from here.

Lana: The Clark Kent i know wouldn't run away from his problems.

Clark: The Clark Kent you know is a lie.

*Grabs him by the shoulder. Puts her hand on his cheek.*

Lana: Your parents need you, i need you. I love you Clark.

*Her starts to cry.*

*They take lex's car to his penhouse.*

*Scene shifts to Kal's place, where he's sleeping.*

Jor-el: You must give them up Kal-el.

Clark: Never.

Jor-el: Then all the ones you love will be hurt.

Clark: If you hurt them....

Jor-el: It is you that has hurt them.

Clark: No.

Jor-el: If it wasn't for you, Pete would be alive, the Kents wouldn't have been hit by meteors twice, Lana's parents would still be alive.

Clark: It wasn't my fault.

*Clark falls to his knews.*

Clark: NOOO.

*Clark wakes up.*

Clark: I can't even take this off while i sleep.

*Puts on the red k ring.*

*Scene shifts to Lex's penhouse.*

Lana: What are we going to do?

Lex: We probably should go to Atlantis tonight, that's where he goes.

Lana: Fine, we'll leave at 8.

Chloe: Cool with me.

*Later that night at 8, they arrive at Atlantis.*

Chloe: Wow, front of the line.

Lana: I wouldn't expect anything less from Mr. Luthur.

*They laugh.*

Chloe: Do you see him?

*Kal is dancing with another girl on the dance floor.*

Lex: There he is.

*Lana goes up to Kal and the girl.*

Lana: May i cut in.

Kal to Girl: Get lost.

Lana: Where have you been?

Kal: Right here.

Lana: Come home with us.

*Kal sees Chloe and Lex.*

Kal to Lex: I thought i told you to never go near her again.

*Grabs Lex by the throat.*

Lex: It's not like that, Clark.

Lana: Clark let him go, he's trying to help.

Kal: Yeah right.

Chloe: It's true Clark.

Kal: Lex only cares about Lex, i'm surprised no one was figured that out yet.

Lana: LET HIM GO, please.

Kal: Fine, if you want him you can have him. I'm out of here.

*Throws Lex and then leaves.*

Lana: Clark.

*She follows him, but he superspeeds away.*

*Scene shifts to Kal's place. Kal takes off the red k ring.*

Clark: What have i done? She must think i'm a monster. Just another time where i've let her down and pushed her away when i need her the most. Like the time we broke up 2 years ago.

*Flashback.*

*Lana riding on her horse.*

Lana: I'm glad your parents are getting a second chance.

Clark: Yeah, i'm going to earn every cent of my allowence this year.

Lana: So you're staying?

Clark: I think i want to put all the stuff that happened in Metropolis behind me.

Lana: Probably be a good idea if we put a lot of things behind us.

Clark: Just thinking that too.

Lana: Clark, i know there are things you try to protect me from, but you don't have to protect me anymore. Whatever it is, i can handle. I really want to know you."

*Grabs his hands, but he slips her grip.*

Clark: Umm, Lana, the way you looked at me in Metropolis, you were disgusted.

Lana: No, i was confused. You can't blame me for that.

Clark: I don't blame you, i can't stand for to ever look at me that way again.

Lana: You werent yourself.

Clark: Yes i was, i choose to let that part of me out. It will always be there, trust me, you don't want to know me the way you think you do.

Lana: Clark, that's my decision to make.

Clark: Lana, i'm sorry. I wanted this so much, all last year i tried so hard to be the right guy for you...But i'm not, this will never work.

*Lana gets on her horse.*

Lana: Clark, you never had to try.

*She rides away as Clark looks at the ground in disgust.*

Clark: I wanted to be with her bad, but i thought i had to let her go. I knew how much she was hurt and so was I, now it might happen again.

Lois: A friend of mine saw you and called me.

*All of a sudden Kal struggles as his left hand reached to his right where the ring was and took it off.*

*He picked her up in the air and hugged her.*

Clark: But it's too dangerous for you to be around me, we have to break up.

*The words hit Lana hard, even if she knew it was for her safety.*

Clark: We have to, i would lose it if anything happened to you. I can't save you all the time, i can't be there every second.

Lana: I don't care Clark, you've saved me so many times, that this time i'm going to save you from yourself.

Clark: Wow, that was hard.

Lana: You didn't think it would be easy, did you?

Lana: It's still going to be hard to leave, i remember growing up here, meeting this incredible guy and then i meet you Clark.

*She giggles.*

Clark: Very funny.

Lana: We've been through so much, i mean just last year it seemed as if we'd never be together again.

Clark: That was the worst time of my life, we were so far away. I thought I had lost you forever.

Lana: You never lost me, even when i didn't i want too, i still loved you.

Clark: Same here, i tried pushing you away 2 years ago, because i thought it was too dangerous for you to be with me. I spent 2 years with a broken heart.

Lana: I'm sorry and glad we made it through those tough times.

Clark: So am I.

*They kiss.*

Clark: You know, i have something to tell you.

Lana: What is it?

Clark: I remember when i was 5 years old walking home with my mom from doing chorses. Then all of a sudden i saw this little girl sitting on her front steps. I asked my mom who that was and she said Lana Lang our neighbor. And i remember thinking to my self, i'm in love. Then 9 years later, something great happened, we became friends. All through that year i had to hold back my feelings for you, not wanting to be a bad guy and interfer in your relationship. A year later when Whitney left, i knew this was my chance, but i could never ask you out. Even when i did, it would get messed up. Until one night, where you came to my loft with a birthday cake and we finally kissed for real. It was the best time of my life, we had finally came together after Lex's rehersel reception. Then something horrible happen, i left you, because i thought it was for the best. Little did i know, that was just the beginning of the bad things that would happen. It seemed from that moment on, we could never get back to each other. Then a year ago, something great happened. We got to dance together at our senior prom, like i had always dreamed. At that moment i knew there was no one else for me in the world and even when i lost my memory i didn't stop loving you. Like you said "Some people are just meant to be together."

*Lana is in tears.*

Lana: I have something to tell you. These 5 years in life, have been some of the worst days of my life. Nell left, whitney died, i had some bad boyfriends and i almost died more times than i care to say. The only thing that ever kept me going was you. I thought as long as i had Clark i would be okay, as long as he was here i'd be safe. When you left three years ago, it was like there was a hole in my heart. No matter what i could do, i could never fill it. I tried Paris, i tried the Talon, i tried all these guys, but nothing could ever fill it. The day of prom, i didn't know if i should go or not. I thought i'm with jason, i can't go dance with him, i don't even know if he'll dance with me. Then, despite of all my fears, i showed up and there you were. You asked me to dance and we did. That whole time i was in your arms, for the first time in 3 years my heart was full again. It was then i knew, i am in love with Clark Kent, nothing will ever change that and it hasn't.

*They hug, both in tears.*





Now i can come with one more chapter, it will be the last. Unless you want me to extend it, which i could. I will make a new story if you dont want it extended or i'll continue with this one.

Don't know, i've had ideas. Like having two different worlds, lana's in each world would switch worlds. I thought about changing some smallville history in a lana and clark event. I thought about writing a story on clark's secret, how they deal with it. I don't know, waiting for an idea to stick, where i have a complete direction with plenty of outs. This story may be the best of all i write.

Martha: I can't believe how fast you grew up.

Martha: It seems like yesterday you were learning about your powers.

Jonathon: Or you were learning how to control heat vision.

Clark: Those were scary times.

Jonathon: We got through them together.

Martha; And now you're leaving, all grown up.

*She begins to tear up.*

Clark: It's okay mom, i'll still call every week.

Martha: I'm going to miss you.

Clark: I'm going to miss both of you. I couldn't have wished for two better parents to find me than you guys.

Martha: We love you Clark.

Clark: I love you too.

*They hug.*

Martha: Oh before i forget, he ya go?

Clark: What's this?

Martha: Your old glasses, they may come in handy.

Clark: Thanks mom.

Jonathon: Never forget where you came from son and remember we're always here.

Lex: This isn't over, not by a long shoot.

*Before Lex leaves he rolls down his windows.*

Lana: Well, that wasn't the way i wanted to leave Smallville.

Clark: So are ready?

Lana: Yeah, let's go.

*They get into the truck and drive away. Looking back at the home they're leaving behind and the journey they're about to begin.*

*1 Month Later.*

*Clark and Lana's House.*

Clark: Hey sleepy head, wake up.

*She doesn't move.*

Clark: Come on Lana, wake up.

*Still doesn't move.*

Clark: Maybe this will work.

*Kisses her on the lips and she kisses him back.*

Lana: Hey, that's what a call a morning wake up.

ClarK: Thought you would like it.

Lana: What's going on?

Clark: I made you breakfast.

Lana: What's the occasion?

Clark: Just the usually I love you day.

Lana: Oh, i like those days.

*They kiss.*

Clark: Actually, it's because with me being superman and working at the Planet. Plus you working as a teacher, i never see as much of you as I want.

Lana: I've missed you too, but no one said it was going to be easy.

Clark: I know, but it's far harder on you.

*Clark drops his head.*

Lana: It's worth it.

Clark: Are you sure?

Lana: Off course I am, Clark, i knew this would be tough. I also knew that as long as I have you and know you'll always come back to me, i can handle it.

*Now Clark could be himself at home, but when he went to work he had to act like, well, a nerd. He had the glasses and the suit to prove it. Clark landed a job in the Daily Planet, thanks to the favor Perry White owed him, plus a glowing recommendation from a friend.*

Clark: Sorry Boss.

Perry White: Good thing you can write.

*He sits down at his desk, next to his best friend and partner.*

Clark: Hey Chloe.

Chloe: Hi Clark, how's Lana?

Clark: Fine, how's things with you?

Chloe: Good, i actually met a new guy.

Clark: What's his name?

Chloe: Bruce Wayne.

Clark: Who's that?

Chloe: Just a billionare from Gotham City.

Chloe: So, how's your other job?

Clark: Good, no real threats yet, just the usually robbers.

*Speaking in a low voice.*

*Scene Shifts to Luthur Corp.*

Lex: Ah, nothing like a beautiful Metropolis day.

Secretary: Sure isn't Mr. Luthur.

Lex: Who was talking to you? It's never a beautiful day, when superman is roaming around my city.

Lex: What time is Mr. Wayne suppose to arrive?

Secretary: Around 7:00pm tonight.

Lex: Excellent, i would like to make Mr. Wayne my partner and together we can control Metropolis, maybe the world.

Lex: Glad you could make it Mr. Wayne.

Bruce: It's Bruce and i was intrigued by your idea.

Lex: Thank you.

Bruce: And i assume you want to be partners?

Lex: Yes, two of the richest people in the world, would make a powerful team.

Bruce: Indeed they would, but your idea is a little dangerous, don't you think.

Lex: There are always risk when dealing with meteor rocks.

Bruce: I understand, but i don't want this blowing up in our faces.

Lex: Don't worry, it's under control.

Bruce: I hope so.

*Bruce gets a call, there's an emergency, some people are robbing a bank,*

Bruce: I have to go.

Lex: Alright, we'll talk later.

*Bruce leaves, moments later at the bank.*

Robber #1: Let's get of here, before the superman comes.

Robber #2: What the hell is that.

*A man in a bat suit appears.*

Batman: It's a bat.

Robber #1: Shoot him.

*Batman knocks the gun out there hands and knocks both man out. Superman superspeeds there.*

Superman: Wow, looks like i was a little late.

*See's batman.*

Superman: Who are you?

Batman: A hero, just like you.

*Batman goes off into the night.*

Superman: Hey wait....

*Batman disappears.*

Superman: Well, i wouldn't mind getting help.

*Superspeeds home, where Chloe and Lana are talking.*

Lana: Hey honey.

*They kiss.*

Clark: What's going on?

Lana: Chloe and her new boyfriend our meeting us here to talk?

Chloe: He should be here any minute, he had a meeting with Lex.

Clark: I already don't like him.

Chloe: Come on Clark, he's one of the good guys, i promise.

Clark: I hope so and i better change before he gets here.

*Clark superspeeds into his suit, changes his hair and puts on his glasses as Bruce Arrives.*

Bruce: Hello everyone.

Lana and Clark: Hi.

Bruce: Nice to meet you both, Chloe has told me a lot about you two.

Clark: That's what we were afraid of.

Lana: CLARK.

*They laugh.*

Clark: We heard you had a meeting with Lex Luthur.

Bruce: I did.

Clark: I'm not sure you know who you're dealing with.

Bruce: Don't Clark, i do and i always take precautions.

Clark: Be careful.

Bruce: I always am.

*They both stared each down, noticing there was something about them, but before anything could be said Chloe interupted.*

Chloe: So Bruce, how long are you going to be in?

Bruce: As long as I can, i'm trying to get a place down here to be closer to a special someone.

*Bruce puts his hand on Chloe's.*

Lana: How did you two meet?

Chloe: We met, about a couple weeks ago, when Bruce came down here for business.

Bruce: That's right and Chloe had to interview me. We just hit it off.

Lana: That's sweet.

Bruce: How about you and Clark?

Lana: Well, we've known each other our whole life, we lived in Smallville as neighbors and loved each other almost our whole life.

*Clark puts his arm around Lana and kisses her head.*

Chloe: Some people are just meant to be with each other.

Bruce: I hope we can say that about us some day.

Chloe: Me too.

*They kiss.*

Bruce: It's getting late, we better go Chloe.

Chloe: Alright, bye guys.

Lana and Clark: Bye, nice meeting you Bruce.

Bruce: Nice meeting you guys too.

*They leave.*

Lana: Clark, it seems as if you don't like him.

*They kiss and get ready for work.*

*Scene shifts to the Daily Planet.*

Chloe: Hey Clark, did you hear?

Chloe: There's another hero in Metropolis?

Chloe: They call him batman.

Chloe: Yeah, they robbers said they were attacked by a guy in a bat suit.

Clark: I got there after he was done and he told me he was a hero, just like me.

Clark: I have my doubts, no one is always what they seem.

Clark: Yeah, i'm happy for Chloe and Bruce.

*Just then, the lights go out in the mansion as 5 armed men come in with guns.*

Lana: Clark, what's going on?

Clark: I don't know, stay close to me.

*Pulls Lana in close.*

Robber #1: Where's superman? If we can't find superman we'll start killing people. Starting with her.

*The robber grabs Lana away from Clark.*

Clark: LET HER GO!

Robber #2: Careful hero.

*The robber points the gun at Clark. He steps away, so not to give away his identity.*

Chloe: Don't worry Clark i'll distract them.

*Chloe gets up on a table screaming that she knows where superman is and as she does Clark slips away.*

Robber #1: Where is he?

*Chloe Smiles.*

Chloe: Right behind you.

*Superman grabs the gun and breaks it in half, then throws the guy throw the table.*

Superman: Let the lady go.

Robber #2: How about no.

*The robber shoots superman 5 times, but they all bounce off him.*

Superman: Nice try.

*Superman superspeeds to the robber and throws him right into the other 3 robbers. He then runs outside and takes a metal pole tying all the robbers up.*

Superman: Are you okay Miss.

*He picks up Lana and winks at her.*

Lana: Thank you.

*She whispers*

Lana: Meet you at home.

*He nods his head.*

*Superman walks out and see's the bat.*

Superman: What are you doing here?

Batman: Observing my test.

Superman: YOU DID THAT?

Batman: Those men were no danger, i just wanted to see what you were capable of.

Superman: That's not the way to do it.

Batman: Sometimes there is no easy way to do things.

Superman: Did i show you something?

Batman: Yes, you proved to be indistructable and that worries me.

Superman: Why?

Batman: Because what happens the day you go bad?

Superman: That day will never come.

Batman: But if it does, how can i stop you?

Superman: You'll never have to, so don't worry about it.

*Superman superspeeds home.*

*She gives him a kiss.*

Clark: Not about that?

Lana: Then about what?

Clark: Bruce proposing to Chloe.

Lana: I see, you're not happy for them?

Clark: It's not that, it's just.....

*Turns away.*

Lana: What is it Clark?

Clark: Nothing, i've got an early day tomorrow.

*Kiss her on the cheek.*

Clark: Goodnight.

*The truth of the matter was Clark knew he couldn't give Lana what Bruce could give to Chloe. He could never give Lana the ring she deserved. Clark wanted to make Lana is wife and he wanted to do something special for her, but didn't know what.*

*The next morning at Chloe's house, she and Lana are having breakfast.*

Lana: So Chloe, how does it feel be engaged?

Chloe: Good, but i have my doubts.

Lana: Why is that?

Chloe: Bruce has trouble letting people in?

Lana: Sounds familar.

Chloe: Yeah, it does, but these secrets seem darker than Clark's.

Lana: Does he love you?

Chloe: Yeah.

Lana: Then he owes it to you to tell you.

Chloe: You're right, i just don't want to ruin it.

Lana: It will be ruined if he doesn't tell you anyways.

Chloe: I'll talk to him tonight.

Lana: Good.

*Scene shifts to Luthur Corp.*

Scientist: It's ready Mr. Luthur.

Lex: Excellent, I'll inform Mr. Wayne.

Scientist: Are you sure about this? These meteor rocks can be very dangerous.

Lex: Why don't you let me worry about that.

*Scene shifts to Wayne Mansion.*

Alfred: How did everything go last night sir?

Bruce: Excellent, in both regards.

Alfred: Are you sure about marrying her?

Bruce: I am, but i still need to know i can trust her.

Alfred: I'm sure you can, she seems like a very nice woman.

Bruce: I hope so.

Alfred: And what about Mr. Luthur?

Bruce: He informs me that our project is done and ready to go.

Alfred: What do you plan on doing about that?

Bruce: I plan on taking him down as soon as it gets bad, but i'm interested to see if it can help people first.

Alfred: Just be caution.

Bruce: I will.

Alfred: Oh and i checked our cameras during the incident last night and found something interesting.

Bruce: Let me see.

*The Cameras show Clark leaving as seconds later superman appears.*

*Press conference held at Luthur Plaza, where Lex and Bruce are standing on a platform.*

Lex: Welcome ladies and gentlemen as well as members of the media.

*Chloe and Clark roll their eyes, as they were chosen to cover this event.*

Clark: I'd like to go up there and break him in two.

Chloe: Right behind you.

Lex: I have a very announcement to make here today. Wayne enterprises and Luthur Corp have joined together to help Metropolis. We have been working on a project to make electricity cheaper and more plentiful for the community.

Clark: What the hell is he talking?

Chloe: Don't worry, we'll find out.

Bruce: Excuse me Lex, i'll take over from here.

*Chloe smiles as Bruce starts speak.*

Bruce: LuthurCorp has been testing Meteor rocks and has made it possible to use them for electricity. They will now be used as electricity here in Metropolis. I hope this will be the beginning of a very fruitful partnership between LuthurCorp and Wayne enterprises.

Chloe: Oh my God, Clark.

*Clark stares on in shock and then yells out.*

Clark: Isn't that dangerous Mr. Wayne? Haven't you heard of what happen in Smallville with Meteor rocks?

*Clark and Lana's house.*

Lana: Clark, what are we going to do?

Clark: I don't know.

Lana: We have to leave.

Clark: We can't, besides what are people going to think if Clark Kent suddenly leaves and so does superman?

*Puts his hand on her cheek.*

Clark: Everything will be okay, we'll find a way to get through this.

*They hug.*

*Scene shifts to Chloe's house, where Bruce and Chloe are.*

Chloe: Bruce, what's going on?

Bruce: What do you mean?

Chloe: What i mean is how could you have kept this from me?

Bruce: I told you I was working with Lex.

Chloe: Yeah, but you didn't tell me it had to do with meteor rocks.

Bruce: Should I have?

Chloe: Yes, i lived in Smallville remember? Meteor rocks are dangerous and now they're going to be every where in the form of electricity.

Bruce: Chloe if anything bad happens, I will step in and take care of it. Me and Lex have it under control.

Chloe: You can't trust him.

Bruce: I know, don't worry. Now i have some different business to take care of, see you later Mrs. Wayne.

*He smiles.*

Chloe: Ok, but can we talk over dinner tomorrow night?

Bruce: Absolutely.

*Scene shifts to the Clark and Lana's house later that night after Clark just came home from work.*

Lana: Hey honey.

Clark: Hey beautiful.

*They kiss.*

Lana: You seem happier.

Clark: I'm always happy to see you.

Lana: I'm glad.

*They kiss again.*

Clark: Hey, what's that?

Lana: I don't know, i found it on our front door step.

*There's a letter on the table with a big S on the front of it.*

Clark: Hmmmm.

*Clark opens the letter.*

Clark: It says for superman to meet a friend tonight at the top of Daily planet building.

Lana: Sounds dangerous.

Clark: Yeah, but i notice the signature.

*There's a little bat logo at the bottom of the page.*

Clark: I'll be back soon.

Lana: Ok.

*Clark kiss her on the cheek and superspeeds out the door.*

*Scene shifts to the roof of the Daily Planet.*

Batman: I thought you'd never show.

Superman: Is there something you want?

Batman: Not really Clark.

Superman: Excuse me.

Batman: I'm not an idiot, so don't treat me like one.

Superman: What are you talking about?

Batman: At Mr. Wayne's mansion last night when the robbers came, Clark suddenly disappeared and superman suddenly appeared. It's on camera.

Superman: Is it really.......Bruce.

*Batman smiles.*

Batman: Guilty as charged.

Superman: So what do you want?

Batman: Nothing, just to let you know where we stand.

Superman: And where is that?

Batman: I was hoping as friends and hero's, i'm going to protect your secret and i hope you'd do the same.

Superman: I will, but i'm not going to be much of a hero soon.

Batman: Why?

Superman: Meteor rocks hurt me, they're my one weakness and now they're going to be every where. SO if you want to be a friend, stop LuthurCorp from making meteor rocks a form of electricity.

Batman: I'll do what i can.

Assistant: The meteor rocks are ready to be sent out tomorrow.

Lex: Excellent.

Assistant: They should be a big help to Metropolis just like you explained yesterday.

Lex: Yes, but they'll serve more than one purpose.

Assistant: What other purpose could they serve.

*Lex Grins.*

Lex: Well, let's just say a certain Superman, won't be so Super anymore.

*Lex stares out the window in his dark LuthurCorp office and whispers.*

Lex: Goodbye Clark.

*Scene shifts to Clark and Lana's house as Clark comes back from talking to Batman.*

Lana: So what's going on?

Clark: He knows who I am.

Lana: Who knows?

Clark: Batman.

Lana: Bat who?

Clark: He's a hero just like me, except his costume's a lttile better.

Lana: Oh, do you know his identity?

Clark: Ah yeah, but it's best kept a secret now.

Lana: Ok, but you know you can tell me anything, right?

*Puts his arms around her.*

Clark: Off course.

Lana: Good, but how are we going to stop Lex from using green kryponite as electricity?

Clark: I'm hoping Bruce can talk him out of it.

Lana: If he can't?

Clark: I'll have to leave.

Lana: Clark, it's WE.

*Clark smiles.*

Clark: That reminds me, i have a surprise for you later.

Lana: Can't wait, now maybe we should get some sleep.

Clark: Ok.

*Scene shifts to the next day at LuthurCorp as Bruce Wayne enters Lex's office.*

Bruce: Lex we need to talk.

Lex: What about?

Bruce: We can't go through with this.

Lex: And why not?

Bruce: It's too dangerous, people will get hurt.

Lex: Since when did the all mighty Bruce Wayne grow a heart?

Bruce: We're done, you hear me?

*Lex smiles.*

Lex: OH no, we're just getting started.

Bruce: I'll stop you.

Lex: No you won't or all the ones you love will suffer.

*Bruce relives childhood memories of parents dying.*

Person on other end of cell: Yes sir.

Lex: Oh and make sure the meteor rocks are up and running by 1 today.

*Scene shifts to Lana and Clark's house, there's a knock on the door.*

Clark: Who is it?

Bruce: It's Bruce.

Clark: What's up?

Bruce: Lex is going ahead with the project, i fear meteor rocks will all around Smallville by the afternoon today.

Bruce: There's more, i also fear he's going to take Chloe as insurance.

Clark: no....

*Clark superspeeds away to Chloe's apartment. As he arrives the place is a mess with a note left on the table.*

Clark: Dear Bruce, i warned you, didn't I? Now you'll have to pay the price. I also assume that Clark has also read this letter, so i figured i'd say goodbye to him, because at 1 he'll be no more. Signed Lex.

*Clark looks at the clock, it reads 12:30pm and he superspeeds home.*

Clark: Time is running out.

Bruce: Looks like this a job for Batman.

Clark: Let's go.

*Lana hears all this as they leave.*

Lana: Not without me.

*She takes the car keys and runs out the door.*

Chapter 7:

*Metropolis Square, where Lex and his thugs have Chloe, right next to the meteor rock generator.*

Superman: Let her go.

Lex: Nah, i've always enjoyed Miss. Sullivan's company.

Superman: If anything happens to her, you'll regret every being born.

*Lex laughs.*

Lex: In a few moments you'll regret being born and where's your new friend?

Superman: What are you taking about?

Lex: Where's the bat? Come on, you know i always know what's going on.

*Batman appears in back of Lex taking out all his thugs.*

Batman: I'm right here.

Lex: Well done, but not good enough.

*Lex grabs Chloe and puts a gun to her head.*

Lex: Don't move, either of you and move together.

*They move together, but then batman throws down a small dust bomb. Then Superman superspeeds to Lex and picks him up by the throat.*

Superman: It's over Lex.

Lex: Not yet, it's one.

*The generator starts to glow as Superman weakens.*

Lex: Oh what's the matter? Have a tummy ache and don't move batman or you'll lose 2 people.

*Just then Lana comes from around the generator.*

Lana: Hey Lex.

*She kicks him in the gut, then spin kicks him to the floor.*

Batman: Nice job, but i'll take it from here.

*Batman grabs Lex.*

Batman: You're going to jail, but first i'm going to take care of your little project.

*Batman places explosives on the generator.*

Batman: Let's go, everyone get out of here.

*Lana unties Chloe, as they help carry Superman to safety as Batman takes away Lex.*

*Later that night, at Bruce's Mansion, Chloe and Bruce have dinner.*

Bruce: Are you okay?

Chloe: Yeah i'm fine.

Bruce: Are you sure?

Chloe: Umm no, Bruce, i need you to be honest with me.

Bruce: Okay, come with me.

*Bruce brings Chloe to the bat cave.*

Chloe: Wow, you know this might have seemed weird 2 years ago.

Bruce: Yes, I'm batman.

Chloe: I kind of gathered that on by my own observations.

Bruce: I can see, Ummm....Chloe you asked me to be honest right?

Chloe: Yes and you were.

Bruce: Not completely.

Chloe: What do you mean?

Bruce: I think getting married is a mistake.

Chloe: Why?

Bruce: Because this life is too dangerous for you.

Chloe: I can handle it.

*tears coming to Chloe's eyes.*

Bruce: I know, but i don't think i can handle it, if you get killed, because of me. I'm sorry Chloe, i'm leaving tomorrow.

*Chloe turns away.*

Bruce: Goodbye.

*Kisses her on the cheek as he walks out, leaving Chloe there alone crying.*



Now, i know you're all wondering where the clana is, but this part of the story will serve a big purpose in this story, so make sure you stay tune for a very important next chapter.

*Clark and Lana's House the next day, There's a knock on the door.*

Clark: Hello, who is it?

Bruce: It's me.

Clark: Oh hey Bruce, come in.

Bruce: Where's Lana?

Clark: Oh, she's helping Chloe recover.

Bruce: I see.

Clark: How could do that to her? How could you break her heart like that?

Bruce: Clark, two hearts were broke.

Clark: Why'd you do it then?

Bruce: Because I had to, it's my destiny.

Clark: Destinys can be changed.

Bruce: No they can't, not a hero's destiny.

Clark: I don't believe that, I can't.

Bruce: I know how much you loved her as much or maybe more than I loved Chloe.

Clark: If you love her you should be together.

Bruce: A hero's life is a lonely one, full of danger and it's a life I have to accept.

*Clark looks away shaking his head.*

Bruce: Listen Clark, we all have weaknesses and the ones we love are our biggest. They exploit it and sacrificed the ones we love to get to us.

Clark: I wouldn't let that happen.

Bruce: Sometimes it doesn't matter, they find a way.

Clark: They can be stopped.

Bruce: Not all of them and not all the time.

Clark: I'll find a way.

Bruce: I hope you do Clark, we all choose are our paths. I choose mine, the path you choose will be yours.

Clark: Don't you wish you just give it all up?

Bruce: Sometimes, but then i remember all the people i have helped. Hero's sacrifce their happiness for the safety of others.

*Bruce pauses as he sees the painful look on Clark's face.*

Bruce: You choose your own path Clark, remember that. Good luck, i have a feeling we'll meet again.

Clark: I have the same feeling, good luck to you as well.

*They shake hands, then Bruce leaves as Clark goes to his bedroom stand and takes out a black box from where he had hidden it.*

Clark: Love or Destiny?

*Clark flicks the box open and shut about 20 times, repeating the question.*

*Scene shifts to Chloe's apartment, where Lana and Chloe are taking.*

Lana: I feel like i should keep apologizing to you.

*Chloe wipes her nose.*

Chloe: You didn't do anything.

Lana: How could he do that to you?

Chloe: That's the price you pay when you love someone who's trying to save the world.

*Lana had known too well, all those years Clark pushed away.*

Lana: Trust me, i know the feeling.

Chloe: But it's different, he still loves you and you're together now.

Lana: What reason did he give you?

Chloe: He said it was too dangerous, that a hero's life was no place for me.

Lana: Is there anything i can do?

Chloe: No, i just hope it doesn't happen to you.

Lana: It couldn't.

Chloe: Lana, he's superman, everyone will always be after him. Not to mention Lex, there will always be danger involved. He pushed you away before, what's to stop him from doing it again?

Lana: He loves me.

Chloe: And bruce loved me.

*Lana shook her head.*

Lana: No, i don't believe that.

Chloe: Either did I.

Chapter 9:

*Lana is still at Chloe's apartment, when she receives a call.*

Lana: Hello.

Clark: Hey.

Chloe: Who is it?

Lana: It's Clark.

Chloe: Oh....

Lana: What's up?

Clark: We need to talk now?

Lana: About what?

Clark: I'll tell you when we get here, it's very important.

Lana: Ok, be right there.

*She hangs up her cell.*

Lana; Clark wants to talk?

Chloe: About what?

Lana: I don't know, but he said it was very important.

Chloe: Well, you better go.

Lana: Ok, but are you going to be okay?

Chloe: Eventually.

Lana: Alright, bye.

Chloe: Bye.........Oh and good luck.

Lana: Thanks.

*She left and began to drive home. Lana and Clark lived about a half an hour away from Chloe's. But this time Lana's drive seemed like an eternity.*

Lana: No matter what happens, I won't cry. No matter what, this can't happen, not again.

*For Lana, Clark pushing her away had been the theme of thei relationship. She couldn't understand how it could keep happening and as she drove memories filled her head.*

*Flashback.*

Clark: Lana, wait, I can't do this. I can't let you walk out, not again, because this time, it's going to be different.

Lana: This time?

Lana: Clark i need you to know that whatever happens, i'll never forget you.

Clark: Lana you're talking like we're never going to see each other again.

Lana: I love you.

Clark: I love you too.

Lana: I'm not going to let you ride out of life...again.

Clark: Then get on.

*End of flashbacks.*

Lana: No, i will not cry.

*Scene shifts to Clark and Lana's house, where Clark is on the phone with his parents.*

Martha: Are you sure you want to do this?

Clark: I've never been so sure of anything in my life.

Jonathon: Then good luck son.

*Clark sees Lana arrive and get out of her car.*

Clark: Lana just got home.

Martha and Jonathon: Good Luck, bye. We love you.

*He hangs up as Lana comes in through the door.*

*They sit down on their couch.*

Clark: He told me that the live of a hero, like myself is no place innocent people like you. He said that a hero's destiny is to walk alone.

Clark: It means I had to make a choice.

Lana: Why you made it?

*Lana is on the verge of tears.*

Clark: Yes.

Lana: What is it?

*She turns away not wanting to know,*

Clark: Here it is.

*Clark takes a small black box of his pocket, Lana is still turned around.*

Clark: Will you marry me?

*Lana turns very slowly.*

Lana: What?

Clark: I asked you to marry me.

*Lana stands up in complete shock, she's so happy relieved and shocked at the same time, she can't move.*

Clark: Is that a yes?

Lana: YES YES YES, i would love to marry you.

*She jumps into his arms.*

Clark: I was always hoping you did.

Lana: Clark i don't understand, where did this come from?

Clark: I've been thinking about this for a while now. Just never got the courage up to do it.

Lana: Oh my God, i thought you were going to push me away again, because of what happen with Chloe.

*Clark grabs her hands.*

Clark: Lana, i'm never letting you go.

Lana: I have to tell everyone. we have to make wedding arrangements and invitations.

Clark: Slow down Lana, we have plenty of time, but the night isn't over yet.

*He picks her up off her feet and carries her to the window.*

Lana: Clark what are you doing?

Clark: Close your eyes.

*Clark jumps out his window as Lana closes her eyes in fear.*

Clark: Okay, open your eyes.

*They were above Metropolis.*

Lana: How?

Clark: It's my new ability, actually i've had for a while, but never wanted to use it. I can fly.

Clark: Well, i wanted the moment i asked you to marry me to be special. So how is it?

Lana: It's perfect.

*She kisses him.*

Lex: Off course not, i need you to get close to a teacher there.

Lex: Yes, as in a relationship or something to get her or her lover a part.

Stan: What's the woman's name and what's the reason?

Lex: The woman's name is Lana Lang and her lover's name is Clark Kent. They have been together for a year now. Your job is to break them up.

Stan: Why do you want them broken up?

Lex: Over this past year, i have realized something. The thing that makes all great hero's is their heart. The heart of the hero keeps him going, the heart of the hero keeps making him get up every time i hit him and the heart of the hero makes him stronger. Take away the heart of the hero and he is nothing. You won't have to defeat him, because he will already be defeated. It is then i will rip him to pieces and destroy him. Now go do your job.

*Clark and Lana on driving to Metropolis High school.*

Lana: Clark you didn't have to drive me to school.

Clark: I wanted to.

Lana: You could have slept longer.

Clark: Can't a guy spend time with his future wife?

Lana: Off course.

*They kiss.*

Lana: Drop me off here.

Clark: Is that the new guy?

*Stan is there watching them pull in.*

Lana: That's him.

Clark: Looks around our age, maybe a little older.

Lana: It'd be nice to have someone my own age or closer around here. I'm surrounded by middle age or older people.

Clark: That's the way i like.

*He grins.*

Lana: I'm sure.

Clark: Alright, i'll let you take the car and I'll walk back home.

*He winks at her.*

Lana: Bye.

Clark: Bye.

*They kiss as Clark walks away, until he's out of sight and superspeeds home.*

Stan: Miss. Lang, i presume?

Lana: Yep and you must be Mr. Johnson.

Stan: Call me Stan.

Lana: Fine, right this way.

*He follows her into the school.*

Lana: We have 3 floors here, about 6 classrooms on each side of the floors. There's an elavator for teachers and facuilty only.

Stan: I see, who was the guy you were with?

Lana: That's my finacee, Clark Kent.

Stan: Oh, marrying a little young, don't you think?

*She gives him a look and moves on.*

Lana: The Principal's office is on the first floor, guys have a bathroom on the 1st and 3rd floor, girls have it on all floors.

Stan: Still haven't answered my question.

Lana: Ok, might as well get this over with.

*She stops and turns around.*

Lana: Stan, i have loved Clark Kent since I was 14 and now more than ever, there is no other guy for me, but him. There's nothing any guy can offer that he can't or anything that'd I want from anyone but him.

Stan: So, the guys only get bathrooms on two floors?

*Lana smiles with satistfaction knowing she won.*

Lana: Yep.

*The tour ends 10 minutes later as Lana escorts Stan to his classroom.*

Lana: This is your room, 218, if you need anything just ask.

Stan: Wow and here i thought you didn't like me.

Lana: I don't, but it's nice to be polite.

*She smiled as she headed into her classroom.*

Lana: Alright class, take out your english books and let's get started.

Girl in front row: Who's the hot new teacher, Miss. Lang?

Lana: His name is Mr. Johnson.

Girl: Do you like him?

Lana; Not in that way, i have someone in my life.

Girl: Can we meet him one day?

Lana: Off course.

*Scene shifts to Metropolis Maximum Secruity Prison later that night.*

Stan: Lex, she isn't going to go for anything.

Lex: You know that after one day?

Stan: She's too far in love with this guy, i can see it in her eyes.

Lex: Your job isn't to make her love you, it's for you to break them up. One way or another.

Stan: It's not going to happen.

Lex: Then make it happen, otherwise you're going to be sent back to the gutter, where i found you.

Clark: How did everything go today?

Lana: Fine.

Clark: The guy was nice or what?

Lana: He was okay, nothing special.

ClarK: So he didn't try to hit on you?

Lana: No, well a little.

Clark: I guess i'll have to meet this Stan guy.

*She goes to where Clark is sitting and sits on his lap.*

Lana: Now Mr. Kent, we wouldn't be getting jealous would we?

Clark: Never.

Lana: Good.

*She kisses him.*

Clark: Maybe we should have conversations like this more often.

Lana: Maybe......

*She kisses him again.*

Clark: So, what about that other guy I saw checking you out yesterday.

Stan: I just wanted to chat a little, get to know each other.

Stan: Why'd you become a teacher?

Lana: Because I like kids, how about you?

Stan: About the same and plus, my mom was a teacher.

Lana: How nice, have you lived in Metropolis your whole life?

Stan: Pretty much, how about you?

Lana: I lived in Smallville my whole life, until i moved here about 2 months ago.

Stan: Is Smallville where you met Clark?

Lana: Yep and here's why i'm here now.

Stan: Nice to have someone special in your life, isn't it?

Lana: It is, do you have anyone special?

Stan: Not now.

Lana: I'm sure you'll find someone.

Stan: I hope so.

Lana: Well, it's getting close to class time, so see you later. It was nice talking to you.

Clark: What'd you talk about?

Lana: Just teaching and you.

*She smiles.*

Clark: Me?

Lana: That's right, we were talking about the most special person in my life.

*She kisses Clark.*

Lana: We also talked about why we became teachers, he seems like a nice guy.

Clark: That's good, then maybe i should meet him.

Lana: Sounds like a good idea.

Clark: Okay, i'll come during lunch tomorrow.

*The next day at school.*

Stan: So i get to meet the famous Clark Kent today?

Lana: Yep.

Stan: This should be interesting.

*Clark comes in, bringing a piazza for lunch.*

Clark: I grew up in Smallville with Lana, I lived on a farm and when i was nineteen i decided to leave. I wanted to become a journalist and forfill my destiny.

Stan: What is your destiny Clark?

Clark: My destiny is marry the girl of my dreams.

*Places his hand on Lana.*

Clark: My destiny is also to protect people, which i can do through the paper at the Daily Planet.

Stan: Sounds like a good life.

Clark: It is.

Stan: Well, it's getting close to class time. Nice meeting you Clark and i'll see you later Lana.

Clark: Same here.

*They shake hands again.*

Lana: See you later.

*Stan leaves.*

Clark: Seems like an alright guy, but....

Lana: But what?

Clark: I don't know, something seems off.

Lana: Like?

Robber: Give me all your money and your keys.

Lana: Never, get off of me.

Robber: Don't make me ask again.

*Stan comes out from behind his car.*

Stan: You heard the lady, get off of her.

*He grabs the guy and throws him off her.*

Robber: Okay hero, try this.

*He brings out a knife, but Stan kick it out of his hand and knock him down with a punch to the face.*

Stan: Now, get lost.

*The robber runs away.*

Stan: Are you okay?

Lana: I'm fine

Stan: You sure.

Lana: Yes, thank you very much.

Stan: Anytime.

*He begins to walk away.*

Lana: Wait, i'd like you to come over to my house tonight for dinner. I owe you one.

Stan: It's okay, you don't have to.

Lana: I want to, here's my address.

*She hands him her and Clark's address.*

Stan: Ok.

Lana: See you then.

*An hour later, she makes it home.*

Lana: Clark? Are you home.

*She sees a note.*

Clark: Dear Lana, me and Chloe have to make a deadline. So i'm not going to be home for dinner, don't wait for me. By the way, I love you. Love, Clark.

Lana: Working hard, i'll have a surprised for you when you get home.

*She smiles.*

*Scene shifts to Lex's prison.*

Stan: You were right, it worked.

Lex: I knew it would, she's a sucker for a hero.

Stan: It's not like she's in love with me now.

Lex: I know, but you're getting closer. Get ready to make your move.

Stan: Ok, i have to go, i wouldn't want her to have to wait.

*Lana and Clark's house, there's a knock on the door.*

Lana: Come in Stan.

Stan: Hey, i can see you prepare a nice little dinner.

Lana: Yep.

Stan: Where's Clark?

Lana: He had to work late.

Stan: Oh.

Lana: Why don't we sit down and eat.

*They sit down to eat.*

Lana: You know, i consider you a friend now.

Stan; Why?

Lana: Anyone who saves my life i consider a friend. You didn't have to save me.

Stan: Thanks Lana, i appreciate that.

*A half and hour later they finish eating as Clark walks in.*

*He looks at both of them.*

Clark: What's going on here?

Lana: I invited Stan to dinner.

Clark: I can see that, but the question is why you are and didn't tell me.

Stan: I better go, thanks for dinner.

*He rushes out.*

Lana: CLARK! He saved my life today, that's why I invited him here.

Clark: Oh, sorry.

Lana: You should be.

Clark: I think i'll come to your school for lunch again and apology.

Lana: You should and to think I was going to give you a present for working so hard tonight.

Clark: Come on.

Lana: Fine, but no more being jealous.

*For the past week, Stan and Lana have been spending more and more time together. Clark has begun to worry as Lana keeps telling her they're just friends, which was the truth. Lana had no feelings for Stan, she loved Clark very much and only Clark.*

*Clark and Lana's house.*

Lana: Clark, why are being so jealous?

Clark: I'm not, i'm just wondering why you're spending so much time with this guy.

Lana: Because he's my friend.

Clark: But i'm your finacee, it's seems like our time is getting less and less.

*Lana puts her hand on his cheek.*

Lana: Clark, if that's true, just talk to me about. Don't make it about Stan.

Clark: It's hard not to.

Lana: Well, it shouldn't be, since I only love one guy. Lucky for you, I love him a lot.

Clark: It's annoying, i feel like he's stealing you from me and i have a bad feeling about him.

Lana: No one could ever take me from you, but if you keep pushing like this. No one will have take me away, I'll leave. Now I have to go, I love you.

*She kisses him.*

Clark: Bye.

*Clark gets ready for work. The Scene shifts to the Daily Planet, where Clark arrives as Chloe is working.*

Chloe: Hey Clark.

Clark: Hey Chloe.

Chloe: Why so down?

Clark: Me and Lana kind of had a fight this morning.

Chloe: Oh, that's a first. How about?

Clark: Stan.

Chloe: Oh, why?

Clark: He's spending way too much time with her.

Chloe: Is Clark Kent jealous?

Clark: Kind of.

Chloe: I don't see how you could be.

Clark: Why?

Chloe: Because when it comes to you, no one can compete.

Clark: Why do you say that?

Chloe: Clark, you're handsome, smart, strong and a hero.

*She Whispers.*

Chloe: You're superman. Plus Clark, Lana tells me you have more abilities in the bedroom.

*Clark begins to blush.*

Chloe: Now go make it up to her.

Clark: I'll surprise her at lunch.

*Scene shifts to the School, faucilty room, Lunch period.*

Stan: Lana, you look upset.

Lana: Me and Clark had another argument.

Stan: Oh, that's horrible.

Lana: I know.

*Lana stars to tear up a little.*

Lana: I wish i could just get to understand that we're only friends.

Stan: Me too.

Lana: I just don't want to lose him.

*She begins to cry as Stan moves Closer to hurt and puts his arm around her. Just then Clark comes around the corner and sees them, stops, but what he doesn't know is that Stan can see him through a relection on the window.*

Stan: We can't hide our true feelings anymore Lana.

*She looks at him in Shock as he kisses her. As soon as Clark sees this he superspeeds home as Lana Shoves Stan off her.*

Lana: What the hell do you think you're doing?

*She slaps him as hard as she can.*

Stan: My job.

*He smirkes as he walks away.*

Lana: What? I have to go see Clark.

*Scene shifts to Lana and Clark's house later in the day as Clark sat there waiting for Lana to get home.*

Lana: Clark?

*Clark doesn't reply, he just stares at her.*

Lana: Is everything okay?

Clark: No it isn't.

Lana: What's wrong?

Clark: Well, see i talked to this good friend of mine and she told me i should i was wrong to be jealous of Stan. She told me all the reasons why he couldn't compete with me. She said that Lana Lang loved me and only me. So with this in mind i felt like I had to make it up to the girl i love. I went to her school today to surprise her for lunch.

*Lana's eyes begin to widened and water.*

Clark: When i went there, i saw this jerk's arm around her and then i saw him kiss her. At the same moment i felt my heart break and i have lost all feeling.

Lana: Clark, you don't know what you saw.

Clark: So now i'm a liar, WHY DON'T YOU EXPLAIN IT TO ME.

Lana: He put his arm around me, because i was crying over you. Then he forced kissed me and the second he did, i broke it a part, slapping him as hard as I could.

Clark: But it HAPPENED, what did you do to stop?

Lana: How could you think that? How could you think that i would do that?

Clark: Because I saw it with my own eyes. All the time you two spent together, how i could i think any different?

Lana: HOW? Because you know me Clark, i'm only in love with you.

Clark: That's what i thought.

Lana: Ok, if that's the way you feel and if you can't trust me.

*She takes off the engagement ring with tears running down her eyes and places it on the floor.*

Lana: Goodbye.

*Clark stares down at the engagement ring as Lana walks out the door.*

One Year Later

*Daily Planet, an article is seen on a desk. It reads "Where is Superman."*

Lois: Where is he?

Chloe: I don't know.

Lois: How can he leave us like that, what kind of hero is he?

Chloe: Maybe he had a good reason.

Lois: Yeah, i wonder if his was as good as Clarks.

Chloe: I don't know, but i wish i knew where both of them were.

*Puts her arm around Chloe.*

Lois: Clark will be back, i'm sure of it. I mean he's not the kind of guy who can hide forever.

Chloe: I still can't believe what happen. I wish I could have done something.

Lois: You know Chloe, i've thought over and over about what happened. And i think it was planned.

Chloe: What? How'd you come up with that?

Lois: Think about, all of a sudden this guy shows up. No one had heard of him before. He starts to get to close to Lana and as soon as he kissed her, he said his job was done. Then not too long after, he left and is no where to be found. Not to metion i've talked to a couple of my sources and it seems he paid a visit to Mr. Luthur.

Chloe: Wow, you're becoming a better reporter than me and it's only your first week on the job.

Lois: Thanks, so should we share that with Lana?

Chloe: I don't know, not like it would help seeing that Clark is no where to be found.

Lois: You're probably right.

*Metropolis High.*

Boy: Where is he?

Girl: My dad said he went back to his planet or something.

*Kids begin to make a lot of noise over their argument over superman.*

Lana: Children be quiet.

*Still no reaction.*

Lana: BE QUIET!

*They all look up in shock and scared.*

Lana: I don't want to hear anymore about superman.

*Class ends as a girl approaches her desk.*

Girl: Umm Miss. Lang.

Lana: Yes, can i help you.

Girl: Are you okay?

*This takes Lana off guard.*

Lana: Why do you ask?

Girl: Because you use to be my and everyone elses favorite teacher, so nice and kind. What happen?

*Lana didn't know how to respond to that, had she really become this way since what happen.*

Lana: I'm sorry sweetheart, sometimes life is very tough.

Girl: It's okay, just come back to us okay.

Lana: I'll try.

*The girl walks out as Lana sits there wondering what happened.*

*Scene shifts to the FOS.*

Jor-el: You must go back son.

Clark: I can't.

Jor-el: You must not let these humans get to you.

*Clark looks at the ring in his hand, even since Lana had left it on the ground in his apartment it has never left Clark's possession.*

Clark: There's nothing there for me.

Jor-el: Kal-el my son, your destiny is there.

Clark: I won't go back, it's too hard.

Jor-el: You will have to go back, either as Clark or Kal-el. Kal-el will forfill his destiny and not worry about anything else. Is that what you want.

Clark: I guess.

Jor-el: Then so be it.

*Lana's new apartment, she sold the house and She's sitting on her couch where there is a picture of her and clark in metropolis, as Chloe comes by.*

Chloe: Hey Lana.

Lana: Hey Chloe, what's up.

Chloe: Umm, me and Lois have been talking about something that we wanted to share with you.

Lana: What is it?

Chloe: We think that what happen a year ago, happened for a reason. Like it was planned.

Lana: What do you mean?

Chloe: I mean that we think Lex set everything up. Think about it Stan comes during the middle of the school year and leaves the day he kisses you. Not to mention his famous last words, of "My job" referring to what he was doing and Lois found footage of Stan visiting Lex.

*Lana turns away.*

Chloe: This is probably a lot to handle.

Lana: It is, i think i'm going to have to pay our friend Lex a visit.

Chloe: Do you think that's a safe idea?

Lana: Safe for whom?

*Lana gives Chloe a look.*

Chloe: Wow, that's an Isabel look. Just don't do anything stupid.

Lana: Ok.

*Lana goes Lex's Prison, they speak through the phone behind glass.*

Lex: Why hello Lana, sure is brave of you to come here, even behind glass.

Lana: Believe me when i tell you this Lex, the only person this glass is protecting is you.

*He laughs.*

Lana: Did you set up the Stan thing?

Lex: Stan? Who's Stan?

Lex: Well, then i guess you know everything went to plan and i'm getting out of jail soon with no one to stop me.

Lex: Yeah, but with a broken heart, a hero is nothing without his heart. That's what makes all heros great and thanks to you, his has been broken.

Lex: What is it Lana? Not as strong as you thought? You fell right into my trap and did exactly what i thought you would. I broke you two up like you just met a week ago.

*Lex Laughs again.*

Lana: You'll pay for this.

*Lana gets up and leaves angry.*

*Later in the day Chloe is walking down the street when she notices a crowed around what appears to be a naked man.*

Chloe: What's going on?

Man: Some guy is waking around naked.

*The crowd begins to open up and there Chloe see's Clark.*

Chloe: Clark?

Kal-el: I am Kal-el of Krypton.

Chloe: Kal-el? OH your birth name.

Kal-el: I am here to forfill my destiny.

Chloe: Okay, but can you do it with chlothes on?

*He begins to wake away, but she grabs him.*

Chloe: You're coming with me.

*They walk away into Chloe's car, where she drives him to her apartment.*

Chloe: What happen Clark?

Kal-el: I went to see my father and fixed me.

Chloe: Fixed you?

Kal-el: Yes, he erased my memories and told me to forfill my destiny.

Chloe: So, you don't remember anything about your entire life.

Kal-el: No, just why i'm here.

Chloe: Okay, well let's talk and let me get you some clothes to cover little clarkie there. But i must admit Lana's wasn't lying when she told me about that.

*She giggles as she gets him clothes.*

Chapter 19:

Chloe: Here you go big guy.

Kal-el: Thank you.

*She hands him clothes.*

Chloe: So you don't remember anything? Not even your powers.

Kal-el: I know of my powers, but just not the people in my life.

Chloe: Well, maybe i should remind you. Why don't we sit down.

*They sit down.*

Chloe: I'm Chloe, you're best friend. Your parents are Martha and Jonathon Kent, they live in Smallville, we're in Metropolis.

*She then takes out a picture.*

Chloe: This is Lana Lang.

Kal-el: Wait I know that name.

Chloe: You do?

Kal-el: Yes, she's the reason my memory was erased and my father told me to stay away from her.

Chloe: Well, that's not you feel. Let me take her to you.

Kal-el: No, i am here to forfill my destiny. No one may interfer.

*He gets up and walks out, she tries to stop him, but can't.*

Chloe: I need to talk to Lana.

*She goes to Lana's apartment.*

Chloe: Lana!

Lana: Yeah, i'm here, what is it Chloe?

Chloe: I saw Clark, he's back.

Lana: Oh, really....

*She turns away.*

Chloe: But he's not himself, he's Kal-el.

Lana: Kal-el? What do you mean?

Chloe: His dad erased his memory and made him Kal-el. He said that he's here to forfill his destiny. He was at my apartment, but as soon as i mentioned you he left.

*Lana doesn't know what to say.*

Chloe: What are you going to do?

Lana: Maybe it's for the best.

Chloe: What?

Lana: Maybe it's better this way for both of us. He can save the world and not have to worry about anything.

Chloe: How can you say that?

Lana: Because it's true Chloe, i may him leave before and the world paid for it.

Chloe: It wasn't your fault, Lex was the one who planned everything. Don't blame yourself.

*She puts her head down.*

Chloe: He needs you.

Lana: I'm sorry, i can't help.

Chloe: I'm sorry too.

*She walks out as tears flow down Lana's cheeks.*

*Scene shifts to the Metropolis streets, where a man is mugging a woman.*

Woman: Please, someone help me.

Mugger: No one can help you.

Woman: HELP!

*Just then Kal-el comes out of no where and grabs the mugger.*

Kal-el: You must pay for your actions.

*He throws him up against a wall.*

Woman: Thank you.

*Kal-el then grabs the man and breaks his neck. As a crowd of people watch in shock as a man was just killed. Lois see's this.*

Lois: Oh my God, Clark?

*She runs up and pulls him away.*

Lois: Come with me fast, before the police comes.

Kal-el: Who are you?

Lois: A friend, so let's go.

Chapter 20:

*Lois's place.*

Lois: Clark, you just killed a man, i can't believe it.

Kal-el: I remember you, the girl who likes to talk a lot.

*She looks at him like he losted his mind.*

Lois: Off course you remember me, we lived together for almost a year.

Kal-el: I don't have time to talk, i am here to forfill my destiny.

Lois: Right....

*He tries to leave, but she stops him.*

Lois: If you go back out there the police will come after you and you'll go to jail.

Kal-el: No one can stop me.

Lois: I can.

*She gets right in his face, then he picks her up and places her behind him.*

Lois: Or not.....

*He leaves as Lois goes to call Chloe.*

Lois: Chloe, we have a problem.

Chloe: What is it?

*Asking very slowly knowing what the problem is already.*

Lois: Clark has lost his mind and he killed a man.

Chloe: Oh no, i have to call his parents, because they're the only people who know what to do.

Lois: Alright keep me updated.

Chloe: I will.

Lois: And chloe...

Chloe: Yeah.

Lois: Be careful.

Chloe: I will, bye.

Lois: Bye.

*Lois hangs up the phone slowly as Chloe calls the Kents.*

Martha: Hello.

Chloe: Hi Mrs. Kent, it's Chloe.

Martha: Did Clark come back?

Chloe: Yes, well, not exactly.

Martha: Hate to ask, but what do you mean?

Chloe: He says he's Kal-el and he's here to fulfill his destiny. Lois also said he killed a man.

Martha: Not again.

*Flashback*

Martha: Clark!

Clark suddenly hears a high-pitched screeching sound. He reaches for his ears and falls to his knees in pain, grunting.

Clark: Aah!

Martha kneels down next to him, putting her hands on his arms, trying to find out what is happening. The noise stops. Clark turns away from Martha and looks into the sky with an expression of certainty and determination. He rises to his feet. Martha stands up with him and looks into his eyes.

Clark: [Looking at Martha.] I am Kal-El of Krypton. [Raising his eyes to the sky.] It is time to fulfill my destiny.

Martha: [Horrified.] Destiny?! [She shakes him by the shoulders.] That's Jor-El talking! He did this to you! [Martha continues shaking him and starts beating him on the chest desperately.] I want my son back! Give me my son back!

Clark grabs Martha's hands and stops her from hitting him.

Clark: Clark Kent is dead.

*End of Flashback.*

Chloe: This has happened before?

Martha: Yes, it was 2 years ago. Lois found him in a field naked and i saw him the hospital and I reconized him. I tried to make him remember, but he didn't, until I saw hm a picture of Jonathon. He saw Jonathon was dead, then a ringing sound gave him a headache and he told me was Kal-el from Kryton, he was here to fulfill his destiny.

Chloe: How'd you stop him?

Martha: I used black kryponite on him, it split him and Clark up. Clark won the battle and got his body back.

Chloe: Where can I find black kryponite?

Martha: I might still have some, if i find it, i'll come bring it to you.

Chloe: Thanks Mrs. Kent.

Martha: Remember Chloe, he's a dangerous man, don't try to stop him until i get there.

Chloe: Ok.

*They hang up. The Scene shifts to Lana's apartment.*

He needs you Lana.

*Those words echo'ed through her head.*

Lana: I know he needs me, but i don't know if i can be there for him. I mean how am i suppose to forget what happen between us? He didn't trust me, didn't believe me and he walked out of my life for a year. He left a hole in heart, left me crying myself to sleep every night without him.

*A lot of things were racing through her mind at this point, remembering things she told clark.*

I'll never leave.

I don't care Clark, you've saved me so many times, that this time i'm going to save you from yourself.

*Lana puts her head down remembering the words she uttered to Clark not too long ago.*

Lana: I can't go through this.

*She gets up, packs a bag and leaves.*

Chapter 21:

*One day later at Chloe's apartment, Martha arrives.*

Martha: Here you go Chloe.

*She hands her a box with black kryponite in it.*

Chloe: Thanks, how do i use it?

Martha: Just take it out of the box and put it close enough to him.

Chloe: That's it?

Martha: Yep and remember to be careful.

Chloe: I will.

Martha: Alright, i'm going home, but keep me updated.

Chloe: Ok, thank you Mrs. Kent.

Martha: Any time.

*Martha leaves as Chloe forms a plan of action.*

Chloe: How am i going to find him? Maybe i won't have to, maybe he'll come to me.

*She takes the stone and walks out of her apartment.*

*Scene shifts to Kal-el who is flying around Metropolis, when he see's a robbery in progress. He flies down to where the robbery is.*

Kal-el: Stop, before i have to use force human.

Robber: Ha, whatever.

*He pulls out a gun and shoots Kal-el, but the bullets bounce off.*

Robber: Who are you?

*He grabs the man's throat.*

Kal-el: I am your ruler.

*He throws the man as big crowd begins to gather and Chloe see's this.*

Chloe: Hmmm, looks like i've found him.

*She fights through the crowd until she gets to Kal-el.*

Chloe: Hey everyone, this man is dangerous and has a weapon, run.

*They all run away, Chloe didn't want anyone to get hurt or see what's about to happen.*

Chloe: Hey Kal-el.

*He turns to her and as he does she brings out the black kryponite.*

Kal-el: AHHHH.

Chloe: It's working.

*Kal-el splits in two and Clark appears, both of them standing side by side.*

Clark: Chloe?

*Kal-el flies away, Clark doesn't chase.*

Chloe: Clark are you okay?

Clark: Yeah, what happen?

Chloe: I used the black kryponite your mother gave me to separate you two.

Clark: I'm not sure i wanted to be separated.

Chloe: Let's go to my apartment and talk.

*Clark picks up Chloe and they fly to her apartment.*

Clark: Here we are.

Chloe: Thanks, so let's talk.

Clark: I told Jor-el to make me that way, because i didn't want to remember anything that happened to me and Lana.

Chloe: I see, but Clark Kal-el is very dangerous.

Clark: Yeah, I know that now, but still i wish i could just forget everything that's happened in my life recently.

Chloe: Clark, everything happens for a reason. Things happen to teach you something, to test you and make you better.

Clark: What are you saying? That life is telling me that Lana and I aren't meant to be together?

Chloe: No, i'm telling you it happened to test your love for each other and to make it stronger.

*Clark shakes his head.*

Clark: All it did was tear us a part.

Chloe: Then you have to ask yourself one question, how much do you really love her?

*Clark sat there, thinking harder than he ever had before. Not wiling to ask himself this question, which he thought about for the previous year in his FOS. Maybe he was afraid of the answer to the question, but whatever it is, he has to know.*

Chapter 22:

*Chloe's apartment later that day, Chloe was still at work as Clark sat on her couch pondering the question Chloe had asked him and the one he had asked himself for the last year.*

Clark: Do I really love her? Am i afraid to answer this question, because i might not like the answer? I thought i know the answer, then we fell a part and now i don't know if i do.

*Memories flash in his head.*

Jor-el: You are blinded by love.

Clark: How do you know that's why i made my decision?

Jor-el: My son, i know a lot more than you know.

Clark: Then you know how much i love her and what i'm willing to sacrifice for it?

Jor-el: Yes, but your destiny is greater than love.

Clark: Nothing is greater than love.

*Another memory.*

Clark: I was talking to Jor-el, my real father and he said that i had a choice. Either forfill my destiny or be stripped of my powers.

Lana: So you choose to have your powers stripped? Clark did you forget about those four guys who kind of want to kill you, me and everyone else?

Clark: No.

Lana: Then what were you thinking?

Clark: I was thinking about you.

*Lana began to cry, knowing how much he loved her and what he was willing to sacrifice for her*

Lana: I love you Clark. I love you so much.

Clark: I love you too

*End of memories.*

*Clark began to think of how much he was willing to sacrifice for his love.*

Clark: If i loved her that much, how come i just let her walk out the door? How come i couldn't trust her?

*Flashback, One year earlier.*

Clark: Well, see i talked to this good friend of mine and she told me i should i was wrong to be jealous of Stan. She told me all the reasons why he couldn't compete with me. She said that Lana Lang loved me and only me. So with this in mind i felt like I had to make it up to the girl i love. I went to her school today to surprise her for lunch.

*Lana's eyes begin to widened and water.*

Clark: When i went there, i saw this jerk's arm around her and then i saw him kiss her. At the same moment i felt my heart break and i have lost all feeling.

Lana: Clark, you don't know what you saw.

Clark: So now i'm a liar, WHY DON'T YOU EXPLAIN IT TO ME.

Lana: He put his arm around me, because i was crying over you. Then he forced kissed me and the second he did, i broke it a part, slapping him as hard as I could.

Clark: But it HAPPENED, what did you do to stop?

Lana: How could you think that? How could you think that i would do that?

Clark: Because I saw it with my own eyes. All the time you two spent together, how i could i think any different?

Lana: HOW? Because you know me Clark, i'm only in love with you.

Clark: That's what i thought.

Lana: Ok, if that's the way you feel and if you can't trust me.

*She takes off the engagement ring with tears running down her eyes and places it on the floor.*

Lana: Goodbye.

*End of Flashback.*

Clark: How could i let that happen? How could i let her slip away and not even try to stop her? I have to find her.

*He runs out the door to Lana's apartment, where Chloe had told him it was before she left.*

Clark: LANA! LANA!

*He see's a note on the table.*

To Chloe and or Clark,
I'm sorry, but i have to leave. I can't stay here anymore drowning in sorrow and pain. I hope that Clark comes back and becomes the hero he is suppose to be. I wish that i could be there for him, but i know that i can't or that he would want me to be. This is the toughest thing that i've had to do in my life, but i know it's for the best. If Clark is reading this, i want to tell him not to come for me. I wish things could have been different.

*Clark stunk down to floor with the letter in his hand. He knew he was too late and that he had made a hige mistake. Moments latter Chloe enters the apartment.*

Chloe: I thought you'd be here.

*He doesn't even acknowledge her.*

Chloe: I read the letter today too, she's just doing what she thinks is right.

*Clark still unable to answer.*

Chloe: I'd tell you to go get her, but i wouldn't no where to send you. Plus we have bigger problems.

*She turns on the T.V.*

Chloe: Kal-el is on the loose, luckly he's wearing a mask to disguise himself.

*Clark begins to get up.*

Clark: I guess it's time for Superman to return. But first i'll have to go home and get a new suit.

*He superspeeds home and gets his suit, then flies back to Metropolis to fight Kal-el.*

Alright, that was a good insentive. Here goes it.

Chapter 23:

*Metropolis City, Kal-el is holding up an innocent man by the neck.*

Superman: Let him go.

Kal-el: Why should I? He's just a little speck in my way to my destiny.

Superman: I'm not going to ask again.

*Kal-el laughs.*

Kal-el: You think you can stop me? No one can stop me, not even you.

Superman: I can and i will, even if i have to go down with you.

Kal-el: Then let's see what you got.

*They both fly up into the air, as Kal-el grabs a pole, hitting Superman and sending him through a building.*

Kal-el: You're nothing.

*Superman comes right back out, tossing a desk at Kal-el who destroys it with his heat vision before it's even close.*

Kal-el: Is that the best you have?

*They both use their heat vision and it's at a tie as a crowd with news reporters looks on.*

*Scene shifts to the end of the roads of Metropolis, where there 's an SUV pulled over at the side of a sign reading, "You're now exiting Metropolis".*

Lana: Can i really just leave like this? How can i just walk away from him, when he needs me? I don't know if i can forgive for doing this to me again, but i still love him, that can never change. Well some people would leave, i have to turn around.

*She turns around and heads toward the center of Metropolis city, where she hears news reports of Superman and another flying man fighting.*

*Scene shifts back to the center Metroplois city, where Kal-el and Superman are still fighting.*

Kal-el: Give it up, you can't stop me.

Superman: I will stop you.

*Kal-el laughs, as he secretly takes out a green substance behind his back that is covered up and he throws it at Superman as fast he can.*

Superman: AHHHH.

*Superman falls to the ground as he was hit with kryponite and it is stuck his chest.*

Kal-el: Say goodbye, Clark.

*He picks up a fallen Superman tosses him through another wall as Superman lays on the ground helpless with both hands stretched out.*

Superman: I can't beat him.

*Just then, a hand reaches out and is placed on his.*

Lana: You can do it, i believe in you.

Superman: Lana?

Lana: I'm here, you can beat him, do it for love.

Superman: Love?

*Superman, takes the green K out of his chest, in great pain and stumbles to his feet.*

Superman: Hey, you're not done with me yet.

*Kal-el turns around.*

Kal-el: Then maybe i better finish the job.

*He goes to punch Superman, but his fist is caught.*

Superman: I won't let you hurt anyone else.

*He throws into a building, then holds him by the neck, he is unable to get free.*

Superman: Lana throw me the kryponite.

*She throws it to him, still in great pain from it, he musters all his strength and stabs Kal-el through the heart with it. Kal-el's body fills with light, then emplodes into light and he is gone.*

Lana: You know, six years ago that would have seemed weird.

*Lana and Superman run into each other's arms.*

Lana: I'm so glad you're okay.

Superman: I missed you so much.

*He goes into kiss her, but she turns her head.*

Lana: I came to help you, because i knew you needed me, but that's doesn't change what happen between us.

Superman: Lana, you mean everything to me.

*She walks back to her car and then turns around.*

Lana: A year ago, i would have believed that.

*She gets into her car, drives away, leaving a heart broken hero.*
