Return of Eric(super boy season1)

That night there was a loud shattering of glass coming from the Mental Health Intsitution, Also screaming. A dark shadow had just escaped the building and security guards. He ran to a near by seven eleven. Slowly, he pulled the change out of his pocket and debated on weather or not he should make a phonecall. He made his decision and put the change in the slot. He picked up the phone and wearily dialed the number. He breathed heavily as he waited for a response.

(at Eric's old house)

His mother quickly ran to the phone and answered.
"Hello, this is Carol."

There was a shakey voice on the other line. Carol became faint as she recodnised the vioce of this mysterious vioce.

"Eric?" She said wearily.

The vioce spoke, "Mom, I'm coming home." Then there was a silence as he hung up. Carol hung up the phone. She didn't sleep that night. She had her husband's rifel in one hand and the phone in the other.

(the next day at the Kent Farm)

Clark sleepily walked down the steps and into the kitchen.

"Morning mom."
"Morning."She said cheerfully.

Clark looked as if she were hiding something. He didn't know what. He saw her whisper something to his father in the living room. He figured he should mind his own business and not listen in.

(that day at school)P

Pete:"Hey,how's it going?"

Clark:"Okay, I'm just worried about studying for this upcoming social studies test. It counts for like half our grade. Maybe want to study together tonight?"

Pete:(has a strange look on his face)
"Sorry man, I can't. I have to...take care of something."

Clark:"Okay."

(the bell rings for next class)

Pete:"See ya."

(that day at the Kent Farm)

Martha picks up the phone and calls Chloe.
"Hey,Chloe."

"Hi Mrs. Kent."

Do you have any plans for tonight?"

"No, why?"

I'm going to throw a surprise party for Clark. He deserves it after all he's been through.

CHloe thinks about this for a second.'What has Clark been through? He sure hasn't gotten his heart broken.' Chloe thought to herself coldly.

"Chloe?"

"What....Yea Mrs. Kent. I have to go, so I'll talk to you later."

OKay, goodbye. Thankyou."

Next Mrs. Kent would call Lana. 'Clark definently wouyld want her to come.' She thought to herself and smiled.

"Hello,Lana>"

"How are you doing Mrs. Kent?"
Lana was suddenly confused as to why she would call.

"I'm fine. Thankyou. I just wanted to let you know that I'm throwing a surprise party for Clark. I'm sure he would like you to come."

Lana smiled and wondered if he was stillo in love with her.
"Sure, I'll be there."

"Okay, bye Lana."
Martha hung up and was very happy to know that all of Clarks friends were going to be there tonight.

(that night before the party)

Clark was walking into the barn after a long day of work. Then, he decided to call Chloe.'Maybe she can come.' He thought.

(at a place unknown in Smallville)

Eric has just captured a girl his age and has tied her up and put a gag in her mouth. She fought hard,but not hard enough. He threw her against a wall.

"My life here could have been perfect, Holly. If only you would have loved me, everything would be different!"

Holly looked around, very confused. 'Could this be Eric!' She thought to herself.

"I don't know whatb you're talking about! You can't make me love you. The truth is that I hate you so much right now I would....If I were untied....,she mumbled to herself, The truth is that you're....

"Just shut up holly, or I'll blow your head clean off!" Eric screamed.

Holly quickly shut up and looked away from Eric, and the gun.

"You're going to stay here and suffer! Like I did in the institution!"

He slowly walked away leaving Holly in the cold darkness he was once left in.

Lana is closing the Talon and cleans the countertop. Just as she was turning out the light, she fellt someone touch her shoulder tenderly. She instantly jumped and kicked the figure lurking in the darkness.

"Ouch!"

"Clark, Is that you?"

"...Yes"

Lana gasps and flips the light back on. She quickly turns to Clark who has already gotten himself up and is smiling at her.

"I'm so sorry." She said as she ran over to him. "Did I hurt you? If I did I..." She brushed the hair out of his face.

"It's okay. I'm fine." He grabbed her hand and froze. He stood there and took in the moment. Lana was too, he could tell.

"Man, I feel sorry for the next guy who sneaks up on you."

Lana blushed.
"so, is there something you wanted to talk to me about?"

The concerned look on her face made a smile on his.
"I wonder if she does have feelings for me."He thought.

"Yea,everyone's been acting really strange lately. Kinda like they're ignoring me.''

Lana looked around nervously. She knew why.
"That's strange. Anything I can do?"

'Well, there is something.' Clark Thought to himself. Then, he brought himself back to reality. 'Reality Sucks!'

"Nah, I'll be fine. Don't worry about it!"

"Okay. Well, I was wondering if you were doing anything tonight."

Clark was so excited. He knew what those words used together in the same sentence usually meant. He had to stay calm.

"No, I'm not. My chores are done."

Lana stepped closer to Clark.
"Well then, would you like to maybe ,uh, do something tonight?"

Clark stepped closer to Lana.
"You mean like a date?" He didn't mean to sound so stupid.

"Well that's...uh...only if you want it to be...I.."

"Well, ofcourse I want it to be Lana."

Lana's heart fluttered at the thought of her and Clark on a date.

"Okay, I guess I'll see you later, back here at the talon?"

"You bet." Clark said with a smile.

As he was walking out of the Talon, he heard someone speaking to him. He couldn't tell what the voice was saying.

"Did you say something Lana?"

"No. Is something wrong?"

If the voice wasn't Lana,then who was it?
Clark listened more carefully.

Let's see, where was I?

Clark ignored Lana's question and quickly walked outside.
Then, he stopped dead in his tracks. He began to hear the voice again.
"Clark, I really need you to help me."

Clark looked around.
"Holly, is that you? Where are you?"

"I'm in an old warehouse....in Smallville, I think. Eric came back! He's holding me hostage. I really need help! He could come back any minute. He has a gun....be careful."

"Holly? Holly?"

Just then Holly stopped talking to him.
'If she was in a warehouse.....how was she talking to me?'
Clark pondered this for a quick moment, then knew what he had to do. Clark sped off leaving Lana still in the Talon....clueless.

Clark ran to the nearest warehouse and looked around. Then, he came to the door and came to a halt. He became weak and nearly fell to his knees. He backed up and looked within the warehouse. The green metetor rocks were glowing in the darkness. How would he get her out?

"Clark, is that you?" Holly must have heard him approach.

Clark felt bad that he couldn't help her,so he ran away. He couldn't tell her about his secret weakness. Then he remembered how dangerous Eric could be....he knew his secret. He would have to send someone else to save her. He ran home.

(at the Kent Farm)

Martha:"What is it Clark?"

Clark:"I was in the Talon with Lana when I heard Holly trying to speak to me. So, I walked out of the Talon to look for her. I couldn't find her, but she said that Eric is back, and he's captured her in a warehouse. When I went there, there was metetor rocks inside, so I couldn't get in."

Martha:"It sounds like someone else should try to free her. Eric knows your weakness, he can use it against you."

Clark:"That's why I came back here."

Martha:"How did she speak to you, Clark?"

"I don't know mom, but I'm going to find out."

Martha:"Don't worry, you go to bed and I'll take care of it."

Clark:"Thank you."

Martha smiles at her son and calls the police. Without Clark's powers they could take him. She also had to call the party guests and tell them that the party would be canceled.

Martha sneaks downstairs to tell everyone that the party has been moved to tomarrow night.

Johnathon walks down to help her, when Clark wakes up. He walks to the bathroom,but suprisingly, his mom isn't in there.
'She must be downstairs.' He thought.

As he walked down the steps, he heard whispering...then it stopped just as he walked into the kitchen. They both look at him and Clark thinks they look like deer in front of a pair of headlights. He looks around akwardly and sits down.
"What's up?" He asked.

Johnathon and Martha avoid looking at eachother.
"Uh....I...we were just...making breakfast."

Clark: "You're sure?"

Johnathon:"Yes."

Clark:"okay."

Clark looks at the clock and decides to leave. Maybe, for once he can catch the bus.

"I'll see you guys later."

(that day at school)

Lana sees Clark as he walks into school. She's about to go talk to him, but he looks like he's in a hurry. She didn't want to bother him. She watched as he majestically brought his hand through is thick, brown hair. She loved it when he did that, as did many girls who've laid eyes on him. He was gorgeous....and the truth was...that Lana felt like a mere mortal standing beside such a representation of truth, justice, and bravery. Was she worthy of his affection? She would find out.

Lana walked up to Clark coyly and laid a hand on his shoulder.
"Clark, is something wrong? You uh...didn't come back last night. I was worried."

Clark turned around, he opened his mouth to speak, but he couldn't think of a good excuse...not this time.

"I...uh..was helping my mom with...something. I'm really sorry, but I couldn't come."
He looked past Lana akwardly.

"That's okay. I believe you. Um....if you'd like to try it again, we could maybe tomarrow night."

Clark was very surprised that Lana had offered him a second chance. How lucky was he?
"Ofcourse. That would be great. I can't wait."

"I'll see you later then. Bye Clark."
She smiled and walked away. She knew that he was watching her as ahe walked away. That made her smile even wider.

Pete looks at Clark.
"Wow, she must really like you,because that excuse was pathedic...even for you."
He starts to laugh and Clark pushes him aside to get to class. He would deal with Pete later.

(that night)

Clark was lying in his loft reading his book. Then, he puty it down. How could he study with thoughts of Lana filling his mind?
He closed his eyes to relax, when he heard Holly speaking to him again. She probably wanted to thank him for sending a rescue team to capture Eric.

Holly spoke quietly, "Clark, can you hear me?"

"Yes, how are you doing?"

"Not so good. I'm still in the warehouse. I really need your help."

"I thought a rescue team was sent to save you. What happened?"

"He stole some girl's powers. Now he can make himself disappear on demand. The rescue team never found us."

Clark knew that he couldn't possibly tell her why he couldn't save her. What was he going to do?

Clark decided that he would ask someone he trusted to save her,because he felt helpless in this situation. He would ask Pete.

"I can't really explain this, but I can't help you. Don't worry. I'll send Pete..he'll know what to do."

"Thank You Clark, but don't bother making up and excuses. I know that you're allergic to those metetor rocks."

Clark stood frozen, it's a wonder that he didn't fall over and shatter like a piece of glass.

"What else do you know about me? Did Eric tell you?"

"I know that you were effected by the metetor shower. Yes, Eric told me everything."

Clark let out a sigh of relief as he found that she and Eric thought that he was a metetor freak, not an alien.'Thank god.'
He said to himself.

"Holly, I have to go. I'm going to call Pete. He'll be there when you tell him that Eric has left."

"OKay."

Clark quickly picked up the phone and called Pete. After he explained everything, he told him what to do.

"So, I'll hide somewhere nearby and when he leaves..."

"Yea."

"OKay, I'll do it."

"THanx pete."

"Later."

(that night at Chloe's house.)

Clark pulled his truck into Chloe's driveway and walked inside. Chlow answered the door and they quietly sat down on the living room couch.

"So, what's going on?" Chloe asked.

"There's something wierd going on. Eric is back and everyone seems to be ignoring me."

CHloe knew why.
"I'm sure they're not trying to ignore you, Clark. Everything will probably return back to normal when someone captures Eric."

"yOU'RE probably right."

"Yep." CHloe said with a matter-of-factly-tone in her voice.

"I should be on my way then."

"Okay, goodbye,Clark."

(that night at the Talon)


(Calrk stepped into the talon)

"Hey Clark."

"Lana."

"Yes Clark?"

"THanks for giving me a second chance, it means a lot."

"Anytime."

Just then, the phone rang

"I've got it." Clark said.

"Hello Clark, I think you know who it is. I'm going to make this quick ,because I don't really feel like chit-chating with you all night. THis is a warning. I don't want you or anyone else to get in my way...there could be consequences of everyone."

Eric hung uP

"Who was that?" Lana asked.

"Non one."

"PLease Clark tell me."

"Alright, it was Eric."

"Oh, my gosh."She gasped.

"But everything's going to be fine. Pete said....."

Suddenly, he heard an echoe of Holly's voice. She sounded afraid.
"Clark, your friend...Pete...Eric's got him too! He told me that you probably told Pete to come because of the rocks. He's going to capture everyone close to you! Run."

She stopped talking.

Lana gasped.
"What is it Clark. Something wierd is going on."

"Well, Lana You're going to have to bear with me on this one. Just have an open mind. I can hear Holly speak to me through my mind."

"Clark, is that why you left last night? You should have told me...I would have underestood. Holly can speak to people through their minds."

Clark sighed.

"Lana., I have a plan. You're going to walt here for Eric, when he comes, I'll be hiding here. I'll get him. Then, when we get to the warehouse where he's keeping everyone, I need you to throw all of the meteor rocks as far away as you can. Then, I'll untie everyone. Got it?"

"Yea, I think so. I'll just have to trust you on this one."
She smiled.

At about 8:00 PM, Clark hid behind the counter at the Talon. Lana continued cleaning as if Clark wasn't there at all. This plan would work, but only if Clark kept low. Then, Lana could be in danger. He wouldn't risk it, so he hid lower. Then, suddenly he heard the door of the Talon squeak as Lana was in the back room. Eric stepped inside and crept towards the back room door. As he was about to open it, Lana stepped outside, forcing Eric to hide. He wanted to surprise her. As Lana walked towards the counter, Eric crept behind her, just as he was pulling out his gun, Clark jumped from behind the counter. Lana jumped and before she could say a word, Eric held a gun to her head. She only let out a quiet whisper, "Clark."

Eric pulled Lana to the side, stepping closer to the door.
"There's nothing you can do Kent! I've got her. If you take one step closer...I think you can predict what's to happen next." His whisper was cold with anger. Yet, he looked eerily calm and cool. His face looked carved of stone, and his eyes could pierce your own. "So, what ya gonna do about it, superboy?" He chuckled. "Why don't I take your girlfriend to somewhere we can be...alone. How does that sound Lana?" Lana gulped. He sniffed the purfume she wore on her neck.

Clark was tempted to beat the living daylights out of this creep. Maybe he could reason with him first.
"Eric, why are you doing this. You must want something from me. What is it?"

The smile left Eric's face as he stared at Clark coldly.
"Revenge, I want revenge, Clark!" He held the gun closer to Lana. "Stay out of my way. Me and your girlfriend have some catching up to do." Eric made his way to the door, and Clark jumped in front of him. Clark took Lana away from him and they ran outside together.
"Thanks Clark I...."

Just then Eric ran out side holding a piece of Kryptonite in his hand. He ran towards Clark and put the rock into his pocket. Lana ran over to Clark. "Run to the ware house and do what I told you, okay."

"I can't leave you here." She said.


Clark could barely utter a few words, "Just trust me." He saud faintly with shortness of breath. He smiled as wide as he could and slowly, weakly touched Lana's hand and let her slip away.

Lana ran to the warehouse.

Johnathon was picking up some groceries, when he saw Clark lying on the road.

Okay. I'm sorry I didn't write more sooner. I've been busy.

Johnathon stopped, dropped the groceries, and ran over to Clark. He kneeled down. He was just about to ask him what'd happened, but her saw the shining piece of metetor rock in his coat pocket. Without hesitation, he threw the rock as far as possible.

"Clark? Clark? Are you okay now?"

"Yea, thanks. Dad, Eric has captured Mom, Pete, Holly, and he's chasing Lana to the warehouse where he's keeping everyone."

"Everything's going to be fine. I'll go call the cops, you go get them."

Clark noded, and before John could say another word, he sped off. Johnathon smiled.

Clark came to the warehouse and was relieved that all of the metetor rocks were out of sight. He knew that he could always count on Lana. He went into the warehouse and there was no sign of Eric. Holly, his mother, and Pete were still there. Their arm were tied behind their backs and also their feet. They seemed barely awake as he approached them.

"Mom. Mom. I'm here. Don't worry, I'll get you guys out of here."

"Oh, Clark!" Martha embraced Clark.

Clark untied everyone quickly. Holly walked up to Clark.
"Clark, how did you run away so fast the other night. I mean one second you were there and then you were out of sight, completely."

Clark knew that she knew. Eric had already told her about some of his abilities.

"I...uh...was effected by the metetor shower, like...you."

Holly didn't seem surprised.
"I always knew you were special Clark. Your abilities are really kind if cool."

Clark started to feel uncomfortable. She seemed to like his abilities too much. She moved closer to him.

"Accually," she continued, "I think they're kind of sexy."






Clark began to feel even more uncomfortable. Was she coming on to him?

"Clark, I"ve...always sort of...had feelings for you."
Suddenly, she pulled him close by his shirt collar and kissed him hard on the lips.






Clark jumped.

"Wait!" He shouted.

Lana crept from behind the boxes in the back. She looked hurt.

"A little help...please. I don't mean to inturrupt."

Clark ran over to her.
"Lana, I didn't...she did. I mean...I don't have feelings for her."

"Whatever." She said in a cold voice. "I'm sick of your excuses."

Clark stood silent as Lana walked out of the warehouse. Clark was obviously upset, he had once again broken Lana's heart. How and why was he always doing this to Lana? He snapped out of his deep thinking, and he remembered what was most important. He had to find Eric.

Clark ran off to find Eric. He followed the only road from the warehouse. When he x-rayed the nearby houses, he saw Eric stealing money from his parents' house. Without hesitation, he ran inside. Eric froze, then picked up the money and walked over to Clark.
"So, you haven't learned your lesson? Clark, I have your girlfriend, mother, and your best friend! What are you going to do when I have...."
He reaches in his pocket for metetor rock, but it was missing.

"Looking for something Eric?"
Pete had already thrown the piece of metetor rock. He smiled.
"You're a dead man!"

Clark was about to punch Eric, when he disapeared.

"I'm not going back! You can't stop me Clark!"
Suddenly he reapeared. He tried to knock Clark off his feet, but Clark was quick to punch him. Eric slid against the wall. He was passed out. Pete slapped Clark's hand.
"That was great, Clark!"

"Yea, he won't be able to hurt anyone now."

Peaches4cream, Eric was the boy in season1, who had gotten Clark's powers because of a bolt of lightning and a piece of metetor rock (hard to explain!) . Holly was the girl he had a crush on. Clark is having a surprise birthday party, sorry I didn't mention it!!! I promise the next post will be longer. Thanx.

I think I'm going to finnish this story now! It's gonna be a long post!

The sound of sirens outside Eric's house were comforting. Eric would be put back where he obviously belongs. Clark kinda felt sorry for him though. If he hadn't gotten his powers by accident, he wouldn't be in the institution. Eric didn't ask for his abilities. Clark sighed and looked soulfully out the dusty window. Then, his mind wondered back to thoughts of his love, Lana. She could never trust him again...all the times he'd hurt her. ' I love her so much, but...maybe I should just give up on her. She'll never feel the same. She'll never be comfortable around me. Why does this always happen to me...always.' He thought to himself. If only she knew how he felt. He couldn't throughly explain everything, without exposing his secret. Was she worth it? Of course, but he couldn't tell her until he regained her trust. It could take a long time. 'Well, I've been waiting this long, what's another day, week, month, year? I'll wait.'
Just as he was thinking, he felt a gentle hand on his shoulder. He jumped and turned his head around. It was only Pete.

"What's wrong? You should be happy. Eric's where he belongs."

"I know Pete. But I'm kind of the reason why he's there." He turned back around...hiding his compassion for the boy.

"What do you mean, he got what he deserved."

"Pete, he had MY abilities. They were still my resonsibility. I should have helped him. This is my fault."

"Clark, he had your abilities, but not your good intentions along with them. He chose his fate. He chose to hurt those people, not you. This is no way your fault. Don't beat yourself up about it, you hear me man?" He gave him a friendly punch on the shoulder and smiled. Pete was a good guy, he was also right.

"You're right Pete. Thank you." Clark gave him a sincere smile and walked away. Weight had been lifted off of his shoulders. He walked home with the dim light of the street lights above him. As he came by the Talon, he saw Lana just as she was leaving. She carried a book in her hand and a tissue, wet with tears, in the other. She didn't look content, not at all. She looked like she could cry again at any moment. Clark ofcourse, couldn't bear to watch. He closed his eyes mournfully and kept walking with his head held low. He was no hero. He had caused her tears. He walked past quickly so Lana wouldn't see him, then he heard he sweet voice talking to someone on her phone. He stopped. Would he dare listen? Maybe to just a little, so he knew how she was really feeling.

"Yes, I'm coming home now, Chloe. No, nothing's wrong. Why, do I sound upset to you?" She said as her voice got faint and her cheeks wet. "Chloe, it's nothing...really...okay, bye."
She put her phone in her purse and got into her car, by then..Clark was gone. He never in his life felt so guilty. Soon, his cheeks too were wet with tears. He ran into his loft, where he could be alone. He looked up at the stars and wondered why he continued to care so deeply for someone who could care less at this very moment. As he lie awake in the loft late at night, he felt as if he could never sleep that night, not with her on his mind. "I wonder if she's still awake." He said softly. "I wish I could think of a way to regain her trust." He thought for a long time. Then, it came to him, the answer he'd been waiting for. He remembered the night he threw rocks at her window to get her to come outside. He smiled. "It was perfect." He said dreamily. "Maybe I have another chance." He got up and drove to her house.

He threw rocks at her window, and he waited for her to awake. She looked so beautiful, even when she woke up from a deep sleep. Soon, she opened the winow.

"Clark, is that you."

"Lana, come down here...can I talk to you for a minute. If this is the last time you talk to me, so be it, but I need to talk to you. I need to tell you something."

Lana looked annoyed, but she slowly walked outside to find Clark on her porch, smiling.

"I'm glad you came, Lana." He said in a hushed voice.

"What did you want to tell me?" She wanted to get down to bussiness, then leave.

"Well, Lana...I just wanted to apologise. I know if I try to convince you that I didn't mean to do all of those things to hurt you, I'll be here forever and a day. But, the only other thing I can do is say I'm sorry. I know it's not at all good enough. I can't explain everything that's happened, but I can try. I can be here all night. You're worth it."

Lana smiled for the first time.

Clark continued, "Lana, I can start with today...you see...she kissed me, you have to believe me. I'd never do anything purposefully to hurt you. If I could take away all the pain you've felt..all the tears you've cried, I would. I wish I could, but I'm only mortal. Okay, now I'll explain what happened last month...."

Lana stopped him. She put her finger to his lips.
"Shh...that's all I needed to hear, Clark. You really do care about me. I think I can except MOST of the secrets you have. I mean it this time." She combed her hand through his thick hair affectionately. Then, she pulled him into a long kiss, it wouldn't be their last. Something great was just beginning....

I'm going to write yet another story soom, maybe a few days or a week. Hope you guys like it. I'm sorry if this one wasn't nearly as good as the last two, but the next one will be great!!! THank you for you positive feedback.
