It might be, maybe. But it was too early for Clark to face ZOD, wouldn't he eat him breakfast?

I'm guessing its the Eradicator or Braninac. Probably Eradicator since it is link to the FoS.

Keeping in mind that I already know it's not Zod since he didn't even MEET Zod until the second movie... I don't think it'd be such a one-sided fight. Technically Kal-El has already fought another Kryptonian (Jeremiah with Kryptonian powers, that is) and almost won sooooo...

Zod doesn't use super powerful magical-type knives so it'd be a decent fight imo. Also keep in mind that Kal-El kicked the unholy hell outta Jeremiah at the end of that episode too :)

I am thinking Eradicator. Jor-el said something about fire that even Clark coudnt survive, and something about a dark think being awakened? I need to watch it again to get my facts straight to be sure :)

This ship is definately Kryptonian because of it's shape. It looks exactly like a giant "S" shield worn on ole supes chest. The pz is more than likely where it came from because it came with meteors from someplace else that just "popped" out of nowhere after the symbol was tainted. This tells you that the three pieces were tied to a key somehow. This also shows that what jor el said is true that Clark was sent to earth to stop this loophole in their system from being unleashed. The FOS is going to train Clark like it always seems to to fight this menace and take him from a boy who would not stand a chance against Zod, Braniac or any other Krytonian who has full knowledge of their potential on earth to a much closer version of Superman with full use and knowledge of his abilities. The knowledge from the FOS is what will allow Clark to defeat Zod, Braniac whoever.

But Smallville's changed every detail from the movies and comics. When Clark threw the stone in tonights episode, that was the first time in 5 years Smallville's done anything similar to the movie.

I still think its got to be braniac. Isn't braniac's symbol a triangle? And didn't braniac allow Krypton to explode in the first place? He could be the "dark thing" thats been awakened.

Movie continuity has no bearing on Smallville. It could be Zod.

Lets just take it back to the simplest thing. Out of Brainiac, the Eradicator, and Zod who is A) the most believeable to Smallville, B) THe easiest to explain to fans of the show, but not the comics. It is Zod.

Also, and I may be going out on a limb here: Make up in television and movies is fairly exact, they tend to just throw in cuts and or scrapes on to the face/body to show that someone is hurt, or got hit whatever, while watching it, I noticed that when Lana was crawling out of the chopper, that she had a very distinguished "Z" in dirt and blood on her face, coincidence?

How about, NONE OF THE ABOVE. It could be someone or something else entirely. They may be introducing something new, which may or may not have similarities to Braniac, Eradicator, and/or Zod.
