What cereal brands give out the best toys in their cereals, and what is the best toy you have ever gotten from one?
I remember at least 10 years ago (probably a little more), Kellogg's Rice Krispies had these awesome magic-eye like toys. You would get a card with a rainbowy-clear piece of plastic in the middle, and you could use it to find hidden pictures on another card that it came with.
I never really got many toys because my mom always avoided buying those cereals (because the toys are usually crappy anyway :p).
So I'm kind of out-of-touch with the toys that are in cereals nowadays, because a) I don't go grocery shopping, and b) I don't watch the tv channels that advertise stuff that appeals to children. Anyway, I went into our cupboard yesterday and found that my mom bought Miniwheats and Corn Pops, both containing watches featuring characters from the new movie "Robots". The watches are so cute!
So what are your cereal box toy stories?
I'm not "hip" with todays cereal toys either.
But here's my story:
Way back in the day, when I was just a young warthog, Kellogg's Cornflakes had a collect the tabs and win a rooster alarm clock. So everytime my mom went shopping I begged her to buy cornflakes. I was so bloody sick of eating cornflakes by the end, but I had enough tabs. So I sent them away along with I think it was five dollars or something. I eagerly waited. Finally my glow-in-the-dark, rooster-crowing alarm clock arrived. I loved it until the first time the alarm went off. Now, I live on a farm, but to hear a simulated rooster crowing beside me first thing in the morning was too much. About the fourth time it went off I, uh, well, I broke it.

I remember collecting tabs off of Tropicana Orange juice to send in for the Buzz Lightyear toy that talks. I never got enough though :p

Kellogg's used to put stickers with their cereals' advertising characters in their box for a while in 1980 or 1981. I remember I put the Tony the Tiger sticker on the front of my tricycle because I always thought he was pretty cool.

I remember those spoons. Those had to be my favorite. I would put them in the freezer and take them back out to watch them change colors.

It was a game where you and your opponent would put like 3 of them down on top of each other, then one of you use the slammer (a big heavy metal pog) and throw it down on the pile trying to hit the edge of the pogs so they'd flip. Then I think the person who flipped them got to keep all the ones that landed on a certain side.
I'm not sure if that's completely right, but it's something like that. You'd collect them.

As late as last year I collected these Justice League pen decorations from a chocolate cereal called Wheetos. I started to loose my patience when I had like two Wonder Women and two Hawkgirls, but then luckily got Batman and Martian Manhunter too. The ones I never got were Superman, Flash and Green Lantern.

I don't bother with cereal toys any more. Now you have to pay for them. I mean, half the time you have to pay at least $5 for something.
I LOVE those spoons!! I have Abu and Iago from "Aladdin". :)
About a year ago Kellogg's had these mini Disney bobble-heads in the cereals. I got two Mickeys (gave one to my bro), Jesse, Piglet, and Donald Duck. :)

When Spiderman came out they had these web-shooter water guns. I thought it was so cool for like...thirty minutes :p

Another cereal box toy I used to like were those wall-walking spiders that Rice Krispies used to have back in 1986 or '87. They were rubbery and you were supposed to get them kind of damp, throw them against the wall and watch them walk down. My friends and I used to have fun with those. What can I say? We were easily entertained.
