Favorite videogame character?

This is my 1st thread so i hope you enjoy.

I am a big fan of video games and i am sure most of you guys and gals r too, i just wanna know who you favorite video game character is and why. Mine is Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid, I picked him because of his coolness his calmness, his sharp tongue and his ability to get out of any tough situation,

a true legend of videogames if there was 1

This is tough. Gotta love Mario, Sonic, Zelda. All the originals. However, my favorite is probably C.J. from GTA-San Andreas.

I love Adult Link. He is awesome to play w/ his sword and shield. Sonic is fun as well, Mario, Donkey Kong. I love playing the license games from movies, such as Harry Potter, Spiderman, X-Men, and Buffy for an example.

link is a true legend most defintly there hasnt been a zelda game that has sucked imho, i was always kinda a mario freak when i was younger i even wanted to be a plumber for a while, but i always thought the zelda games were just a little better

my friends and i were reminicing about our early video game days

we of course disscussed mario

now they remeber the princess's name as princes peach

however i remeber the name as princess daisy

they thought i was crazy, but i know at least the 1st gameboy mario game had the pricess's name as daisy

can anyone explain?

I have to agree that Link has become a legend in the video game world. Even when people talk about how the Game Cube and its games are not as good as the Playstation and XBox's, a lot of the time they seem to make an exception with Legend of Zelda the Wind Waker. I feel that that's a true statement for how good the Zelda games have been in the history of video games.

And I also was a bit of a Mario freak too. I use to watch the morning cartoon all the time and eat the cereal :D

Princess Peach is also known as Princess Toadstool. She's the Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom.

Princess Daisy is the Princess of Sarasaland.

Daisy was the princess you had to save in Super Mario Land and Peach was the princess in all of the other Mario Bros games. From what people have said, they are not related and do not have any ties to each other.

Buffy makes a great video game character. So does Spidey. Both of them have powers that have been perfectly adapted into games, which sadly is more than you can say about Superman. The day a perfect Superman game comes out, I´ll buy myself a hat and eat it.

Heck yeah! That was about the only fun part of that game. You could run around the entire field and all of the defense would run after you in a line.

Squall from FF VIII. The single baddest SOB in a game ever.

And for a minor rant, I haven't played the Kingdom Hearts game, but I read in the strategy guide that Squall couldn't stop whatever was the villain in there from taking over the world. Might I say...

Cj from Gta is ok but Tommy Versetti is a pimp. Larry Lovage from leisure suit Larry is a cool guy. I like Ken from streetfighter fame. Mario and Luigi and the little mushroom is cool to, and yoshi. The Punisher from the new Ps 2 game is also such a pimp the list could go on and on and on so I'll cut it at this: my alltime favorite is ME when I create my own player on Madden-I'm such a pimp.:D

Sephiroth has always been my favorite villian, although Revan is pretty cool, too.

I don't really have a favorite character. I like a lot of characters, and none more than the others. If I had to pick one, it'd be Cloud. Some other favorites are Link, Master Chief, Joanna Dark, and of course, the Prince of Persia.

Sweet another Xenogears fan. Elly and Fei are definitely favorites. If that game gets remade for the Xenosaga series it had better rock. Elhaym Van Houten is Elly's full name.

Can I say least favorite char? Rikku from ffx2. Ridiculous lines. Very pretty, especially lips in the FMV's but otherwise very annoying. Oh wait, her brother "Brother" was 3x worse. But at least they're funny sometimes.

And from Deus Ex: JC Denton (good guy), Walton Simons and Bob Page (bad guys). excellent voice acting and great characters.

yes the exile was an awesome character but the end of that game left so much to be desired. the characters from that game that i thought stole the show were Atton, and Kreia.

If there was ever a more 2 dimensional character designed by Squaresoft for a Final Fantasy game, I don't know of him, because this guy takes the cake. While he might be the prettiest of the pretty boy FF characters, he is as dullsville as dullsville can get. He has nothing to say that's interesting, he sulks through the entire game, and the coolest cinematics that has him in it, involve him getting his face cut, and when he gets stabbed. Even him being in love seemed like a stretch for him, because the fool can't express anything if his gun blade revolving life depended on it. (Breathe, now.... )

There. Bah I hated that game! I still grumble about the $50 I spent on that game.

I first got interested in video games when I was about 7 or so, but it wasn't until age 9 that I was introduced to the NES (I know, I'm dating myself; hang on a second). Almost two decades later, I still enjoy games, although I'm not as rabid a fan as I used to be.

That said, I think my favorite characters now are probably Mario, Samus Aran, Link, Little Mac, Mega Man, and Simon Belmont. I haven't played a lot of the "next-gen" consoles (other than the Gamecube), and the price of both the PS3 and the Nintendo Wii seems too steep for me to consider at this point.

Of the characters listed, I think if I had to narrow it down, there'd be a tie between Link, Samus, and Mega Man. I always loved stories of robotics, aliens, and science fiction in general, as well as a bit of "historical mythology" like "Lord of the Rings". The "Zelda" series brings back a lot of memories from years past, since a large part of my (later) childhood was absorbed by "Link to the Past" and "Ocarina of Time".
