BR said that after 3 episodes Shaw and Sarah might pursue a relationship outside work. That sounds a little floozy and bimboish on Sarah's part. She's supposed to love Chuck then comes a hot spy and she turns to mush. She loves Chuck because of his innonence and he's normal.
If she does pursue a relationship and bangs the guy after a month then she's damaged in my eyes.
Chuck deserves better than her. She's nothing more than a flaky little bimbo.

They should make Sarah less bimbo :\

I think Smallville is a perfect example of a show that tries to make a relationship the center of the show, how it can get annoying after awhile. It's basically a case you have to find the dumbest of plots at times to keep those characters apart(it comes down to the choice do you put those character together and the audience goes bored or do you try find ways to seperate them annoying the audience, sort of a lose lose situation)
I know I started to get slightly annoyed in S2 of Chuck with the way the relationship was moving, by reading spoilers for this season I can't say I am all that excited

Chris and Josh are going to do something that will seal the coffin for the show. They should stop with these soap esque love triangles that they seem to like because no one will take them seriously.

wow, just wow. I don't know how you have come to this conclusion WHEN you haven't even seen a single episode of S3 yet. You DON'T know the context and why Sarah might be interested in someone other than Chuck.
And so far in my eyes, Sarah has done NOTHING to make me think less of her. Not in season 1 or season 2. I think the writers have done a great job so far with the storylines. Sure the Beefcake and the Jill trilogy weren't the best ever eps, but they were still ok and entertaiing, IMO. And we got Sarah saying that she wouldn't cheat on her 'cover boyfriend' and that when you find something you care about is hard to let go. She CLEARLY prefered the chuckster over Cole.
In the Jill arc, he and Sarah had broken up, and he thought that Jill was 'normal'. He still wanted a normal lifestyle, and Sarah was not it.
Bryce, well, he like Jill were part of C/S pasts. It made lots of sense to develop those character to create some tension between C/S. You really need some angst and sexual tension with characters like this.. it makes it more interesting and keeps people watching. You CAN'T have Chuck and Sarah enjoying of a very smooth relationship so soon (once they get together and all is butterflies and rainbows the show is over. People need to realize that in TV world, couples don't get together too quickly, because that kills the show...it's called the Moonlighting Effect for a reason). There must be some conflict, especially with people LIKE them, you know, their lives are more complicated due to their line of work. And in Chuck's case is even more complicated since he is practically a living weapon and the goverment biggest asset and secret.
According to spoilers, it seems that Sarah WON'T be happy with Chuck's decision to re-intersect. And that's bring a new conflict in their relationship. It could be really good and interesting if written well. And for my money and time, the writers for this show have what it takes. Plus there is the comedy and spy stuff to balance things out.
There has always been good character development in this show. A LOT more than in a show like Smallville. Way better and more logical. I think that by the end of this season Chuck and Sarah will probably become a real couple. I hope so.
And I'm SO very excited with the upcoming season 3. The promos kick all kinds of butt. "No more mister nice spy" FTW! :D

I don't think so. If there a couple, an actual one then more storylines could happen. There's only so much those dimwits can think off until these love triangles become boring and just dumb. Its like soap operas.

This I agree with.
But, while I don't think that Sarah should be labeled a bimbo or a slut, I do think that the showrunners are taking the Sarah/Chuck relationship in the wrong direction, if spoilers are any indicator. Sure, they can't get together but when it's too much, it's too much. They could TRY at a relationship and see what happens. It wouldn't work out because it couldn't, not at first.
However, I will reserve all judgement until I watch S3 because, who knows? All these spoilers might make more sense to us after the epis air.
(And don't forget that Sarah's not the only one getting a love interest for S3 - so is Chuck. If he loves Sarah so much, isn't that just as horrible?)

Wow. Those are some harsh words against Sarah. I don't think she is that bad, but I'm going to wait until next season to judge.
I love this show and I have more faith in it to handle this kind of relationship than a show like Smallivlle. So far, they have handled the Chuck and Sarah relationship very well. We all knew they weren't going to end up together right away and I think they have done a good job of keeping them apart without ruining anything.

As I pointed out above, when you start thgrowing everything and the kitchen sink at the possibility of them getting together, it starts to get old fast

I really don't think it's necessary for Chuck and Sarah to be together at this point. I'd much rather watch Chuck adjust to the spy world where he will now have to take down the bad guys. But then again, I really don't watch shows just for the ships. In Chuck's case, I watch for the comedy and all of the spy action. So as long as the writers keep giving me that, I'll remain interested even if the relationship stuff gets out of control. The one thing about Chuck is that they usually don't make everything super dramatic like Smallville so even if there is some relationship drama, my guess is that there will be enough comedy in there to balance everything out.

While I don't deny that Chuck S2 wasn't as bad as SV S2 in terms of romantic relationships, there still was a few times they did the stall that got annoying(ie finding every reason to keep them together when they so close). Hopefully they can find a happy medium not to make it a centerpiece of this season and focus on other things(and hopefully that doesn't mean putting one of the character in the dumbest of storylines to keep them seperated, I can just imagine Sarah finding out she is the decendant of a witch....lol)

I have faith that Sarah's character will be written well. It's been good so far and the writers know why they get paid, it's to keep the Chuck and Sarah dance going. ;)

myankskent and Supsfan - IA with both of you. If the focus of the show remains comedy and action, I don't think there will be too much of a problem. But I do hate the romantic drama. And the third and fourth parties being brought in. I will deal though because I love Chuck...and I just saw a 6 minute preview and, in the words of Mr. Awesome, it looked AWESOME!!!

Man you are going to love it then when Kristin comes in and jerks his chain just like she did on Smallville. Gawd I hope I'm wrong. I love this show and don't want the writers to go down the same slippery slope as SV with too much angst. Just let Sarah break his heart, then KK, and then back to the spy/buymore stuff.
Of coarse I don't object to another superficial Sarah shower scene every few eppies, otherwise, fun not sex for this show, please.

Lol.. I swear you would think the creators of these shows are women. All these love triangles they do, but I guess that's the target audience they want, who enjoy soap-opera style who's sleeping with who, but loves the other, whos out with thier BFF! Hell they even gloated in some interview or something about having "TVs first Love Trapezoid!" , Most retarded thing to boast about imo, but i guess the women love it.It's funny too because in another interview I saw they even compared themselves to the rachel/ross endless crap in friends, that didn't resolve itself until the final episode of the series.
Thankfully the buymore stuff is still there, with occasional cheesy spy stuff, otherwise this would be just another ga-ga girly show about endless love triangles and relationship see-saws. I just don't get TV these days.

I think the show is at the tough point now where do they put them together and most likely the audience will get bored within a year, or do they try stall the relationship and annoy the fanbase.
As I stated above I just hope they can somehow keep it fun.

That didn't resolve themselves into the final episode of the series? There playing with fire, they have to stop it with this crap of theirs that the show will end if they get together. We worked hard so the show can continue.

honestly, I understood Sarah being mad, but I also understand Chucks reasoning for the choice he made, I thought the writers did a great job with the premiere, the ending on 3.02 was one of my favorite scenes. I dont think Sarah is slutty at all, and I like the way the writers are handling the show, apparently others do to because ratings were awesome. 7.7 million viewers, whooooo!!!!

The title of this thread really bothered me the first time I saw it and after seeing the episode, I don't believe for a second that Sarah is being "a little slutty" by dating someone else. Like others have said, Chuck said no to Sarah. She has every right to be mad and date some one else after that.
I think what the writers are keeping Chuck and Sarah apart because so much of their show is built around the romantic tension of these two characters that if they get them together too soon, they loose that tension that makes the show tick. They are walking a fine line between keeping the apart too long and the viewers getting sick of it and getting them together too soon and loosing the viewers because they've resolved the romantic tension too soon.
This has been the downfall of many a TV show in the past. The romantic tension keeps people interested, but once Tony marries Jeannie, they lose interest and the show's tone shifts. The writers have to be prepared to deal with keeping people interested even after there is no more rooting for Chuck and Sarah to get together. It drives the characters and is why almost every TV show not built around a family starts out with a couple who wants to get together.

I agree with this.
I thought the writers made a good case for both Sarah's POV and Chuck's. I totally understood where both of them were coming from and didn't see that one person particularly was at fault for the relationship breakdown.
Life is that way so many times. Two good people hit bumps in a relationship - not because one of them is bad or made a mistake - but because that is just how life is sometimes.
We don't know for sure what will happen with Sarah and this new guy, but even if they do date or even have an intimate type relationship (which I HIGHLY doubt), I wouldn't blame Sarah. Rebounding and looking for comfort and acceptance all seem like normal human things to go through.

Episode 7 was really disgusting. Chuck and Sarah were totally OC. They cuddled with their love interests, did the writers think that was romantic? It sucked after hating Shaw she suddenly is in too him.
I thought they loved each other!!!!! Then Chuck is making out with Hannah in the Buy More and looking at her like she's the love of his life. Made my stomach turned.
What did she say about getting with other spies? Two faced cow. I swear Josh Schwartz should change his writing style which is more like a soap opera than a drama. We fought hard for the show and he still pulls this stupid angst crap that he likes so much.

Other then them not selling the Sarah/Shaw relationship, I liked episode seven. I think to look to someone else after a break up is a human response.
I think the next few episodes will reveal that not everything is as it seems. We know that both Hannah and Shaw are short lived characters. It will all work out. In the mean time just sit back and enjoy the show. It is fictional entertainment after all.

i wouldn't be surprised if Sarah jumps in the sack with Shaw next episode. It would be predictable. Schwartz should change his writing style less angst more action.
Hell if she has already jumped in the sack with him.
