New episode tonight!

I have to admit though - and hope I'm not being blasphemous as a TV fan for saying this - I don't really "get" the Kristen Chenoweth adoration. She kind of annoys me, actually.

----- Added 1 Minutes later -----

BTW - if enough people start posting in here GLEE might have to have is own subforum. What do you think, Gleeks?

I like Kristen Chenoweth. She's kind of adorable and was great on Pushing Daisies.

I'd post in a Glee subforum.

I do admit it could be one of those things where I just haven't seen the right bit of her to fall in love. Kind of like my best friend who - gasp! - hated what he saw of GLEE.

Maybe tonight's episode will sway me.

I've never really been big on Kristin Chenoweth, but then I saw her in Pushing Daisies! She is pretty awesome, and she actually sings too. Very cool.

I'm stoked for her appearance tonight.

Okay, so this show is pretty much genius! I laughed so much tonight. Kristin Chenoweth deserves a guest spot emmy for that performance. Her performance was lovable and just down right LMAO.

The songs were so amazing tonight too. My favorites were "Alone" with Kristin Chenoweth and "Somebody To Love" at the end.

This show really brings up my spirits. :) Love it! I can't speak enough about how amazing this show is.

Kristen Chenoweth was great in tonight's episode. I kept expecting her character to make a total fool of herself and was so glad she never did.

Chenoweth was amazing on Glee. I never knew that such a BIG voice could come out of someone so small.

I love Kristin Chenoweth because I was introduced to her in her braudway shows, like Wicked and Charlie Brown (don't ask) and I just loved how cute she is. She has a great voice, and is a great actor. Plus she's really funny! That's just why I like her. She's just really cute, I guess. shrug

Glee have it's own subforum!? That would be AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wasn;t expecting to enjoy KC's performance but she was fun, and really talented singer...I even liked her better than Rachel in that competitive duet.

I enjoyed the guest star getting a lot of song-time too...4 big numbers. Also, glad this episode was filled w/ a lot of music. They were slowly shrinking the amount of music, and glad they mixed it up w/ music-filled episode.

She set the bar extremely high for future guest stars on a vocal performance level.

I really like the musical choices made with this show; there is nothing like this on tv right now. I love the Queen song "Somebody to Love". Like I said before I'm glad they're not limiting musical choices to just present hits. It's nice to hear songs/genres that one may not listen to because of personal preference or what ever it maybe. I'm personally eclectic when it comes to music; I love all genres as long as they sound good.

This show is proving that it's a contender to the same shows that keep getting made. I can't wait until next week; they're doing a battle of the sexes episode....who will win? I don't know but its going to be fun to watch.

I may sound stupid asking this but do the actors actually sing the songs? Are the voices we hear really coming from them?

I believe they are, but they seem to pre-record it and lip sync. What's odd is there was a scene where April was singing tonight that sounded so much more natural than the other music on the show... yet when she was singing with Will it seemed lip synced.

Great episode, by the way. I noticed some cast members weren't present for this one... I don't remember seeing the skeevy football coach, no annoying wife, and (sadly) barely any Sue Sylvester. And Kristin Chenoweth succeeded in getting my attention and respect... what an amazing voice she has!

Poor Finn. He totally likes Rachel but feels responsible to Quinn.

I saw it for the first time last night and loved it. Yeh, KC was great aside from the moments of poorly edited lip synching, but still, the vocal talents of the cast alone was just great.

Lea Michele needs to play Elphaba......

Craig, I think that Rachel does sing live a lot. Many of the other actors are not nearly as vocally talented so they pre-record and then they harmonize their voices with some of the tech. staff. At least, I think I read that somewhere. And it seems obvious when Rachel isn't lip syncing.

Yes! I would definitely post in a Glee sub-forum!

I also enjoyed the music selection this week. I have to admit that I got chills at the end of "Somebody To Love" when they had Mercedes hit the long held note which led to the ending. I expected it be done vocally with her voice and then a "big 80s finish" instrumentally. The ending was great!

I have never watched Kristin Chenoweth so this was interesting to me. The entire episode I wanted both Rachel and KC's character to wake up to what was happening around them and make the right choice for each of their characters. I loved the moment at the end of the song "Last Name" where the looks on both of their faces showed this realization. That also made the last number great to watch, because Rachel was finally back where she belonged.

Well, I noticed that bad lip synced in every performance they did for this episode :\ but other than that the episode was very enjoyable like always.
I liked KC on the show too, she is like just ok for me maybe because never saw Pushing Daisies though I didn't know she can sing, great voice she has.
Also I would LOVE to see more guest stars getting their own performances in the future, that could be awesome.

What made my day? Emma aka Bambi :rotfl:

I hope Sue features a lot more heavily next episode, I really missed her this week, though the one scene she was in she still managed to crack me up!! "Y'know, when I heard Sandy wanted to write himself into a scene as Queen Cleopatra, I was aroused, then furious." :rotfl: LOVE her! Please let us have a subforum if just so we can have a thread dedicated to Sue Sylvester and her one-liners, lol.

It's funny that there seems to be a general consensus in here that Quinn's the bad guy in the situation...I didn't really see what she did as a tactic to keep Finn in a relationship with her. Instead, I saw a scared 16 year old girl who found out that she got pregnant by her boyfriend's best friend, after he got her drunk and took advantage of her in a vulnerable state (probably 'cause he was in love with her...still...not the best way to win her affections). I think she loves Finn and thinks he would make a better father Puck. She's thinking of herself, yes, but also her future child. Anyway, JMO...and I am partial to Quinn.

I agree. I don't really hate her just yet, she's really scared.

Oh I just started watching Glee and I LOVE it, I miss Pushing Daisies so I thought another perfect show to watch and then KC appears and I loved her and everything about this show!! It's funny and I'm loving.

Soundtrack? yay!

I knowww. I was thinking how very devious and manipulative of him... but then he can't figure out he didn't get Quinn preggers? What is up with this dude?

I don't think he did. I think he used reverse psychology on her. Instead of begging her to come back, he helped her practice her lines for the play. She came back only after she saw what she was missing while watching them perform with April.

He knows she has feelings for him and he used that on his advantage ;) i don't think that was very honest of him even if he was doing that because his baby or because he feels something for her as well.
I really felt sorry for Rachel at the boiling thing, poor thing. I know that he didn't really make her come back but he made her have high expectations regarding their relationship.

I don't understand why Mercedes couldn't do Rachel's part in Somebody to Love.

I would have loved that, she proved that she is NO Kelly Roland. I still get chills during her part and I have heard it almost a thousand times.

Does anyone else notice the mirroring between Wemma and Fichel?

In this episode both of the golden boys were being douches to the social outcasts, and the girls give it to them straight one by chatting the other with well *SLAP*.

Kristin Chenoweth is amazing! I loved her on Pushing Daisies and I loved her in this episode!

Plus, if anyone's a fan of Wicked the musical, she was the original Glinda. She's such an amazing singer!

I gave this one an 8. Not perfect, but it was more entertaining than previous episodes. I also like Kristin Chenowith (sp?). I didn't like them singing Heart's Alone, but only because I am a die hard Heart fan and I get offended when anyone other than Heart sings their songs. But I liked it overall.

and that's exactly what I thought!!!
I love Mercedes, she's like THE best singer in the Glee (and yes, I know Rachel is good, but c'mon! Mercedes is the next Beyoncè! LOL ).
Her solo in Somebody to love was amazing, even tho it was very short :(
I really hope she will sing something on her own in the next epi... or maybe with Kurt! I love their friendship! They're so cute!

We need a Sue Sylvester fan club! And T-shirts for all of its members with her wacky quotes printed on them!
Now that would be awesome!!!

and about KC, I loved her! I have since she was in Pushing daises! That's when I found out how great she was at singing.
I was really hoping that, since she is unemployed ATM, her character in Glee would stay for a couple of epi, maybe helping Will with the Club... but no such luck :P

oh well, that means Emma is gonna be the one helping him out, LOL
anything for those two to be together! :D

btw, did anybody else miss the Vocals adrenalin? LOL
I love them, they're so awesome!

i feel like Chenoweth was kind of disappointing. She has a great voice no doubt about that and she acted well but her character didn't seem real to me. plus rachel drives me up a wall and it was painful watching her just become more and more irritatingly selfish. I kind of wish Chenoweth stayed on and Rachel moved on haah

What I loved in Kristin C./Rachel scene, when she said "Now that I got this back, I'm not letting it go" she hummed the creepiest song...much creepier than music. I thought it was the music at 1st but it really cemented that scene in my mind as creepy and kudos for Kristin Chenowith for executing/planning that. Her version worked better than over-riding music.
