I completely agree with all of you. That was a really great and even touching scene between jimmy and CK. Just seeing the joy in Jimmy and knowing the future of a great friendship was really amazing.

Yeah, I loved the scene between Clark and Jimmy. Knew Jimmy was red-shirted at that moment, but I'm so glad they came to an understanding.

My favorite scene was when Jimmy saved CK and Clark revealed his secret to him. When CK supersped off, perhaps the best scene ever of him superspeeding, his speed actually sucked Jimmy towards Clark's path. But the thing that I loved was Jimmy's amazement at what he saw. It bothers me no end that Chloe is used to it and has lost her amazement at what CK can do. Superman should always be amazing and if and when Lois finds out I hope that she never gets like Chloe and is ho hum about CK's abilities. I loved that scene tonight.

The Clark/Jimmy scene was one of the best of the episode because they actually redeemed Jimmy. Jimmy was right both in Identity and Turbulence and his wife treated him like an idiot in the first episode and like a pshycho in the other one. At least Clark told him the truth and Jimmy died knowing he was right. I'm so sad he's gone, i loved the 'iconic trio' and hated that they retconned Jimmy's character.

I completely agree with your post. Jimmy was amazing throughout this season. I never once doubted he was the real Jimmy Olsen and even now I refuse to believe any differently. This was a retcon and nothing else.

I really liked that scene as well. He kind of reminded me of a little kid again, because he looked so happy and excited over it. And Clark was a bit hesitant, but he had a small smile on his face when he confirmed and told Jimmy he was right about it all.
I'm sad he's gone, too. I mean, sometimes he was used more for comedic relief... but he was still a great, happy character in general and fun to have around.

I'm OK with it because I'm used to Jimmy being a kid who looks up to CK and calls him "Mr. Kent". I guess it was Lois and Clark where they made him roughly the same age and I prefer the original mythos. I want to hear "golly Mr. Kent" like I heard on the TV show from my childhood from Jack Larsen.

I think it was OK. Jimmy is supposed to be much younger than CK and Lois. This will fit into the mythos much better.

When Clark revealed he's the RBB to Jimmy, and Jimmy goes, "......you're a super....." rather than him saying "guy" I really wanted him to say "man." With the long pause he took in his comment it would have been so perfect...."you're a super.........man."

The whole manner in which they handled the wedding and immediately thereafter made it palatable for me. I wanted Chloe to go but the way that they handled Jimmy is consistent with the mythos. It will also save some salary and perhaps that can be put into special effects. We can only hope.

Absolutely my favorite scene. It even made sense. I'm still trying to figure out how DD is trapped but Clark got out and what purpose it serves for Lois to be in the future and on and on. This scene has been played over and over.

True. The writers just wanted to tease us as he said "super" and then struggled to end the phrase. It's all good.

That scene was the best. It felt good to know that this episode Jimmy got closure in knowing why Chloe was always protective of CK and why she supposedly ran off with Davis. Its only too bad that for him to reach an epiphany of this height that the writers felt they needed to kill him off. RIP Jimbo, you will always be the real wholesome-Olson to me.

Good points and I for one do not buy into Chloe's explanation that she only was protecting Clark. She should have taken Davis to the police and reported him as the cornfield killer but instead continued to shelter a felon and mass murderer.

Oh Jimmy's reaction was great, that one scene redeemed him after the way he has been acting in the last half of the season. I loved Jimmy for the first time this episode, now he's dead.
But you know Clark being as self-absorbed as he is, is going to think him telling Jimmy the truth is the reason he is dead.

If that is the part of Clark that is now dead I'm all for it. I'm so sick of the conflicted, tortured soul who takes responsibility for everyone's earache. I want the Man of Steel.

Perhaps but it will be cool to jump ahead a bit and there is James Bartholomew Olson as an intern at the DP, the brother of Henry James Olson. I kind of like the way that they did it. It lines up with the mythos much better. Now the question is how they will line up Lois and Clark to match the mythos.

ITA.
And speaking of his wife, did she ever tell him that he was right all along? Or at least did she tell him she is sorry that she didn’t trust him?
It would’ve been nice for Jimmy to hear those words from a woman he loved and sacrificed his life for. JMO

BEST SCENE EVER ON SMALLVILLE! The more I've thought about it, the more I believe it was the best scene....at least the best scene we've had in a very long while!
Jimmy's reaction to Clark's secret was exactly as it should be in the presence of the man who will become the greatest superhero that ever lived! The whole scene just oozed awesomeness! VERY ICONIC!!!!!!!

I really loved this scene. The only other Jimmy scene comparable was the one in Identity where he figured it all out as well. His reactions are just spot on, and it was so refreshing to see someone excited about Clark again. The responses to his superpowers have just been so... bland, in recent memory. Really going to miss Jimmy... I find it hard to face the way they wrote him out of the show. I never believed he was anyone other than Jimmy Olsen... :( Thanks go out to Aaron for a great portrayal.

i also think that this was the best szene!
the best thing is that jimmy was able to understand chloe in many ways! in season 6 jimmy had a break up with chloe because of clark's secret etc.
jimmy was always jealous because of claek and chloe. now he was able to understand everything, to understand why chloe was so close with clark!
i loved and enjoyed that szene in smallville and i had that feeling that clark felt lucky with that situation! with the fact that jimmy know his secret!
it is a shame that jimmy died and we never ever will see how this new situation worked out in the future! but i am happy that jimmy found it out before he died!
we will miss jimmy!!!!! he really loved chloe!!!!

We went from the CK/Jimmy scene being the best in the show to the Jimmy/Chloe/Davis scene being the worst in the show. What's the point of leading Jimmy and Chloe to reconciliation and while they kiss he is brutally murdered in her arms. That is so far over the top that it's enough to make one stop watching the show.

I am actually surprised no one is posting about the fact that jimmy could have said "you are like a Super... man" instead, he just said Super guy.
That was a little disappointing off course they couldnt make him say that but come on.
Also Clark must have jumped to take Doomsday to the Geothermic plant, however it seemed like a bare attempt of flight.
Also how in the world is an explosion going to kill Doomsday. Seriously, right now he is supposed to be impenetrable. He may be trapped down there but not dead. He doesnt die, thats why they shouldnt have bring him since it s a never ending story.
This episode...was cool, but sucked, could have been better, and tess vs lois fight was so much more exciting than clark's vs doomsday, come on!
But if Smallville is about Clark, how come "Clark Kent" is dead.
Oh and btw OLIVER WAS RIGHT STUPID CLARK!

Lois names Superman in the mythos and I suppose they are respecting that. Lois has already called him "Superdude" and the Blur challenged her to come up with a new name. I think that will be coming quickly in S9.
