or they could explain it as such: lex had meteor abilities from kryptonite (immunity) so he had kryptonain stuff in him, whereas bart supposedly does not.

Maybe this how it should the end
Ok I was thinking if Davis was the good personality he would be like prefect doing nothing bad since Doomsday was the bad personaility. I was actually thinking he would wake and smile when he saw Jimmy and Chole together. I thought he would laugh and say i'm soo glad you two are back together, sorry for making you look stupid James. Look like it's over now. I better get going. Chole says wait your a wanted fugutive. Maybe Oliver can give you a name. Daivs gets a new name then he dissappears from smallivlle. He could say i'm headed to gotham, I heard they could use some more medical help there.
That's how it should have end, now it seem like Clark was wrong and Oliver was right.

Listened to Oliver or listened to Rokk or listened to...anyone but himself.

So what if Clark can't actually remember how he escaped from the plant because he was seperated by Black Kryptonite?

We didn't get to see him using his powers after the Doomsday "fight". Maybe somehow he smashed into Black-K or used it on himself. Maybe he can even control his Kal-El side, thus the "Clark Kent is dead."

As they said it was more a metaphorical death, if Clark got split of from his other side, it wouldn't be that metaphorical I think plus we already dealt with this before. Besides how would he suddenly have come in contact with black K? I don't think Doomsday would use it on him and I can't see anyone else having a reason to use it on him.

Clark avoids the black K just about as much as the green.

Wouldn't it just makes more sense that Clark is having another Emo moment, much like he does at least once an episode where he has to make an adult decision?

Black Kryptonite doesn't necessarily split humans/Kryptonians right? For one, there's nothing human (genetically) IN Clark or Davis Bloome. It seems to split characters, either good or evil (Lex), or for Clark the 'duty first machine' vs. his regular self. So for Davis Bloom, shouldn't all the evil go with the beast? Just a thought, but it seems like a misuse.

Some people have suggested that Black K doesn't work on creatures like Davis. So maybe it didn't work correctly.

It seems that Black K sorts out conflict. I wouldn't say that Kal-El was evil, just very Kryptonian and driven. So Davis had conflict between his beast side and his human side... *shrug*

Who knows? I think I remember that Annette O'Toole asked the writers what Black K did back in Season 4 and couldn't get a straight answer. LOL!

Perhaps one of the points they're trying to make includes Clark's disillusionment with humanity. Here we think Davis is a good guy harboring the evil beast, when in fact he, too, is evil and always has been, there's nothing to split from him (didn't Davis scream, "....save???? There's nothing left to save!!!"). He looks all nice and safe, but has, and always will have, his own beast inside. (yeah, argue that Davis is Kryptonian and there's no human side to him at all, but still...)

It was used (poorly, might I add) as a plot device, nothing more. Why they separated the two just to kill Davis is beyond me. Would've been so much cooler if Davis gave in to the beast when Chloe would side with the JL.
