View Full Version : Most Evilest TV Villain!

What The

Lex Luthor is lex luthor, he has powers, and he uses them for the purposes of bad, which makes him - Lex Luthor :)

The X-Files' Cigarette Smoking Man was one mean mother, the way he played god on so many occasions, you wished he was dead, but then again? where would the fun go if he was dead?

How cool was it the first time Anjelus appeared? there was this one nemesis who could have destroyed the universe

Richard Fish - hes evil without being evil

Meca- streisand - Robert Smith rules the world yo? :) one of the classic South park episodes

Cole Turner of Charmed - ya, he'll get a mention

Illyria is as evil as any character i've ever seen in recent tv history, other than the host / crew of survivor, average joe

Mr Burns - just plain evil!

Megatron - of course :)

Krang/ Shredder - they did eventually turn the turtles into Soup, via cancellation

It's clearly "Angelus", the guy has absolutely no care for ANYONE, and he truly gets off on his evil.

I just don't consider Lex a villain. Not yet, anyway. I would have put Lionel in his place.

As soon as I read the title of this poll, before I even looked at the choices, I had to go with Angelus. A lot of villains at least try to pretend (and maybe believe themselves) that there is a reason for the things they do. Sometimes, they like to pretend there reasons are good and honorable. (Gideon on CHARMED, wanting to kill baby Wyatt because he's so powerful, and could be dangerous when he grows up.) Other times, their reasons are obviously selfish. (Lionel ordering Lex's ECT to protect the secret that he'd killed his parents.) But, still, they have a reasons.

Angelus doesn't need a reason. He's a sadist, pure and simple. He likes seeing people in pain, like sitting back and watching the Beast beat up on Faith. You could tell he really enjoyed that. But he likes it even better when he's the one causing the suffering.

I remember back in the day, when he was about to torture Giles. If Angelus had looked mean, or menacing, that would have been one thing. But Angelus got this look on his face that was beyond happiness. It was...bliss. Like the anticipation of hurting this man filled him with pleasure beyond imagining. Creeped me the heck out, I gotta tell ya.

Plus, anyone who would nail a puppy to a wall, or put someone's goldfish on a string to make them a "necklace" is just beyond evil.

Back in the 70's, there was a miniseries called 'I, Claudius'! On it was the wife of Augustus ... Livia! I think she is the most evil character EVER on television!!!!

He should be on the poll, but he can't out-evil Angelus. I just can't see Lionel tying a living woman to a corpse (and breaking her arms first, so she can't untie herself...if I remember correctly), locking them in a room, and wondering (with curious glee) what will happen in a day or two when she starts to get hungry.

I think Lionel is capable of evil things. But there's a purpose behind it. With Angelus, it's all about having a good time. He gets bored, someone's about to feel some pain.

And, currently I'd classify Lex as "Sittin on the fence of evilhood."

The character Greg Stilson on the show The Dead Zone is one mean and evil bastard. I have only seen season 1 of the show on DVD, but from what I have seen so far, the guy is bad news. I can't wait for season 2 to come out on DVD. The thing that sucks is that it comes out on DVD 2 days after season 3 premiers.

Angelus is another bad ass villan as well as Spike when he was evil. It is hard to choose who is better. I also thought Glory was a very good villan in season 5 of Buffy.

Mr. Burns is another great villan.

Lex Luthor is my favorite villan.

Mr. Burnes is a funnie villan. I voted 4 Lex Luthor based on the Lex in L&C.

BAD CSM! BAD!;)

I voted Cole from Charmed - he was an evil SOB!!!
And Why is Faith from Buffy/Angel not mentioned? Faith is the only person/thing that has really been true competition for Buffy!!! And was also the one to scare Buffy the most - as she admited in season 4!!!

I would have voted Faith...she is truly evil!!!And hot!!!

To the people who think Cole is evil, wrong.

Ok, he is pretty bad but towards the end of season 5 he was pretty much only doing things because he loved Phoebe and wanted to be with her. That definitely isn't that evil to me.

To the person who mentioend Faith:

She is not evil. She was definitely bad, but not evil. She was just really mixed up and had issues. Watch the Angel episode 'Five by Five" and "Sanctuary" and you'll see. True evil is definitely not in Faith. And if you happen to miss the end portion of Buffy's 7th season, if Faith's so evil, I don't think she'd be on Buffy's side, like she was. She would've been conspiring with The First Evil.

Hm, that reminds me, maybe The First Evil should be on this pole!

Defintely Angelus, he does not care about anything. Good or evil, it does not matter, he kills everyone. He is the best villian of all time.

Very true...but she was, and still is the best baddy on TV I reckon!!! Mainly because she doesn't fall under the same style as the other villans mentioned above!!!

For me there's two types of villians. The ones who come off just plain demented, and those who you can almost sympathize with or understand/feel for.

With that in mind, my pick for the first would be Angelus, out of the choices listed. Not Angel Angelus, though (he was written poorly, IMO). For me it's Buffy Angelus. The episode "Passion" could convince me all by itself. His speech about passion, and his killing of Jenny Calendar. I'll never forget how I felt after watching that episode.

Lex, when he turns on Smallville, will fall into the latter category. I already feel for him, and you can see the good in him, IMO. He's the tragic type of villian.

I think Angelus in the ANGEL episode "Soulless" was fantastic. Even in a cage, you could feel his presence reaching out to swallow everything up. Like Lorne said, in his mind, he wasn't in a cage, and you could really feel it. Angelus in that episode oozes evil, and I love it.

He was good in most of "Calvary", too.

I don't know what it was. It was almost like, once he got out of the cage at the end of "Calvary", and regained his physical freedom, he lost some of his power, probably because the writers didn't want to go too far. I can almost hear the writers saying, "Remember, he'll be getting his soul back in a few eps, and we want the viewers to still like him, which will be hard if they remember seeing him do all of this terrible stuff. So we can't let them see him do anything too bad." And, if you watch the episodes, they talk a lot about all the people he was out there killing, and we did see him hunt down some humans. But as bad as he got (beating up on Faith, puncturing the store owners lung, etc.) that was all pretty tame if you know anything about Angelus.

I'll have to agree to disagree with you on Angelus in the cage. I found the entire thing made him look rediculous. All the talk didn't do it for me. He came off lame instead of evil, IMO. I didn't care for him once he got out either. There was just something about the writing of the character that I didn't care for. I can't quite explain it.

If you want someone truly evil, they must be from the soap opera universe. Try a Dave and James Stembeck form As The World Turns or a Sheila Forester from The Bold & the Beautiful. They've been killing and plotting for years on end. Of the choices you have, I would got with Angelus. He's just demonic and void of emotion. In short, he doesn't give a damn.

Angelus has got the one up in the evil department - since he's got supernatural powers, he's been around for so long, and he is so sweet faced. He is that much more evil because of the contrast to his alter ego Angel, who is a champion.

From the List provided, I'd have to go with good ol' Burnsie

But I'd also like throw out another new name for consideration: Anubis from SG1. I figure's he's the closest thing TV has to a Darth Vader. And let's not forget Stewie from Family Guy.

"Damian...put the dog down Damian..." ;)

Angelus is the most evil villain. I love it after he and Buffy did the deed that turned him evil and he killed the lady that was smoking a cigarette by biting her neck and blew out the smoke she had inhaled. < Whoa, that sentence was long! Anyways, that was awesomely evil. Lex on SV is my favorite villain of all time, but not quite there yet. Mr. Burns (if we're talking about the old fart on The Simpsons) isn't a villain, he's just plain mean.
