I can accept Plastique being young, and to some extent Livewire, but Parasite looks about 18... Could we not have ANY mature villains in the league that's supposed to be a credible threat to Clark? It's like throw-down in the nursery here...

Um … seriously in about 13 minutes into the episode Neutron is killed and Livewire has her powers taken by Parasite.

They are future Superman enemies, they can't be old.

I'm not saying Ancient, but 28, 30? Clark's now 24, 25.

Although I prefer them young to, well, dead. A la Livewire.

and from what I remember about comic book storyline, parasite absorbed some of clark's powers not all of them. It required a prolonged touch to drain him.

That was the first thing I noticed too. It was like I was watching a kids show for a moment. Even if they are in their teens, they were awfully young looking and not to mention short. I couldn't really take them seriously, not when Clark and Ollie look like real men and Tess looks like a real woman. The rest just looked like kiddos to me...

But that's the thing, in the comics, Livewire and Parasite are alot younger than Clark, at least 10 years younger.

Livewire yes, but Rudy? He seems to be as old, if not older. Though, to be fair he's also purple.

Rudy is younger. Maybe late 20s when Clark was already 30s.

Yeah thats true. I think they rushed this entire episode, so much stuff was said and things happened that we've never seen before. I would have liked more IL and possibly screentime vs DD but I'm sure the finale will more than make up for this episodes flaws.

Brendan Fletcher who played Parasite is 27 he'll be 28 in december so I wouldn't go as far.As to calling him in the minor leagues REebee52 if anything Jessica Parker Kennedy looks to be 18. Heck I wanted to drop kick her cause she was annoying and I thought lana was bad.....

actually i believe clark is 22. he was a freshman in season one add 8 years equals 22. So even though he doesnt look it he is still quite young.

Clark should actually be 22 right now.

They graduated in season 4, making him 18 then so...

----- Added 32 Seconds later -----

whoa LOL!! Same minds a minute apart

They were incredibly lame. This is a storyline that should've played out all season, at least in the background. Instead, it hasn't been mentioned since Prey. You can't really expect a storyline to have any impact when its off screen and forgotten for much of the season. Not to mention that the actors didn't make much of an impression, and their dialogue was horrendous.

It seemed like a weak excuse to drop some DC names.

Techincally Clark is 23 now Clark was 3 when he landed on earth, then fast-forward 12 years later and he's 15.And eight years later so Clark should be 23 at this point since we don't have his exact d.o.b.

Killing Livewire is a huge mistake. They could have done an episode or two about creating this team instead we get one episode with Plasitique and hints about Tess' gang in other episodes. This episode seemed so thrown together when it should have been a huge fight with the JLA vs. IJL or at least most of them teaming up to stop Doomsday or have them fight Doomsday. I know the budget isn't great, but at least give us something more then a few punches. I have a bad feeling that Clark vs. Doomsday won't live up to the hype or be nothing more then a few punches. This really was a giant waste of great characters and the orb at the end gave me a headache.

He was it even said so in the pilot description back before the pre-CW days. Just chalk it up to another one of their blunders like how they mess up Chloe and Lana's birthdays on the show.

Are they allowed to kill LIVEWIRE??? Is not a dc comic character???

LOL IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE 18 = 5 = DIAPER.

I mean really. Seeing as how Tess is putting this team together herself, I don't see why everyone expects a fully-fledged team of supervillains. In making them younger, they're vulnerable enough to be led by someone like Tess. Not to mention Parasite and Livewire are young in the comics anyway--it'd be like introducing Dick Grayson as an infant and complaining he's not Nightwing yet. And seeing as how Clark isn't Superman yet anyway, I'm really not seeing where all these complaints about the villains not being full-grown adults are coming from.

Are they allowed to kill LIVEWIRE??? Is not a dc comic character???
To be fair, so is Lex. Obviously not the same thing, in that they probably have plans for Lex, but really. Livewire's cool, I get it, but I think killing her off was little more and no less than a demonstration that SV really is an AU.

Seriously, I didn't think this episode was all that terrible, even with the direction they took the Injustice League.
