So how many of you were shock to learn that Clark was taking Jimmy's side in the whole marriage thing with Chloe? I was definitely shocked. I didn't know they had been growing that close. Glad to see Clark taking Jimmy's side for once.

Yay I was so happy Clark was on Team Jimmy. Even he understood that this could have all been prevented if Chloe was more understanding. I was more surprised the Lois wasn't on Jimmy's side as well but I guess family will side with family no matter what.

Yeah I was surprised by that too but like you said Family will always side with family but I have a feeling if Lois knew the truth she would probably side with Jimmy as well.

I guess that's true. I guess hawkgirl said it best when she told Superman " Don't you ever get tired straddling the fence all the time?". It's so Clark though.:)

I was surprised that Clark sided with Jimmy. Do you think he's right to side with him? Yes/No.

Yep. The thing is... He knew how it feels when the person you love don't trust you. So yeah, I'm with Clark on this one.

did he really side with Jimmy though? All he did was give him the benefit of the doubt of how frustrating (and fatal) it is to not have the support of his other half. Something which Clark can relate to with Lana going behind his back many a time.

He didn't side with Jimmy. She was pointing out that it's not all Jimmy's fault! Clark was right to point out what he did. Chloe has never trusted Jimmy and has taken the word of Clark and now Davis over Jimmy.

Jimmy's right about Davis, but Chloe even with everything Davis has told her about the blackouts, hurting people, etc. still didn't believe Jimmy. I think they're better off apart, but Clark is friends with both, and I'm glad he didn't start bashing Jimmy.

Yeh, he didn't side with jimmy all he said was that there are two sides to every argument, thats true. he made chloe see the situation from a different angle

I just love that he's saying it at her face. lol.

Well, he didn't know it was Chloe's face, though; this was when he thought it was Lois. I don't blame Clark for feeling the way he does, even though I wish he would be a LITTLE more supportive of Chloe considering how much longer and better he's known her. Still, I know a lot about what it's like to have to be in the middle between two people who are on the outs with each other and try to be friends with them both. You have to be very diplomatic about it, and Clark's right; there are two sides to every story and he's wise to stick with his gut on this one.

I just love that he's saying it at her face. lol.

The strangest thing though that he was right and in doing so actually avoids needless Soap Opera nonsense. Therefore all is good:D

It wasn't just Clark that was on the short end of the trust issue. Remember that for several years he was Lana's boyfriend and didn't share his secret with her. I'm no Lana fan, but it was Clark that didn't trust her.

Well as women say in my country,"all the pigs have the same mug".

If you think about it Clark did exactly what Chloe did in Prey. As much as she valued Clark's friendship she could help the fact that those kids came to her and she respected their privacy. Clark did the same think, he respected Chloe and stands by her in her time of need, but he also realized that Chloe should have been there for Jimmy.

I can respect Clark seeing both sides but he wasn't really there.

I could see if he thought Davis was serial killer but he didn't. He just thought Chloe should have beleived in Jimmy no matter what. I saw EdChloe's expression like are you kidding me?

I see why Lois was on Chloe's side. Their family. Plus Lois had a feeling that Jimmy was al wrong for Chloe.

I know it was sledom but the hints of Chlo-Lo were great.

Clark didn't take Jimmy's side. He just said he could understand Jimmy's side of things. It doesn't mean he can't also see Chloe's side of things.

I was waiting for somebody to make a thread about this topic. I was hoping Clark would take Jimmy's side. I am glad he did. It shows the Clark and Jimmy are friends like they are supposed to be. It also shows Chloe, that maybe she was in the wrong and that Jimmy was right after all, because Clark can see both sides. So he is like a neutral party in the situation. This allows him to help out each of them.

He didn't necessarily say he was taking Jimmy's side. He said there were two sides to every situation.... But I love that he thinks that way. I love it when Jimmy and Clark are friends.

Clark is on team I see both sides...

Well Clark needs to show then!!!!! Cos not comming to his bestfriend's birthday party, just because he doesn't agree with her on one particular matter, is just plain stupid and childish! I mean I can understand him having to save people, but once he was done with that, he should have had appeared at the party, but he failed! Frankly I liked Oliver more in this episode, though Clark did redeem himself at the end, visiting Chloe and talking to her about her feelings, he should have taken that kind of interest sooner though!
As for not being on any particular side, yeah right, he should have reserved his obvious and unrightful judgment until he actually heard both sides of the story, and not just the painkiller induced ramblings of a whiny and bitter husband whose pride got hurt!
And there is one rule to seperation and divorce, no matetr who is the guilty party, family and best friends ar obliged to pick thé side who is well... RELATED TO THEM! Now granted Clark and Chloe aren't by blood, but after everything they have been through she deserved his having her back even if he doesn't agree with everything she did!
