This is the third episode since the Lana mess. Have we left it behind and have we picked up where we were up until "Bride" with Clark and Lois fitting into the standard mythos? Have we progressed, regressed or perhaps just taken baby steps and aren't quite back to where we were?

I dont think we will have too much clois before season 9, just enough for keep everyone happy. I dont think we could ever move on the the lana debacle lol it was a pretty bad story arc

I tell it once again : I was against denial until the Clana Arc lol . So to me, it never existed. It is far behind me, I am fine with SV now. I enjoy it, Clark is our hero, that is what matters IMO

Thanks for making the same titled thread, galatians221. I was counting on you.
(Personally, I much prefer this thread than 'Where's Shelby?' thread. LOL)
I'll sure join in and give my thoughts after I watch the episode. See you then! :D

Nope. This was a filler episode and nothing more. Clark wanting to be normal again after wanting this 150000000 times was a total waste of time.

Sure, I loved it. It was fun for Chloe, Lois, Clark, and even Green Arrow (Scoring Zatanna's digits). What's not to love about that?

We are indeed back on track. Watch Tower is online. Chloe is the best sidekick ever.
If a couple of references to Chloe's marital problems were left out, episodes 11-16 could never be mentioned again and the unknowing would never know the difference. So, I'm going to say baby steps.

I follow a similar motto, the Clana arc just didn't happen in my reality

Nope. This was a filler episode and nothing more. Clark wanting to be normal again after wanting this 150000000 times was a total waste of time.
The whole point of it was that he doesn't want to be normal.
And, for me, we're way past the Lana arc now. Bring on "Eternal".

I agree. We saw great interaction between Clark and Lois and Chloe once again tried to move Clark in that direction. It seems that we are indeed escaping the anal enoz but my remaining frustration is that Erica is only in two more episodes or something like that.

So far, so good. :)
Everyone should just forget about episodes #8-13 and #8-14, I feel like they didn't really exist.

Hex was a great episode. Still have the bad taste of the bad past three or four episodes in my mouth, but if they can equal Hex the rest of the season I will be a happy Fanboy.

Thanks to BQM, this episode was great in many ways, imo. A couple of major things which seems to be back on track in my personal views are:
- Clark Kent fully embracing his life being a reporter and a hero.
- Clois relationship is back to square one. = Good friends and colleagues
- Chloe finally found her true calling. The Watchtower.
- Chlark friendship solidified.
Yeah, it looks quite good actually but then why am I still not convinced?
A good writer like BQM can write the script that makes sense in the overall storyline without brushing anything off, imo, which is exactly what he did in this ep. I think he managed to bring the show “back to basics and keep the game on the field”. But can they (i.e. other writers) continue doing so for up-coming episodes? I think it’ll be more clear when the next episode air, b/c it’s such a good opportunity to see what the half of TPTB would write for building up the main arc towards the Season final. So for now, I’ll vote for a ‘baby steps but not enough’.

I think they are moving in the right direction and taking it slow. I expect that it will last through this season and what transpires in the finale will either propel the relationship way forward or signal that we're not ever going to see romantic Clois no matter who has gotten over the events of Bride.

I hope you're right. The writers do not have my full confidence however. If they would burn down the barn I'd feel a lot better.
