Don't wanna post this over there because i don't wanna get in trouble ;) buuutttt...How do we get our smallville brothers and sisters who are not watching Chuck to start. I think there is a great opportunity right here on these forums to get some more crossover viewership b/t chuck and SV and for that matter all the other shows featured here. Especially since some are being cancelled. Personally I think overall there isn't a better show on t.v. (sorry smallville). I'm a fan of both but now that SV is secured for a ninth season its time for me to concentrate on worrying over Chuck's future :rotfl: . Are we allowed to mention or post threads telling people to watch Chuck on other show's threads I wonder? Alas I live in Toronto and apparently Canadians don't count in the U.S. ratings which is a shame because I tell everyone to watch this show (and I know millions of people:rotfl:) but I know it won't mean much unless our U.S. counterparts tune in (hint, hint). I think NBC has probably already decided whether season 3 will happen so unless ratings are dramatically higher or lower from now until the finale, the rest of the shows this season may not count in their decision so this would really be contingent on them getting to season 3:(. I guess I'm hoping it could work like a multilevel marketing scheme where we tell everyone to tell 5 others to watch who themselves each get 5 others to watch etc . Anyone know what we are allowed to do on K-site in terms of pimping other shows? Any other ideas? I really think chuck needs at least 4 seasons if not 5 to tell a really well planned out story for chuck and sarah et al. Come on NBC do we really need another hour of talk shows with jay leno at ten, especially since he 'retired' from the tonight show WTH! Poor Conan...shafted...

You have good ideas. I've also gotten loads of people to start watching Chuck. I put comments about Chuck on my facebook status as well. On these boards I have an avatar that advertise chuck as well.

What I really think would bring in new readers is to write a Chuck/Smallville crossover fan fiction. Preferably a Chlark fanfiction with lots of glistening eyes and thumping hearts. That would surly expose hundreds of new fans to Chuck. Maybe Chuck could see Clark and flash on him - learn all about his super powers and all that, and then he and Sarah could go to the Daily Planet to find him. Meanwhile Clark and Chloe are together under a desk.... anyway. You get the picture.

I would so love to read a fic like that.

Because of when my classes end on Mondays, I rarely get to see a full episode of Chuck, and I have to play catch up on Hulu most of the time. And I don't have a Nielsen box, so my TV watching doesn't count much anyways.

As for a crossover fic, I'm not sure if there would draw too many new viewers. I was always under the impression that people were drawn to crossover fics when they like both shows already. Also, personally I'm not that big on crossover fanfics. I like to keep things within their own universe if you know what I mean.

I agree, actually. I tend to find crossovers confusing if I don't know all the characters so I don't read them if I don't know all the shows involved. I think the last time I tried, it was a Doctor Who/X-Men story. I'd never even heard of DW at the time, so I kept wondering why the author was so darn lazy that they couldn't even bother to look up the main character's name. :p This was many years ago...

I think the best way to get people to watch Chuck is just to tell them how much fun and how overall awesome it is. It's one of the few shows that I watch that I love all of the characters on the show. Even characters like Captain Awesome and Elly, who you don't see much (though I still crack up at "words taste like peaches!"), I think they're flushed out very well and I love them.

Or you could do what I do. I just hooked a friend on Chuck by first getting her to crush on Adam Baldwin (oh, like that's hard!) and then subtly flinging a Chuck DVD in her direction, promising lots of yummy Adam Baldwin-ness in it. Worked for her!

:rotfl:Did you show them the last half of Angel Season 5 first? :p. For me, that doesn't really work. I mean, I find Eliza Dushku attractive, but I really tried hard to get into Tru Calling, but I just lost interest after awhile.

I haven't seen it myself. But I did show them Firefly. I love that Casey is a somewhat smarter and slightly nicer Jayne.

You may also want to point them towards Superman: Doomsday because Adam Baldwin is Superman in that :p

Yeah, it's animated. I have a 2-disc version of the DVD.

Heres a trailer you hear adam talking at the end of the trailer but to know what the movie's about you need to see the whole trailer or better yet just go get a copy of the movie. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3keuiWzY-Q

I'm a big fan of Chuck! If anyone asks (& people don't really ask very often) what my favorite show is, I would probably still say Smallville, but I think I might actually like Chuck better. Having Scott Bakula as Chuck & Ellie's dad is the perfect choice, too!

Smallville was my favorite show for so long. But this season just hasn't done it for me. I still watch and everything and probably will until it ends, but Chuck is by far my favorite show.

Actually, you watching the show on Hulu helps more than you realize. NBC is a major backer of Hulu and tracks which of their shows are watched there. So watching Chuck on Hulu is like being a Nielsen house and watching Monday's at 8. Hulu does have a couple of single ad breaks, but they are short. You usually aren't taken out of the show for more than 30 seconds. A small price to pay to get this show renewed. So everyone should catch a second viewing on Hulu, as it will be more effective than a letter writing campaign should they decide not to renew it for a third season.

NBC sponsors Hulu along with Fox. That's the one they watch and count, because they are able to give you a few ads to watch during the showing.

One word...

www.Intersectsite.com

Part of the reason I got into shows like Reaper and Terminator was because I saw that Craig created forums about them here. I don't know if he watches all these shows, but I've noticed most of the shows Craig has raved about are shows I can easily get into.

Craig!!! HEEEEELLLLLLLPPPP!

Since it looks like the TPTB are nixxing Knight Rider (not a surprise, I lost interest after they killed of Alex Torres and Graiman) and Terminator (which is horrifying considering how good it has gotten) can we get an Intersectsite.com? Puhhhh-leeeeassse?

I'll even help contribute in any way I can! I'll look up spoilers, write reviews, make graphics, whatever it takes!

I know! There isn't one decent site about Chuck on the internet and that's a crime considering how great the show is!

Hopefully Craig considers the idea.

A Chucksite would be sweet But I think Craig will wait to see if its picked up for S3 before he would put the time and effort into creating a new site
