There are always threads about others acting. So how was AM in this episode? I thought she was amazing!

Her acting has always been good, it's the writing from the writers that have been bad lately.

She is so good at sad scenes.

Allison never disappoints me with her performances. Even when the material she's given is pure crap, her acting is always top notch. Tonight was no exception. When she broke down after Jimmy cruelly humiliated her, I lost it.

She was good, then again she's a good actress :)

I did notice how good she was in this, especially the crying scene at the end. You could really feel her akwardness at trying not to cry in the crowded hospital but she couldn't hold it in. Very real.

Although as a character it is a flaw that she doesn't trust/believe her own husband. I might have not been hopped up on morphine but if I thought I saw someone kill and I see my wife out hugging the alleged killer, I'd be a bit ticked too.

Not that I'm the jealous type, but I'm just sayin...

She was rellay great as usual. I loved all of her facial expressions and subtleties. She really did a great job of showing her inner turmoil. Excellent job Allison!

I've always thought AM was a good actress, and I'm going to say that I felt bad tonight when I saw her big eyes crying! She can still look like a little girl when she makes that face, and you just want to reach in and give her a hug! I can't say

The only time I didn't like her performance was in Power, but that episode was the worst of all time, so everyone (except Tess) was off in it.

I thought she was really flat tonight. I definitely wasn't feeling her in the scenes with Jimmy. If she was supposed to be worried about her recovering husband, thats not what came across on my screen. And her scenes with Davis felt a bit like she was trying too hard. Her scenes with Clark were more comfortable, but the content and her dialogue in those scenes was terribly annoying, IMO.

I think Mack was fantastic. Loved her interactions with SW. They were at the top of their game! AA is also noteworthy in this episode.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there. If you've watched the show at all (from season 1 or season 8) you couldn't say that her acting is awful. IMO she adds to the show. She's just had crappy lines but even with those lines she still did some good acting. Just saying..:\

Personally,i didn't like her in the hospital scene with Davis.I felt it dragged for too long and the tears were a bit forced. But that's just me.

I agree. The only thing she is really good at is playing classic Chloe. Thatīs natural and believable. But each time she does something out of her usual character, it doesnīt convince me because it feels kind of forced.

As much as I like AM for being a nice girl, her acting strikes me as overrated by many.

She acted beautifully in my opinion, espcially in the break-up scene with Jimmy. She managed to go from being wary to shocked to uncomfortable and then heartbroken.

Great as always.. you can see in her face the doubts, fear, sadness, tension and discomfort that she's feeling during the episode..

I thought her acting was pretty awesome. She may have seemed a little more subdued in her scenes with Jimmy, but I think that was a little natural under the circumstances. She was concerned about him, but also for his sanity with the way that Davis was framing him out to be some sort of hallucinating druggie. I'm not sure she really knew how to behave around her husband anymore, considering all that they'd been through ever since the wedding.

But once again, Allison Mack's acting shows one of its greatest strengths -- in the subtlety she's able to show and the great emotional range. Her conversation with Clark at the beginning was so comfortable, laid back, and warm, like we've come to expect from good Chlark scenes. The one at the end felt a little tense, and you could see from the forced smiles and such that she wasn't being totally up front with Clark, or with herself. And then, when she was so worried earlier and was pouring her heart out to Davis, and later, when she was trying to make Jimmy stay and he ripped her apart the way she did... wow. Unbelievable.

It's a wonder I didn't start sobbing when it showed her crying, gazing out the window during the end-of-episode montage...
