Davis's Story Tonight

Did you enjoy how much Davis was involved with tonight's episode?
Do you like the direction he is headed in?
I really liked what they have done with his character tonight.
I thought it was interesting and had alot of depth to it.
It kept me guessing, and wanting more, and that is an element that I love about Smallville, but don't always get.
I am stoked for the rest of the season.

I agree with you Bre. I'm stoked for the rest of the season. I would never have predicted that something this fun would come out of the Linda Lake killing. Oh it was just great.

Did you enjoy how much Davis was involved with tonight's episode? I don't know if I always need this much of Davis. I felt that the amount of Davis tonight was good though. I really want more Clark/Davis as the season goes on. I think Chloe/Davis can take more and more of a back seat as the episodes continue.

Do you like the direction he is headed in? Uh... I dunno. This is Smallville. They can kill momentum pretty quickly. But I enjoyed tonight's episode. I felt that they justified Davis going to Chloe for help in the future very well by having her touch calm "the beast".

Yeah, I thought Davis did a solid job in this episode. For the most part, the writing for most characters was pretty solid aside from what they did with Chloe.

I haven't liked Davis much previously but I thought he was great in this episode. Very interesting storyline, and Chloe is the thing that can keep Doomsday from coming out? I see awesome in our future.

But they really should've picked a different actor if they wanted to make killing not seem like the hottest activity on earth :lol: Seriously I missed half of the things happening cause all I could do was stare at SW :p

It was definitely a Davis/Chloe centered episode and I always want more Clark than anyone else and am not thrilled with shows that have less Clark.
But Davis is playing the most formidable foe of Superman- and I suspect- has not much longer to be on the show. So,let's forgive him for having some time devoted to him.
Besides SW, does a superb job!
But, also, it would be better to see more Clark!!!!!

I've always liked Davis, and felt for him because he had dedicated his life to saving others.. and that made his descent into "Doomsday" tragic. However, although I am enjoying SW's acting, this episode took away one of the reasons I liked him. Instead of putting others first, he started harming/killing others, in order to cover up his secret. Never mind that in most cases his form of punishment did not match the crime; a drunk driver is at the most guilty of manslaughter, not premeditated murder, and a thief is guilty of burglary. Neither deserves death. I was uncomfortable with his rationalization that his victims are "evil" and deserved what they got. And when he injected Jimmy... that was beyond wrong... the guy was recovering from chest injuries and internal bleeding.. and he stuck a needle full of a hallucinogen into him. Whoops.

Still, despite my dip in sympathy for his character, I am interested in knowing what else happens to him.

I haven't liked Davis since I first saw him because from the very beginning he has changed Chloe for the worst.

How about from now on LESS Davis and MORE DOOMSDAY. Davis Bloom is just such a whiney and annoying character... "I was sent to this planet to kill Clark..." Give me a break! Maybe after "Eternal" I'll feel differently, but up until now, its not likely.

I love Davis' character and I like what they did with his character but I would loved to have seen an entire episode devoted to it.

I didn't like Davis in the episode AT ALL.
I'm usually not bothered by him, but in this episode he really angered me.

i like the doomsday plotline i just wish we got more doomsday and less davis trying to hold back. but i like how davis even tho he thinks he is doing good the kills make doomsday stronger.

yeah Davis' story line was pretty good, I feel sorry for him and for his destiny =(
