I can't believe it's taken me this long to read this book. I encourage anyone with a good sense of humor to pick this up. It's by Larry Doyle, a former writer for The Simpsons and Bevis & Butthead. The book is in the vein of teen comedies such as American Graffiti. The plot is about a nerdy kid giving his speech at his high school graduation where he confesses his love for the popular girl, Beth Cooper who doesn't know he even really exists. While gaining the attention of Beth Cooper, he's also gained the attention of her army boyfriend, Kevin. The book covers one night with Dennis, his best friend who is questioning his sexuality, Richard, Beth, her two friends making up "The trinity" as they escape Kevin's wrath.

The basic plot description does no justice to the story. It's lol funny and I don't usually find books funny. It's been made into a film and it's going to be released in July, starring Hayden Pettiere (sp? the cheerleader from Heroes)
