Fan Art Challenge Round #147: Reach for the Stars! - Wallpapers Multi-Fandom Challenge
Intro:
The theme of this challenge is very simple. We will use astronomy images in our fan art wallpapers to enhance or add textures, lights, and color. You can use pictures of stars, planets (including Earth), moons, galaxies, nebulae, deep space objects or anything else in space as seen in the image galleries linked below.
To limit our resources, you must use astronomy pictures from one of these six websites.

Rules
Image Choice:
As stated above the main rule for this challenge is that you must use at least one astronomy image from the sites posted above.
All other pictures, screen caps, promotional images and episode stills from any TV show or movie of your choice is allowed. There is no list of TV shows this time - you may use any shows, movies, or actors of your choice. This is a "free-for-all" challenge. Art from shows that have forums here on KryptonSite (http://www.kryptonsite.com/) such as Smallville, Heroes, Supernatural, Terminator and Lost, will probably get more attention and possibly votes but you're not limited to using these shows.
Please do not use tabloid or paparazzi pics for this challenge.
All graphics and photo manipulations must be original for this challenge.
Entries:
You may post as many graphics as you wish to post on the challenge thread, just remember only one or maybe two will be put in the final poll for people to vote on. (See "Awards.")

Dimensions/Sizes:
Any of the following small, medium, and large wallpaper sizes (in pixel size/desktop
resolutions)
1. 640x490
2. 800x600
3. 1024x768
4. 1125x864
5. 1280x960
Suggestion: Try to keep your entries' file sizes under 1 MB so people can view them easily even on slower web connections.

Dates: February 20 - April 7 2009
The final poll should be posted by April 2, 2009.
Awards:
At the end of the challenge FotW or her helper will post a poll. The poll can include up to ten items. The poll will include only two entries per person (if space allows) or FotW will chose one entry per person to be voted on. The poll will determine first and second place (and if there are enough entries third place & one or two mod's choice awards will be given).
In addition, all participants will receive a commemorative graphic for participating in the challenge - this round the participation graphic will be made by (TBA - now taking volunteers!).

Rules for Posting Your Entries On Challenge Thread (Please read because this is different than our usual challenges). Please note that all entries must follow these guidelines as well as the challenge specifics posted above or they will not qualify for the final poll or for any awards - thank you:
#1. Please post a title with your art work and the name of the TV series, characters or
actors on it.
Optional: You also may write a sentence or two, or three about what you created and and the idea behind it.
#2. You may post credits for resources (brushes, textures but do not directly link to other fan sites as per K-Site rules).
#3. Special rules for photo manipulations (such as face or body transfers etc) only - please post at least one of your "base" images so that we can see what changes you have made to the original.
#4. As always our rule for all challenges applies - all images entered must abide by
KryptonSite's forum rules for posting in the K-Site Forums.

2. A question to FotW.
3. Positive feedback on posted graphics.
4. No random chat or unkind criticisms.
#4 means, please try not to post any random chat on the challenge thread about the shows etc. Please try to limit any replies to discussion of the posted graphics.
It'd be nice if the thread becomes like a "showcase" of graphics instead of a regular discussion thread.
Please always post this info with your graphics:
1. Title of piece.
2. TV Show, Movie or Actors' Name
3. Entry for Poll? Yes or No.
