15 hours left here on the East Coast...
If you want the show to have a second season, now might be the last chance to watch and boost those ratings up. So, watch the show, and count down and talk about the episode here! Would love to have some more LIVE discussion going on. :)

Hey guys,
Only my second posting around here. I live in Uruguay, South America, so I can't help with the ratings, but I'm definitely supportive.
I've seen all the eps, and the last few have been a huge improvement of the first 10 or so.
I really want a second season for KR!
I was reading the thread from last week's ep, and I saw a comment from a poster. He said he'd love to see a multi-ep with the Hoff and Bruening with both KITT's. I thought that was an amazing idea!
Although, last I remember from the MFTV movie, pieces of the original KITT were in Graiman's garage.
Either way, great site, and I LOVE THE SHOW!!!
KR ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It just ended here. Once again this was an episode that had the feel of the original. I really loved that they finally gave KIT the "Knight" liscense plate. I'd seen "KR" in attack mode and other ramdom plates, but I don't think I saw "Knight" yet. That was definitely a great thing to see even if it was only in one scene. The Zen comments throughout were pretty funny. KITT and Michael had some great moments again. The green "sensor sweep" was interesting. I also liked how they had the CO2 be behind KITT headlight. That was a nice effect.
There was really only a few downsides, and one was not as bad. Just like last episode I don't like KITT having machine guns. It just seems completely contrary to his programming. The next one is minor, and I'll admit it's mostly because I'm a huge fan of the original, but this episode had Michael ask for KITT's help. Why couldn't he have actually said "KITT I need you". I know it's minor, but I want to hear the actual line followed by KITT actually driving to get him.
Still overall it wasn't bad. It does still seem to get better with each episode. It just needs a few tiny tweeks to be perfect.

Well, I'm not into the bar scene myself, so tonight's episode seemed rather "off" to begin with IMO. I liked the general storyline, although I was rather miffed that they keep treating premarital sex as expected and appropriate (I believe it to be neither). I did enjoy the comedic timing between Zoe & Billy, and the same with Mike and KITT as well. the barfights were good, and the effects were impressive.
I didn't really care for the Eastern spirituality angle, and I'm glad they kept it to a minimum. The character of Sarah seemed "under-used", too; I don't know if that was just the writing or what. Overall, this episode gets a 8/10 in my book.

I'm in the process of watching the episode on DVR, so I'm about 20 minutes in, but my thoughts so far.... 1, why couldn't Alona Tal have been the female lead on KR? She is so awesome.. .no offense to Deanna... but I just really like Alona a lot.
And, again, I feel like any characters beyond Mike are extraneous. I don't care about him much when he's always calling back to home base where Sarah inevitably gets jealous, and Billy and Zoe act silly. Every. Single. Time.
The episode LOOKED good. And overall was better than some have been. And some of the guest stars beyond Alona were great - I loved seeing Chris Ellis, and a plump Zachery Ty Bryan.
I also wonder if the writers of new KR were doing an homage or directly ripping off the bit with the thugs trying to break into KITT.
But then finally, I have an inherent problem with this episode that I've had with the series in general - what was the point in "killing" Mike Traceur when everyone from his past ends up seeing him alive again? They missed a good opportunity to recast in the first new episode by giving him a new face. This Michael Knight really isn't "a man who does not exist."
I hate to sound like an old fogey, but this really isn't up to the standards of the original Knight Rider. KR was ALWAYS cheesy and never Emmy-winning, but at least back in the day, it was a lot more fun, and all it took was a guy with a perm and sunglasses and his Trans Am.

I will say this now that I've seen more: I LOVED THE SIDEWAYS TURBO BOOST. Why can't the show always be that good?

Yeah, she could be a nice addon. Great part.

It felt like an homage more than a ripp-off, and about that sideways turbo-boost (whitch was great effect BTW), this felt like a "wanted" car-flip-over-police-cars-and-landing-on-bus kinda ripp-off.
Overall, nice continuation of a cooled-down, down to earth remainder of the series. I'm really hoping for a renewal to a complete season.

I'm not sure if I'd call the guys breaking a rip off or homage, but I did like that. It made me think of the original pilot I think.;the one where the two guys ended being dropped off(ejected really) at the police station.

I quite enjoyed this episode! Mike telling KITT he screamed like a little girl when they did the sideways turbo-boost was pretty funny..although I don't know why KITT would do that! A few things bothered me though. I guess bothered is not the word...a few things made me go Hmmmmmm. First was the green sensor sweep, WTF! What is the point of KITT having the red scanner on the front? What does that one scan for then if green beams shoot out of his bumper? Does the green one just scan for gases and stuff. Maybe the red scans building interiors. I don't know, I just found it odd and a little irritating. Also, the handheld one Mike had...what the hell was that? If KITT and all related technology are supposed to be so top-secret why would Mike walk casually down the sidewalk with some crazy green lazer shootin' contraption. If I saw someone with something like that I would be thinking WTF is that!!
The second thing that bothered me was the ammo and miniguns. KITT said he only had seven/eight seconds of cover fire for Mike...1. It takes 2-3 seconds to get into KITT from where Mike was standing. 2. Why didn't KITT use his tranq-darts instead of live ammo? 3. I don't know why KITT running out of ammo while being chased was such a problem for them. He could have used his laser, micro-jam, EMP etc. They are putting far to much emphasis on guns and firepower. The original MK never carried a gun. I would think in todays times with the amount of gun problems we have, why would they put so much stock into being armed and using weapons? The beauty of the original KR was the fact that the Hoff always got the job done using brains, brawn, big shades and perm, tight jeans, big belt buckle, a too small "pleather" jacket and a Kick-Ass Trans-Am! They could handle any situation without having to shoot at people with two huge mini-guns! They need to lose the guns and concentrate more on Brains and KITTS non-lethal capabilities. I know he doesn't kill people and only uses his guns as cover fire, but I am sure KITT could come up with other solutions.
I still loved the epi though. I love the dynamic between Zoe and billy and it took me a while to warm up to them, but I have to say I think they are pretty funny and play well off each other. Zoe's comments about about being Billy's boss were pretty good.
Mike and KITT have a funny rapport and I think this show will only continue to improve. I am glad they have dialed down the gratuitous sex and those two thugs trying to break into KITT were awesome!! I was a huge fan of the original KR and was a child of the
80's. Every epi had KITT befriending a dog, or scaring a bum, or fending off thieves. This was a great addition to this epi and I hope they continue to do things like that. This whole episode had a huge "cheese" factor going for it. That is why I loved this epi and that is also why I loved the origial KR. Keep up the good work but lose the weapons.
BTW- Tim "The Tool Man" taylor's son Brad needs to dial back on the cheeseburgers. He is not fat by any means, but I could not believe how chubby his head was! It made me laugh when Brad Taylor beat the hell out of Mike. Mike can take a lot of punishement, so why did one punch from a chubby punk like Brad Taylor cause him to black out? And it was a few minutes after the fight too, which I thought was kinda strange.
OFF TOPIC-Why are all my favorite shows using Home Improvement alumni as villians. Smallville used Randy Taylor. KR used Brad Taylor. What next...Jill Taylor as an assasin on Heroes or Al Borland as the flannel wearing, bearded wonder as an addition to the Justice league? Maybe They could put that guy from over the fence where you only saw his eyes in the Fortress of Solitude as a Kryptonioan advice giver. Just my two cents.
Peace Out Beotches!!

Zachery Ty Bryan also guest-starred in an early episode of "Smallville" as Eric Marsh, a high-school sports jock who inhaled liquid Kryptonite. His "Home Improvement" co-star Earl Hindman ("Wilson") died in 2003.
Oh, and for older TV buffs, Patricia Richardson ("Jill Taylor") appeared in a memorable episode of "Quantum Leap", as the owner of a late-1950s radio station.

OMG...I totally forgot about that episode of Smallville, you're right. Now that I think of it, his head wasn't fat in that episode!
Wilson is dead:(. that's too bad. This is in poor taste I know but I wonder... at his wake, was only the top eight inches of his casket was open?
I was a huge fan of Quantum Leap, that show was awesome. I can't say I remember that particular episode but I am sure I saw it as I never missed one when it was on. I love Scott Bakula and always though Dean Stockwell was pretty funny on that show.
I hope my next leap is the leap to the dinner table...I'm freakin' starvin'!

aaaah the old feeling of the series is finally sinkin in. Like Antithesis i also noticed the KNIGHT numberplate. Good to have it. But also the 2 car thieves were a nod to the old series. Here is hoping for season 2. Who knew KITT could scream like a girl....
and especially for spiderpunk... Watch out for Wilson the neighbor in Terminator: the toolman chronicles

I was a huge fan of Quantum Leap, that show was awesome. I can't say I remember that particular episode but I am sure I saw it as I never missed one when it was on.That story was called "Good Morning, Peoria", and it was the sixth episode of Season 2.

This episode was quite good, even though I couldn't stand the scenes between Billy and Zoe. Too much time was spent on them.
I do have a question, though: what's up with KITT's license plate? It said KNIGHT at the beginning of the episode, but at the end it said 77KR117. Can't they decide on one and stick to it?

I loved the last episode, this one is ok... but I agree the sideway turbo-boost kicked rear bumper.
the thugs breaking into car stuff is great. I mean how can you not have people trying to break into a smart car? it's not a rip off, that's just a given. You know at some point they'd do that bit. It's a nod, but not really. Because KITT really was zen through and through. The thug was blow from the car because of underground gas, not because of KITT. KITT had all the power to punish the thugs, but he didn't do a thing. Besides from telling them to step away, he didn't interact with them at all. Which is something not seen in the old Knight Rider.
Just want to point that out, because it is different from the old show.
But, I have a BIG problem with this episode.
So fat Zachery Ty Bryan killed Sonny, and tried to force the girl off the bar so he can have the millions of dollars worth of natural gas. And Mike's solution was.... have the girl call him over and beat him up?
That's it? beating him up solves the problem? really? when it comes to plots, aside from last week's fake plane down episode (which had it's own minor flaws ), the writing is still a bit too horrendous for my taste...

I have to say I'm really happy with the changes to this show. Yes there are a few things I'm still nit-picky about but overall it is finally starting to have the same feeling the original had. I loved the bit with the two guy's trying to steal KITT this week and to me it did feel like an homage to the orginal pilot which I really enjoyed, actually I would have liked to see it go a little further. Also was that the guy from Pass Time (On the Speed channel) as one of the potential theives? However, I do have to say I found the story a little lacking in the fact that is was completely predictable, who didn't know who the bad guy was two seconds after he appeared on screen and basically get the whole plot from there (and as someone else stated the whole beat him up as the climax was weak although I think Mike passed out because he got hit over the head with a beer bottle not because he got punched). However the chemistry between Mike and KITT, the turbo boost, the two theives and all the other little moments that I liked completely saved the ep for me. From what I have seen the last few weeks this show definately deserves to finish the season and as far as I'm concerned should get a second season as well.
My only real gripe with the show right now (which was thankfully lacking this week) is that KITT still transforms into the stupid truck. Every time it happens I yell at the damn television and it takes me right out of the story. (But I guess I'm just going to have to live with it.)

I'm just starting to settle into this now - and off my screen it goes!
Ireally hope we get a second season, because it really deserves one. I'm starting to get the old show's 'vibe' back, and suddleny after all these years I'm realizing how much I've missed it!

I wonder what they will do with the last episode of the series. Maybe we will see Hasselhoff from the original series, or maybe it will end up like "smallville"....something happens at the end of the series and then continues in the first episode of the second series, or maybe thats just me.

I think arsenalfan likes the word "series" a lot! I think a few of those could have been substituted for the word "season";o) I know, I know, now I am just being a d!ck aren't I? But I do agree with you buddy...This show has improved in the last few episodes and I truly hope the Hoff makes an appearance at some point in the show. This series is a good series and should be a series that seriously has more series ending with cliffhangers that will be carried on from the next series and also have single series arcs that wrap up the series story by the end of that particular series. I like to watch this series while eating cereal and I like to seriously contemplate the series and compare it to the original series that was a seriously wicked series in my serious opinion, seriously;o)
Peace out BEEEOOOTCHES;o)
BTW hansioux, it looks like the dog in your avatar is going to barf or something...I hope that deck is pressure treated!
