See I think we need episodes that explain things rather than have them all action all the time. It was needed IMO.

i think hiro and ando should probably team up with at least one other hero. they make a good team, but andos power is essentially useless without another hero

The episode was needed to explain different things and it was nice for once not to have an episode that bombards you with only action and no visible plot

I loved it, it seems they moved the story along quite well.

It's a 5 for me. The episode was overall boring. Good thing they had some Sylar scenes in there or else this would of been a 1.

No, I really disliked this episode. The only reason I gave it a 5 was because of Sylar. If the rest of the show would of been just as good, it would of been a 10.

I agree, I thought it was badass. Sylar was so AWESOME and COLD!!! I missed Peter though and the others but I LOVED the ending. lol It was bada**.

I give it a 2, maybe 3. Only because that Adam guy was really cute and...uh...dang, I guess because Mohinder and Peter showed up at the end when I thought they wouldn't be in this episode at all and the ending was good.
So, boring episode. I was actually waiting for it to be over with, isn't that sad? *yawns*
I think a big part of it is that annoying kid hanging around Sylar. I get annoyed every time they have a scene. Sylar does not need a sidekick!!
Hiro's little subplot sucked. Save a wedding all so you can figure out you don't really need your powers? (which, IMO, he does need otherwise he's not half as cool/endearing!) Boring and really, I don't know, weak.
No Matt, Mohinder or Peter until the end of the episode. I need my Mohinder fix each week! Need! He's too pretty to not see every Monday! (Unless there's a rerun, of course, then I can wait.) And now that I've fallen for Peter, I now need to see him too. When niether of them is in an episode, it's not good for me. :(
And Matt is just cool.

Gave it a 1. Don't take it hard :P. Just that it's the worst episode I think in the past 3 seasons. Like what a lot of people said it was boring and worst of all it was just confusing, in the term of "What the I don't understand why the writers did that". I stated what's confusing and the other stuff on other threads lol but yeah to sum things up: I think they screwed up the Hiro + Ando+India trip, spent too much time on Claire this whole season and yet they did some more lol. Anyway normally I would probably rate this a 3 just because Sylar scenes were pretty good/above average like usual but since this is the worse episode I've seen I'm giving this a 1. Really looking forward in the next episode that's where things get heated (Peter +Matt + Mohinder vs HRG) some truth will be told!!
P.S Wow didn't expect a lot of 10's.... aw come on really? Be honest!! XD

You know, Mini Wolfsbane, I should of given it a 1 too, but felt the Sylar scenes kept it at least a level 5. :p
And I know, what's up with all of the 10's this was probably one of the worst episodes of the season and they're giving it a 10. Come on guys? :p

Oh, here's something funny: Until I came on here tonight, I thought this episode was just called "Building". I didn't even see the 26 at the end in the opening.
I was like "Hmm. That's an odd name for an episode. Well, if that's what they
want to call it, whatever. Does it have something to do with relationships?
Like building blocks or something?"
Hahaha!

I was just being a dork, I wouldn't actually seriously think it was about building relationships.

This episode was everything that the episodes have been lacking. Smart thinking and quick decisions. Every one of the heroes were thinking on their feet for most of the ep and i am hardly a fanboy (seeing as how im 24 and in the mental health care profession) But the episode changed up alot of things that needed to be changed. I love how claire finally told her mom the truth and how sandra threw his a$$ out. I liked that Claire actually helped someone and stood up to noah without feeling bad about it 5 mins later. Plus i liked the story of the guy at the comic book store and i think i detect something between the two fugitives...maybe not love but a strong friendship is quite possible. The sylar story was kinda unexpected...i really thought he left the kid at the diner. And the ending has been coming since like ep 3 of the first season when HRG drugged matt but that didn't stop it from being any cooler and lastly i like when they have one or two stories going on instead of five or six...having all the stories connected would be a dream come true but at least everyone's story is kinda entwined. I like the ep as it is and can't wait for more. Besides was this ep really worse than any of the first eps in season one...or worse than truth & consequences from season 2 (or any ep from season 2) people are being so hard on this show but to date it is the best supernatural/thriller/comedy/action/horror/serial show that is out there. can't wait for next week (and the week after that and so on.)

I don't think it was boring either. I did think the Claire parts were boring except when HRG was involved.
I liked Sylar being Sylar and liked the ending. I dislike Nathan more and more every episode though.

I liked the Sylar Scenes also. The problem I have is that the majority of this is episode was a waste of time on Claire's relationship with Noah and Hiro + Ando going to India to stop a wedding. and Peter,Matt, and Mohinder only getting two seconds.

I was really diggin' this episode. I think the Sylar and sidekick relationship is genius and will really let us get to know sylar better and get inside his mind. He's usually alone and it's nice seeing him interact with a friend type character. I'm happy that this ep. was more plot and story driven then recent episodes. And it's also nice to focus on someone besides Peter and his gang.
I think it's a step in the right direction after Vol. 3. Bu who knows? Maybe all of us that r giving it a 10 r grading on a curve =)

This episode was just annoying.
They say to be continued, but they don't pick up where they left off, do they? No, they start who knows how many days later, and then totally focus on a different plot all together. Maybe this episode had some points in it that actually mattered, but most of it was just pointless.
Like Daphne, she died in the last episode. So, can they please, at least, spend one second on explaining what happened to her? Or, Peter, Matt and Mohinder can they spend 3 seconds on explaining how they got out of the desert? Of course not.

It gets a 1/10 only because of the Sylar escape scene in the dinner.

I just watched the replay of it and I liked it. I give it a 8/10. I noticed that Claire's boyfriend from last season, West, is nowhere to be found and she's not making any attempt to warn him that they are taking people with powers..

The TBC line it's just a Heroes trademark. That have been since episode 1 on season 1. Also as for Peter , Matt and Mohinder...that have been a waste of time. I mean, Peter has Nathan's power right now right? I don't know, imo they don't have to explain everything.

I gave it a 4. I'm getting sick of the Claire angle. She's just starting to be annoying with her teenage rebel act. They really need to go ahead and lock her up to get her out of the way. As the Hunter said, she's running out of free passes.

Just a speculation but I don't think Daphne died, something that important they MUST show that properly lol. But if you really want to know the answer you can always check the cast lists or spoiler page. Not saying that I did incase I ruin the story for anyone but that is if your curious :).

I don't fully agree. The thing that Heroes lacking from season 1 is more explanation episodes rather than quick assumptions that the readers are suppose to catch but really never do lol. Don't start me with time manipulation that power has a dozen holes and I don't know what were suppose to assume so that's maybe why they took that power out. But things like how the heck did Arthur really died? Are we suppose to assume that he really was powerless the time Peter shot Arthur even though Arthur telekinetically cut him and let's not forget Sylar using TK as well since we know Hatian usually set his power to deliberately make no one around to use their power for example the scene with Daphne + Hiro they both lost their power in the presence of Hatian. Stuff like these could use an explanation, but I'm sure there are lots more to add that they should of went in dept with, especially when it comes down to killing a Cast off those things the writers need to be cautious about what assumptions we viewers need to make based on what they told us how the powers work. There are times where they do use the assumption right so they don't need to show scenes or go in dept with it i.e. they dont need to explain that Angela or someone with high authority told a lot of things about Sylar and people's powers to Nathan who's capturing these people with a lot of knowledge towards them. We both know Nathan never met Sylar nor was he ever mention about what power he has, but we can assume since Angela is around, he got all or a lot of the information from her.
P.S. So they don't really need to explain what's Peter current power it's really not that important but we viewers can assume he currently has the flying ability and nothing else right now. But atleast the writers did explain the current power of Peter according to Peter lol.

Yeah, at the time I said that, I was just really annoyed. I still think this episode was a total waste of time, though. The useless Hiro plot and all the stuff they did with Claire, just boring.
I was just expecting a lot more. Maybe more information on Peter and the situation he's in. And as for Daphne, I don't read spoilers so I wouldn't know if she's dead. And I also don't want to read spoilers. I just want the show to just be clear, and explain things.
I just really hope the next episode tells us something.
Seyee
02-22-2009, 03:29 AM
Yeah it should. I read spoilers time to time usually only when the writers didn't do a good job portraying what they wanted the viewers to see so gotta see in writing what they meant lol if the answer is there, or when it would be explained. Looking forward in the next episode wonder how things going to be with all 3 of them there lol vs HRG.

Seyee, you're right. I totally forgot about the comic online. My mistake ;) In fact I posted not while ago because someone was complaining about the same thing and I explainned that they tell some things with the graphic novel and not in the show. TBH that annoys me a little too sometimes.
Though I still think that they don't have to explaing everything single thing. I mean, like you said, they have been making that since season one, it's not really weird that they are still doing that.
But deaths or disappearances? now that I would like to know. Micah's cousin, Arthur, Wireless, Peter's girlfriend or Charlie! (wth happened to Charlie?)
Knowing the writers I wouldn't be surprise if they never mention Daphne at the show again (if she's really dead that's it)

heroes is one of the best shows on tv right now ,with smallville beginning to whine down to the final show, all the dum reality shows out there and all the csi ,boston legal and court room shows there isn't alot of good sci fi tv out there and i am tired of everyone hating on heroes. frist of all last season was great, even thou they had to scrapp the whole 2nd part of the season cause of the strike they still pulled out an awesome season.2nd a lot of people watch an episode here and there and miss some and have the nerve to say to doesn't make sence. heroes is the type of show you cant miss one show or your lost.like a comic book thats what makes it great.and before you judge one episode good or bad you got to take the season as a whole because you may not know the reason for an action in one show until 5 shows later, then it makes sence. rating are dropping on this great show cause people want instant gradificion. why not sit back and see where the show takes us.dark angel and tru callings left us hanging for the same reason . I LOVED THIS EPISODE AND EVERY EPISODE BEFORE IT and cant wait to see where its going just hope the haters dont mess it up for us by jumping off to soon!!!!!
