Not only was this episode a verifiable STINKER (except for Clark's "Kryptonite veins" during the "touching" kiss - go, Season 1!), but I'm sitting there thinking that nobody ever resolved the fact that the Lana that's running around being all super is merely a clone from Season 6-22: "Phantom". I seem to remember that her Jeep blew up right around Reeve's Dam, and there was some kind of weak switcheroo explanation early in Season 7 that didn't wash, but then the issue was dropped (what? no dental records? No X-Ray scan of her by Clark?).
Anyway, all that to say this: nothing personal against KK, but GOOD RIDDANCE to Lana once and for all: the super storyline did NOTHING to enhance the storyline this season (unless you want to count the Prometheus experiment -- which looked a lot like the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" trailer, by the way ). So, she's a walking Kryptonite-meter w/superpowers . . . good for her. Now maybe Clark can focus on Lois and her goodies, instead of being distracted by tired-@ss Lana whenever she feels like popping up in Smallville. What she needs to do is go find Pete and get that relationship poppin', like in the comics. The whole "star-crossed lovers" leitmotif that has been played out since Season 3 should be put to bed once and for all (and to think -- all this angst and adventure over some Lex-created clone. Payback is a mo'fo!)!
