Worst possible endings for tonights episode:

1. Lana dies, and Clark rebounds with Lois, so we never truly feel that he wants to be with her.

2. Lana gets infected with kryptonite and tells Clark that because he now gets sick every time he gets near her they cannot be together, so Clark lets Lana go and again chooses Lois simply because he cannot be with Lana.

Best possible endings:

1. Having been pushed to far by Lex, Lana decides she has to kill him, Clark stops her and
tells her she isn't the woman he fell in love with, and tells her to leave and that he no longer wants to be with her, Clark now realizes that Lois is the girl for him.

Through the episode we see Lana and Clark together, and even though it seems they are perfect together, he begins to have doubts and when he sees a picture of Lois he realizes he is in love with her, and at the end of the episode he tells Lana this and she wishes him all the happiness and leaves. 2. But Clark doesn't begin to have doubts because he has already them (in power whatever some say, it is obvious). So he has his doubts which are growing and he makes the right decision. But I can't think he realizes at the same time he is in love with Lois. It is too early. We all know Clark : he is slow lol.
I hope he will make the right choice not because Lana tells him to do like this, not because of events, the decision must come from him.
