Matt sees a vision and then is able draw the future. If he can do that he may be able to get more powers than two in the future. I think it will be awhile if it happens though.

Matt's able to have two abilities because now he has 3 of them...

What's it been now, all season two? Yeah, now that I think about it he has. Makes you wonder if people actually comprehend the show as they watch it, like keep track. Or if they just watch it and say "hahahah he fell" (laughs like peter griffin).

I don't get it. That is the first time I saw him with 2 powers. I saw him see the future once but I thought that was only the side effect of that crap that the guy in the desert made him eat. In this episode he was drawing the future like Issac was.

yeah his power i think they just made it more complicated... Guess it's the writers way of keeping the power to paint /write the future in play so Peter can absorb it. It's a shame that only Sylar was able to take on the government lol I thought maybe Peter, and Matt would have a chance. WTF why is hero in there?!?1 he has no powers.

Yeah they should have given Hiro the power to draw the future. Hiro also went into the desert and saw umbuto. Atleast he would have had something after having time travel taken away.

I think in general they need to completely stay away from anything dealing with time or future. Even this drawing of the future is painting them into a hole.

Matt Parkman started out hearing thoughts. It then got stronger and also allowed him to put suggestions in peoples heads. His second ability which branches off the first one is his ability to go into someone's head mind rape them/lock them inside or enter dreams. This ability with the eyes going white and painting the future was bound to happen in his evolution of abilities. The desert guy gave him the juice to sore higher than an eagle. Which also allowed "Hiro" to do the same thing. I think with Parkman though it enabled his base ability to branch off again into seeing the future. The painting part is just a side effect.

Jigga maybe but it would be a helpful power to have if your on the run from somebody. You would always be one step ahead

scorpwanna What 3 powers are you talking about and how did Matt get them?

his first two abilities are on in the same. When the show first aired he was able to "hear the thoughts of people." That counts as one ability. The second ability was used last season i believe. He started "going into the minds of other people and creating false realities' That is his second ability.

The third is his new foresight ability. But even that might still be temporary.

I don't really agree. Reading thoughts and implanting thoughts are very similar, and can be seen as an evolution of his original power.

Seeing/painting the future is completely different.

I think Bob specifically states Parkman's one and only ability (until the painting thing of course): He controls what the mind controls. Anything that the mind can do, he can control. That means dreams, thoughts, and anything else.

Pretty soon, it'll evolve to control the motor functions (at least I hope so)... He'll be the puppet guy, but cooler and not as spooky looking.

The painting is his second ability.

To answer your question of how he has 2 abilities? Here's my guess and it's totally out there:
If Sylar uses the brain to understand and use other heroes' abilities, why couldn't Parkman do the same? The only difference is Parkman can see into the brain w/o having to physically see it like Sylar does. Maybe that's how Parkman took on the painting thing... or maybe the poop was just that good, I dunno.

I agree that mind control and hearing other peoples thoughts is the same ability.
Hiro is also a member of the poop eating club lol

Hiro is also a member of the poop eating clubLol. Maybe Matt only can use the power because of African Isaac (Usutu), who appeared to him--maybe he's responsible for Matt painting the future. Perhaps he still lives on in some sense, as some sort of ghost/spirit in desperate need of exorcism. heh ("Oh God, why can't I die? I am SO sick of all this poop." lol)

I don't like this at all. What are they doing to this show?

I think it's because Matt ate the hyena dung when he met Usutu.

I'm going to have to agree. Giving Matt a precog ability is cheating. Sure, if he got flashes of the future, maybe even prophetic dreams like Angela, I could get behind it. The drawing the future power should have ended with Issac, and those who absorbed it. It was cool the first season. Annoying the third.

yes Matts new "power" is totally unnecessary in this situacion.
