Count down to the episode's airing and then discuss it LIVE with other fans! :)
Provided it is the episode airing.. .NBC keeps changing things around.
15 hours left here on the West Coast.

Well, I just finished watching the episode a few minutes ago, and I must say I was pleasantly impressed. This had all the makings of a great "Knight Rider": suspense, action, mild drama, subtle comedy...and no sexual garbage to speak of! Yay!!! :D
If the storytelling remains at this level, the series will be an excellent continuation of the original classic; if not, it will Turbo Boost itself straight to television hell.

Yeah!! I think they are finally on the right track here. I am very happy with this weeks episode and am finally excited for more. I like the scaled back cast, I like that they are still ahead of the game with KITT but not everything is quite so easy anymore, like accessing the live satalite feeds. I loved that it wasn't just another big government mission. I liked the pace of the action and the basic plot although I said quite early on that they would disgise the hostages (Mike) as the bad guys, but hey sometimes it's fun to figure it out. I absolutely loved that there was no transformations and the interaction with KITT and the kid was cute and reminded me of vintage Knight Rider,
So in my opinion two thumbs up and hope for more.

yea i agree i like the new direction the show has gone into now. I hope with the change it will help get the show to have a second season. Its nice to have it getting back to the basics like the original show was. The plot was nice and easy, the bankrobbing robbers were good, and the little girl and kitt was good.

Meh, ok episode I guess, not the best. I hated the song used at the start of the episode...awful. The end song wasn't the best either, cheesy (well the end scene was cheesy, so maybe that's it). And speaking of the ending, all quite rushed. I thought it was pretty dumb how just before that woman tumbled down the hill, Mike screamed "No!", but then nothing really happened to her, lol she was fine. Pretty weak. They even did part of her fall (or roll) in slow motion for some reason, I mean what the heck was up with that right. Anyway, I say forget this stuff, give us more "Optimus KARR"/Transformers action, lol...I think it would be great if the Transformers were introduced into the show for real. Optimus Prime can ask KITT to be an "honorary Autobot" for a day. lol And of course, Prime would have a personal axe to grind with Karr, for obvious reasons. (PRIME: "Hey you, this voice isn't big enough for the two of us. Neither is this town." KARR: "Bring it, Prime. Bring it." lol)
Favorite part:
*Zoe and Billy sleeping on couch. Zoe wakes up*
Zoe: Did you just drool on me?
Billy: Maybe a little. *wipes slobber off his face*
Zoe: Ewww! *goes back to sleep*
*Billy feels her up*
*Zoe slaps his hand*
*Billy grunts*

I.. got bored. :(
I think my brain is dead set on what Knight Rider should be, and this is still not it.
Showing the episodes in order might've helped, too.

I liked it. I liked that KITT did almost all of the driving himself. That's one thing that definitely gotten better. I also agree that the interaction between KITT nad Maddie was nice too. I don't remember if I noticed it before, but they seem to be playing parts of the theme throughout the show too. That's another nice touch from the original.

I liked the new intro and the scaled down Cast. The storyline was really interesting,
and I also liked KITT driving himself and protecting other people. It was a good episode.

I liked it this week! I love the scaling down, and I loved all the action at the start because I'm an action junkie.
It did slow a lot towards the end, but working there way into the new stlye - I think its working, if only the public would give it a chance.
And the kid's interaction with KITT? Priceless retro KR moment they need to keep on duplicating to give it the 'feel' it needs.
For me, not perfect, but WAY better than anything else so far.
Go KITT! :)

Nice episode for a mid-season series reboot. Keeping my fingers crossed that NBC will extend the first season to a full 22 episodes (if not more).
And speaking of rebooting, I've made a special edit to the opening, which to me looks a bit jerky and not that great - http://il.youtube.com/watch?v=_uT3STGr5z8 please visit:)

Not a bad editing job, although the sound mixing was a bit choppy at times. I'd give it a 7/10.

I really do like the way the show has progressed. Watched this one a little late(had it stored on my DVR). The show had suspense, a little comedy, and action. The story was good. It reminded me of the classic show and that is a good thing. I was glad to see the ratings went up. I would like to see this show get a second season, now that it seems to have found the direction that it wants to take.
