anyone else think that has to do with Doomsday and Cosmic boy knowing that a epic throwdown is coming Clarks way.

Absolutely. Funny what they are willing to tell him about the future, and what they aren't...
That look gave me chills. I was confused at Clark's reaction though. First he seemed serious and then he seemed like it was just a general warning/advice.

Cos understood the delicate balance of the timestream is not to be messed with if it can be helped. If Clark is fated to die by Doomsday's hand then that is what should happen

I still think they should have gone the comic-book-style mind-wipe route. Not for Clark's sake (that would be a cheap shortcut but in general).

Hilarious!
But yeah, I thought it was about Doomsday, too.
And I agree with the others, I am afraid they saved the mindwipes for the finale. Which would suck.

the look and farewell warning he gave Clark definitely has to do with the battle and possible death that he is going to face with Doomsday very soon. you could tell in the way he said "be careful in the coming days" (or whatever he said) that he knew something bad was going to happen, but according to the "code" he couldn't tell Clark specifically that Doomsday is going to wreak havoc and an epic battle will ensue and that Clark might die.
For some reason (probably because I haven't read the comics since I was a kid and even then I just flipped through the pictures) I thought Doomsday ended up killing superman for good... This can't be true I assume, as if they knew that he was going to encounter doomsday soon, he must live on and become the icon they know him to be. Please straighten my information out.
