It's been a while since I read season one's and I only read season 2's episode guides (only the summaries, not the opinions) recently so this might not be all of them, but I just thought I'd point out some (if not all) of the incorrect parts of the season companions.
SEASON 1:
Shimmer: Gough said in an interview that the invisible person was female, but in reality, he was Jeff.
Drone: The character listed is called Cassandra Castle in the book, but her name was Carrie Castle.
SEASON 2:
Vortex: It says that Jonathan destroyed the phone after hearing Lex voice, but he really destroyed it after hearing Roger say Lex's name.
Duplicity: Dr. Hamilton kiled Ray so he couldn't tell other people about the ship and that Hamilton was after it, not to get Pete's name.
Ryan: It lists Jitters's music in the music section instead of Ryan's. The music from Ryan is actually:
"Angels or Devils" by Dishwalla - Played at the end of the episode.
"Inside Out" by Von Ray - Played in the Talon.
ps thanx to Ksite for that music listing. ;)
Fever: Not really a mistake as much as an omission, but the ship healed Clark as well as Martha.
Calling: Dr. Walden burned many symbols into the ceiling.
SEASON 3:
Exile: Good Charlotte "Girls and Boys" (played when Clark robs the ATMs) is missing from the music section. Also, Jonathan tricked Clark into destroying the ring, he didn't persuade him.
Shattered: It says no sign of a struggle, but Clark found a broken piece of stained glass.
Asylum: Ian doesn't need Kryptonite to clone himself, he only waited until after Van got the Kryptonite because Ian couldn't get it himself.
Whisper: The heat vision refracted through, not reflected off, the Kryptonite. You can actually see it go in through one side and out the other (which is why it didn't blind Clark in Onyx.) Common misconception, so I'm giving them a break on that one.
Hereafter: It says Jordan said Adam died in a fire. Adam Knight (or Chad Nash at the time of his first death) died of a rare liver disease, not in a fire. Besides, Jordan didn't specify how he died in the episode anyway.
Obsession: Clark smashed through the wall and grabbed a pipe, he didn't crush the elevator door.
Resurrection: There was only one bomb.
Crisis: Lightning didn't hit the meteor rocks. It hit the phone pole, which sent the phone lines into kryptonized (tm) water.
Memoria: Clark's screams didn't wreck the machinery, his reaction to the liquid did.
Legacy: The key didn't go back into the wall. Rather, it was trapped in the machinery near the wall.

I've noticed many of those, too. They really actually bother me.

Another thing: what's up with the "Young Chloe Sullivan" in the Shattered page?! I'm pretty sure there was never a young Chloe in the show at all, let alone in Shattered.

wasnt that a deleted scene or something i could be wrong but i thought that someone mentioned it was deleted before

The only deleted scene from Shattered with Chloe in it that I can think of is when she confronted Lionel after Edge's death. It could be from a deleted scene that I forgot about or maybe it's a deleted scene that was never shot or isn't on the DVD. Either that or it's a mistake that spread from IMDB to here.

Pilot: The actor that played young Clark (he did in Lineage too) is named Malkolm AlberquERque, not AlberquENque.
Shimmer: His name is Troy, not Todd.

yea it's a paper back book and it goes through all the episodes of the seasons. It has cool facts like trivia, and then it goes through a character analysis of what happened to the characters. Then at the end it has chloe's notebook of the 22 things she learned that year. I liked them that's why i wanna know if he still writes them.

I notice on the news page that "even though the official release date is listed as September 4, some comic book specialty shops in the U.S. are beginning to receive copies" of the Season 4 Official Companion. I was able to buy a copy two weeks ago in branch of a well-known British bookstore situated on the outskirts of London (England, not Ontario). Although this store has a comic book/graphic novel section, it is by no means a speciality store.
What is the earliest that anyone has actually been able to lay hands on a copy, and was the U.K. ahead of the U.S. for once?

The book was published in the U.K., so I'm not surprised at all that it shipped sooner there. That's actually pretty cool.
I hope you liked the book. It was a lot of fun putting it together, although obviously very time-consuming!
Amazon hasn't begun shipping copies yet as far as I know. I haven't received my batch of free copies, either.

I got mine in Newcastle, England from Forbidden Planet on Wednesday last week. Took me ages to find it, and it is a very, very good read. I'm still in the middle of reading it. I know you can order it from Amazon.com.
Good luck tracking a copy down. Just hope I manage to get season 5s in the same time as season 4s.
Just one question, it seemed Craig managed to get interviews with the majority of the cast but why not the big 3? were they just too busy?

maddib, you were in Forbidden Planet in Newcastle last Wednesday? I was in Travelling Man today picking up a few graphic novels! [That's about two doors down for anyone not familiar with Newcastle city centre!]
Granted, it's not much of a coincidence but there you go.
As for thread-related discussion..........um, don't know when it came out. :p

Tom and Kristin just don't seem to care to do interviews, though to her credit, Kristin was very nice to me when I was in Vancouver. Tom... it disappoints me a bit, I'm sure he has his reasons for not doing press, but I would have done as much as I could to make his quotes seem good. It's not like I'd have been a jerk like the Rolling Stone was all those years ago.
Michael is interviewed in the Season 5 book. I found out later he wanted to talk for the Season 4 book but we just weren't able to arrange it.
I'm working on my Season 6 book interviews now :)

Does the book elaborate on Bridgette Crosby and why she wanted to deal with Lex?

don't think so, am still trying to finish it (bloomin late hours at work put paid to it so far) so far apart from an in depth write up of the premiere its mostly been 2-3 pages on each episode and what went into the making of each ep.
Season 5s out mid november, wonder if us English get it first like the season 4 companion

I have the first 4 companion books, as well as the Visual Guide. I once mentioned to Craig via email that I'd like to see a Visual guide done for each season, so that it'd be more comprehensive. He seemed rather intrigued by the suggestion, but never mentioned any progress on it.
I look forward to grabbing the companions for Seasons 5 & 6, since they've all been excellent so far. :D

I've gotten an email from Barnes and Noble, stating that my order will be shipped in 1-5 business days. On their website it says that the book won't be published until October. Is the book coming this month, or October?

I have all seven Companion books as well, and they're very informative, with all sorts of trivia and interviews galore. Each episode is summed up in 2 or 3 pages, with at least one episode given its own "In-Depth" section (Like "Reckoning" was for the season 5 book). After that, there's a few pages dedicated to individual character arcs, and then usually something about the collective phenomena surrounding the series. Each book ends with a "What I Learned This Year" list from Chloe, using the episode titles as deliberate puns. :D

Talk to Craig, since he's written the last 4 volumes of that series. He's repeatedly posted links on the News page, to purchase the Season 7 Companion. It seems that unless sales figures go up, Titan may not continue the Companions at all.
Interestingly, the author for the first 3 volumes was Paul Simpson, and there was about a 3-year break between the publishing of Season 3 and Craig's first effort for Season 4.

I have the S1-4 companion books and the S7 book... Now I just need 5 and 6. I really hope that Craig gets to write the S8 book; I'm sure it could provide so much insight into the big changes that the show made, such as the diminished cast, the loss of AlMiles, the lower budget, the Lana arc, etc.

I'd love to see a season 8 companion, not least because it's my second favourite season. My season 4 companion is well worn by now  I have all the books and while a season 8 companion would make sense from a fan's point of view, to accompany the dvd boxset, I guess it all comes down to sales and money *sigh*
But if there is one, I can't wait for Craig to write it, cos he's awesome :D

I found on the website how to contact the Titan Company, the company that produces the Smallville Companion books. Craig recently said that he doesn't think they will be making a season eight company book... well this is our chance to show interest and get them to produce one!
E-mail them here, please!
