What was nathan's rationale for "switching sides"? I don't think its logical enough or the event he went through was substantial enough to turn his back on Peter. He thinks that if everyone had powers that they would be able to defend themselves? Don't think so..it's all random. It's the reason that people have powers that it seems to corrupt the ones who are potentially evil.

Basically he saw Baron Samdie able to have control over his village, because of his ability. So Nathan thinks if the "right" people were given abilities they could have control over their respective domains and there will finally be world order.
In theory it makes sense, but practice not so much. Could be the reason why they decided to give Mohinder powers. He was one of the more good heroes, but when he got powers he definitely slid into the gray area.

Maybe Nathan will see the error of his ways and jump back on the "good guy" side..But looks like that won't be happening anytime soon..

That's like saying every kid should own a nuke bomb.... It's a dumb idea considering how sheepish people can be...in this case Nathan doesn't realize he is the biggest baddest sheep in the hood....

It seems like every time Nathan "sees the light," he just turns right back to embrace the dark side. I agree with you, it doesn't seem logical. He just kind of flips a switch, and he is back to the other side.
Didn't make sense to me either... To the point where I rewound it to listen to what he said again, as I was sure I misunderstood.
Litle bit more bizarre

Nathan allways choose the side of power thats why he want to be politic in real he cares only about power just like Sylar
