KK could be bald and still gorgeous. This is the first time we've seen her hair anything but long, (except the blonde wig) maybe they did it to put emphasis on how much she has changed, and maybe even to play down her looks a little so we'll be more comfy with Clois...

No, they did it because Kristin cut her hair short.

She was beautiful and all grown up. Some people don't like change but I think the new look was nice.

I don't mean to sound rude but my opinion on her hair wasn't because I have a problem with change, I simply don't like it. Maybe it's because it's fake :confused: Perhaps they should have left her with the natural short look KK's gone for in real life. Either way she's still a very beautiful woman, I'm just not keen on the new look.

I agree Amalie, I didnt love her hair....and maybe it was because it's fake? I think they should have let Kristen use her natural, shorter haircut. The curls looked a bit odd to me.

But like I said...she's still as amazing as ever.

I loved her smile towards Chloe, that I have definitely not seen in a while. Although throughout the rest of the episode, although she had that strong attitude, her eyes were still melancholic, I dont think deep down she's happy. I guess if she's struggling to be alive, its understandable.

I agree with the poster who said she isn't happy deep down. Something's amiss. I honestly think Lana's proper place is right by Clark's side. She'd make an awesome partner/sidekick. I wish they'd give her some super-power or meteor-power like Chloe. She's good at protecting Clark and tracking/fighting bad guys. I don't think Lana is realizing her proper place in Clark's life. I think deep down she wishes she could still be with him, but if the spoilers are to be believed there is a real reason she can't be.

Probably, cos as fashiontrends go, Lana looks better now, than she ever did in the course of past seven years! I mean, what's the use of long, black hair, if you aren't gonna do anything with it, at least now she has something which actually qualifies as hairstyle, although noth quite perfect for her faceframe! And I see, she is sportying black and depressing aaing, but anything is better than pink! I guess this is their attempt to make her look more mature in looks as well as character, but come to think about it, it only makes her look old! But still, an inprovement from past seasons, better to mature looking than porcelain princess in spring colours!

Kristin Kreuk has always been beautiful in every season of Smallville. Even most of the Clana and Lana haters (from what I've seen on this thread and otherws) admit that she's gorgeous.

When I saw photos of her with her new short hair cut I wasn't thrilled and was nervous about what she'd look like when she came back for her five episodes of Season 8. I was worried that haters would just take her hair and use it as another reason to nag about her.

But the stylist people have made her look absolutely stunning - if not better than before, then certainly at least on par with the way she used to look. I dunno if it's a wig, extensions of if she just had time to grow it out or whatever - I dunno anything about hair - but whatever it is works :)

I don't know anything about cosmetics, but when you do extensions don't you actually cut a a few layers of the persons hair off and then move it down? I never really understood how you could just "add" hair to someone.

I think she looks very mature and I think she'll always be beautiful, but last year there was a scene towards the middle of the season where she was working this kind of lilac color scheme in the Kent kitchen, that was beautiful.

I was just watching the Clana scene on youtube and before Lana hears Clark come up the steps, there's shot of her from behind where there's a direct, clear shot of her rear. I found it to be an interesting direction to have that shot there as long as it was on the screen. :lol:

Like somebody said here, Kristin could be bald and she'd still be gorgeous! She has a really beautiful face. She'll look great in any hairstyle she chooses.

That said, even though her wig or extensions looked pretty good in Bride (better than in the promo pics), I would have preferred if they just kept her short hair.

Not really, unless by before you mean before the extensions added to it for the show. KK will never be ugly but short hair is not her strong suit. Her long hair was a part of her package the hair, eyes, lips, smile thing she had going for her.

Hunger strike? Even with the lol she so does not need to gain weight. Its clear she works out and is a perfectly fine and healthy weight for her build and size. Just because she is not the normal overweight american does not mean shes unhealthy or needs to gain weight.

but yeah I definately think that black dress was among the worst she has ever wore.

She is definitely beautiful, I think her biggest assets r her eyes, the almost shape and the hazel color. She definitely knows how to use them for her acting. I think she is too skinny though, I liked her better when she was a bit "fuller" during previous seasons, like season 3 and 4. Season 5 she started looking very skinny. She looked a bit better in Bride, like more meat to her bones. I think Erica is sexier, but all the women are beautiful.

Kristen is always gorgeous. When I first saw her new haircut I liked it. But when I first saw it a little bit longer on Smallville I didn't. I like it now though. :D Actually I think her hair looked great in 'Bride.' I liked Lana's new hairdo. I think it would have looked better in a ponytail, but Kristin Kreuk is beautiful; I'd be lucky to have a fraction of her beauty.

It's nice to see a familiar face back on Smallville. I just hope she can find peace while she's back - Lana seemed to have a lot of baggage.

After seeing these screen caps a few times, I kind of wish she kept her hair the same as before she left the show. Sure, I think she looks stunning now, but she just looked too different in Bride. Hopefully, for me, she will go back to the old do for a bit. For nostalgia sake.

I didn't like her new haircut when I first saw it. KK is extremely pretty and the bangs don't flatter her face. It looked better when it was long and pulled back. However, it is starting to grow on me just because it's so different that what we're use to just as the character of Lana is.

I believe Lana's hair was really that short. Kristin had cut hair really short right after she finished filming Street Fighter and then posted on the web for everyone to give their opinions I think Kristin had her hair the same for long that she was dying for a change. I did the same thing after I graduated high school. Personally I like her new hair style.

Dude, Her acting is excellent, shes a strong actress as shown in eurotrip, partition, earthsea, snow white and a lot of smallville episodes. shes a hell of a lot better actress/actor than Ashmore, Mack, Same Jones and Durance combined and thats on the day she is at her worst.

And yeah she may be talented but not for Smallville, doesn't suit her acting capability. I'm sure I'm not the only one that actually goes [Mod Edit] during a Lana scene. For the record, whoever posted it, snow white could be shot with a $100 camera by a 4 year old.

All 'KK' does in Smallville is lengthen complications, piss people off, cheats, lies, she has irresponsible and irrational attitude on this PARTICLUAR show, over-dramatisizes EVERYTHING on the bloody show. Look at the scene where they are talking about thier past in the latest episode. She has such a serious face, like the world is about to end. Even that video tape she made clark when she woke up from that braniac induced coma, looked like a lie.

Slept with Lex and Bizarro on the show, I blame the writers for making her look like a hussy there but yeah.

Wake up? Lana Lang is just Slowing smallville down.

Kristen has always been a knockout. I think her new Lana look is gorgeous as well. The new hair style.. wow. If I'm not mistaken, didn't she have an a**shot in this episode? I think I remember the camera focusing on her sexy assets.

Don't actually think it had a good 'ASSets' shot just because of the type of dress she was wearing. But they tried.

Hated her hair, but loved her coming and going, her face and her derriere.

That's about the only thing ill agree to, minus the face.:lol:

Errrrr dear boy, why would a guy or a girl be jealous of her? It's not a Lana Lois war, because Lois wins hands-down. More of a figure, not a matchstick like Lana. Lois has a more in your face attitude, and you gotta love her metaphors. Lana....just sucks.

AND let us mention the fact that Lana Lang has no place in Superman, where as Lois Lane does.

Hunger strike? Even with the lol she so does not need to gain weight. Its clear she works out and is a perfectly fine and healthy weight for her build and size. Just because she is not the normal overweight american does not mean shes unhealthy or needs to gain weight.

Err unless you like stick figures for girlfriends then, yes, she does need to put some weight on. She is in-fact below the healthy weight/height ratio.

Erica is awful in general. I don't think any of her lines before this season didn't come off as anything but completely forced and fake and her movie roles show the exact same thing.

Other than Glover and Michael Kristin is the only one who fits the top 3 talented bill from smallville's main cast.

And she comes off as fake? Over the top? The subtleties in Allison's acting are at least as good as anyone's I've ever seen. Just watch her reaction to Sean Kelvin's flirting in "Cool." Or the second half of her last conversation with Lana in "Rosetta." How about her "let's be friends" talk with Clark in "Vortex?" Or the similar talk she had with him in the last scene of "Devoted?" Her reaction(s) to Clark's proposal to Lana in "Reckoning?" These are just a (very) few of the scenes that come to mind, and probably only because I've seen early seasons the most.

And as much as I want to defend Erica, you at least thought enough to exclude what she's done this season. She's been phenomenal so far, but I've known that for years. I would direct you to her breakup scenes from seasons 6 and 7, if I were looking to argue. :rolleyes:

Kristin Kreuk has been amazing, but she has certainly shown no more range than the other two. "Cute, mean, tough..." What about it? Allison and Erica have shown the same emotions.

Gosh, why does everyone have to cut down one or two of the girls when they brag about the other? I happen to be very fond of all three.

First of all, I wish those hairdressers from Smallville would stop using the EXTENSIONS on KK's beautiful short hair. OMG! The hair didnt look right. Just keep it real....

Its okay to have short hair on television these days isn't it? I am not sure why writer's or producers or the contracts the actors sign on to, always have have their mane long. I read somewhere that Katie Holmes had to wear her long, on Dawson's Creek. But, at least the hair stylist made her style beautiful and made it fit her face.
Pleading out to the stylists, stop that UGLY extension on KK's hair. Alot of people did not like the way that looked on KK aka LL.....
What was that!? those stringy strands hanging below her real hair? Were they streamers? Because thats what it looked like, it didnt even connect to her real hair... It was stringy and curly and that was not Lana. It was just plain ugly on KK playing the character. I am not sure what look the stylist wanted Lana to have but was she supposed have a Mrs Brady hair cut? It was HORRID though. Yes.. I am still going on and on about it since the show. It just bothered me. It made KK look weird..:mad:

Just let her keep her real without extensions please...I hope for the last 4 episodes they dont make her look weird with the extensions....:mad::mad::mad:

She could do so much with styling that short hair instead of using extensions. At the VGA awards, the way her hair was, it was just one of the ways of some stylist did her hair. It wasnt the best styling job though.
