I remember at the beginning of this season when they where running commercials about Doomsday coming on quick part of one where Chloe was talking about him to Clark and saying that "he can kill you" this has not happened yet since they have not even found out about Doomsday. Do you think this scene was planted or a clue to her getting all her memories back,

Her wording and attitude sure seemed like she still knew his secret in that few second scene.

Nice catch. She does appear to be advising him about "something"-the something being Doomsday.

Wow. That could be a good catch on Brainiac taking over Chloe.

I forgot all about that. Maybe they cut it out of a episode.

What an absolutely HORRENDOUS decision. If they were going to do this, they should have done it a looooong time ago. Maybe 2-3 episodes after she found out. FOUR YEARS LATER?!!? The person who said that they've effectively "erased" the last four years is correct. The show is NOT going to be the same without Chloe knowing. She's the one person he COULD confide in. How deep does this go? Is knowledge of the Justice League gone too? Does she no longer work at the Isis foundation, assisting the meteor infected? Will she go BACK on the trail of uncovering Clark's secret? Is the wall of weird coming back now that she won't have the "guilt" associated with one of her friends being on of them? Will this spark her interest in reporting again? This seems like a HUGE step backward for the show. If they didn't want the "baggage" of having Chloe know Clark's secret, they should have just killed her off. I could have lived with that A LOT easier. It would have been sad, but it would have made more sense.

I haven't seen the commercial, but the "He can kill you" sounds like it's not from a new episode, but rather from Season 6's "Combat", with reference to Titan.

They've used old photage to promote new episodes before.

It was actually in the promo for Prey. Not sure if it was actually said in the ep though.

exactly what it was from^. it was just thrown in there to create a little suspense.

Cool I was thinking the same thing and thought that maybe I just missed something and it was actually already said....however was any of the episodes after Abyss filmed when that promo was made? That promo was from before S8 even started so maybe Ilidan is right and it's just from an old episode.

I'd love if it wasn't though and is actually new! :(

I don't think its permanent and I believe PS3 are not that naive to crash a character's image, if anything they will make it better just like how they have improved the overall quality of the season. I think this twist was needed for Clark's development and Clark will learn from it, but his main source of information has to be Jor-el from now on.

OP, I remember that trailer. I believe it was for Prey.

probably just a deleted scene for Prey, i remember in the Prey promo there was also a scene of Davis screaming at the cam with blood coming from his mouth and that wasn't in the episode.

Or she thinks doomsday can kill Clark because he's only human

It was 'there's something out there and it can kill you' and it was originally shown in the Comic Con trailer when they only had the first four or five episodes or something in the can. There was also the scene where Tess was in the loft with Clark saying he should think of her as 'more than his boss'.

Looks like deleted scenes to me at this stage.
