With the revelations in Bloodline it now makes sense why doomsday looks human. He is part kryptonian hence his human like appearance as faora say's " Your the splitting Image of your father". The other aspect of doomsday is that his body is in constant conflict due to his evolution hence why he blacks out alot, which i find to a an interesting concept to the doomsday storyline. Even tho we dont get to see him kick Darksieds about he fits into SV universe very nicely. One more thing because Faora said he was Zod son I dont think that should be taken literally , yea i mean genetically he is but he is much more as she said he is a combination of the worst krypton had to offer so he still holds truth to what Doomsday stands for.

That's what I think. I think that Zod included some of his DNA in the Doomsday Creation.

I'm thinking that the reason why Davis side is more human than Kryptonian, though, is either because Zod set him up that way, he isn't fully evolved, or the matter from the other organisms prevent that side from being fully Kryptonian.

Didn't Faora say that he was in the same ship as Kal-El? That doesn't make sense to me if he was a 3 year old child (Davis told Chloe he couldn't find any record of himself earlier than that). If however, he was something more like the Brainiac oil, or a phantom, something immaterial then I can believe he was sneaked on board.

In that case, it follows that this creation would need a host like a phantom does, and I think it possessed a 3 year old human child. The blackouts that Davis has experienced are the Doomsday "infection" gaining control over time. In my mind there is a paralell between him and the Glory plot in Buffy Season 5, where the human child grew to manhood before Glory was able to assert control. (he was also a Doctor)

I don't think Davis could be the "spitting image of his father" if the Doomsday side just infected a human. :\

I do think it was just a tiny organism or something that quickly evolved into Doomsday. :)

Foara said that her and Zod couldn't have children, so they made a child with some of Krypton's most dangerous criminals. They sent him with Clark as GENETIC MATTER, then when he came to Earth he evolved. If you want to know what Genetic Matter, don't ask me, I'm only in Grade 10. :P

The thing is, he was never human to begin with. He was sent as Genetic Matter and then evolved. Faora and Zod created Doomsday.
