Was CK sorting laundry or picking a disguise?

When Clark had clothes all over the kitchen table just before Jimmy bopped in, was he trying to put together a disguise or was he just sorting laundry? I think it was definitely the disguise angle or he wouldn't have super cleaned up so that Jimmy wouldn't have seen it. Was the disguise intended for Oliver or for him?

I got the feeling he was more trying to get rid of his red and blue clothes so he didn't tip Jimmy off, but I wonder if he was trying to pick a disguise?

He was trying to get rid of his red shirts, or at least sort them out. I don't think he is looking for a costume yet, not at that point in the episode.

I think he sorted laundry, and when he saw Jimmy he didn't want Jimmy to see all that mess on the kitchen table.

The simplest explanation is that Clark was thinking about whether he should get rid of his blue and red clothes, since that would be such an obvious clue to Jimmy. And when Jimmy shows up, he has to put them out of sight. I think some people are eager to see Clark choose a costume, but I just don't see that happening. Did you notice that there was absolutely no discussion of the need for a costume at the end of the episode when Oliver was talking with Clark?

Really? I thought that he was going through Jimmy's bag that he grabbed from the Talon and there were just a bunch of clothes in it. I like the idea that he was pulling all the red and blue out of his wardrobe way better! :)

Yeah, I think he was purging his red and blue clothes. Funny -- he was done in by an old photo anyway...

totally looked to me like he was ditching all red and blue, which when you look at the laundry pile after he is done, there isn't much left! I loved the grey/white tshirt combo he had on - very very sexy!

Sweet! I hope this means he will be wearing less red & blue. Tom looked so good in that gray shirt yesterday, and I love how he looks in the white tees he sometimes wears. Mm.

I originally thought he was just doing laundry, which of course is practically all red and blue. I thought it a funny domestic touch: Superman doing housework. But when he grabbed the jacket, I thought, aha, smart boy, he's trying to avoid triggering Jimmy's subconscious. And then he got done in by the photo anyways. Great fun.

I thought he just had everything out trying to find something not blue and red to wear as he "talked" with Jimmy, and then when Jimmy showed up early, he had to hide it all.

He was sorting his clothes trying to get rid of the red and blue ones, which were in the BIG pile, and on the other side of the table were his other colors, which was probably just three items. His face was so funny when he realized how few other colors he had...almost horrified....he he he
