Thank god he's going back to being GA. I was kinda getting sick of not seeing Green Arrow anywhere and am so glad he decided to go back to the suit. I can't wait to see his return as the Emerald Archer

I have to say it was painful to watch Oliver and Tess hook up, and not because she rejected him. I know TPTB wanted to make Oliver question his decision to be the Green Arrow, but the drunk partyboy was annoying and degrading. You could feel Clark's judgment of him on the plane with 3 girls, like he's a better person that this. Let's see some Green Arrow action!

I'm really glad Ollie went back to being GA at the end of the episode, but I felt a little cheated. When I heard that this season he would be questioning whether he should continue being GA, I expected something a little more...I donno....grand. I thought it would last longer than just a couple of episodes. Regardless, I'm not dwelling on it. I'm enjoying this season too much to focus on the few negatives when there are so many positives.

To be honest, I didn't really think they'd explored Oliver's PartyBoy persona very much at all. So he's on a jet with some 'hot chicks' (couldn't think of another phrase to describe them ;)), he gets drunk a time or two, blah blah blah. It was all very stereotypical and it didn't really say much about Ollie's character. It didn't really go very deep. I agree with mistaguitarmasta, they really could've made his fall from glory a bit more spectacular, or at the very least interesting. Luckily, Clark's character arc this season has been so interesting that I've not really paid much attention to Ollie.
And if Ollie goes back to being Green Arrow permenantly, won't this steal Superman's thunder a bit? I'm working on the assumption that Clark will become Supes pretty soon as it seems to be building up to that. Unless GA goes back to Star City, it somehow doesn't mean as much when Superman starts saving people because GA has already been doing that. But, I suppose, GA was much more underground, while Superman sort of announces himself to the world.
After saying all that, Justin Hartley looks really good in green leather so I'm not going to protest too much about him going back to being Green Arrow :D

I completely agree with you two about Oliver's fall from grace. I really expected something deeper that showed us his agony and pain between deciding to be a superhero or a normal rich boy. I wanted to see conversations where he really questioned if he was really making a difference and if it was all worth it.
They should have shown a lot more then they did and although it was decent it wasn't as great as I had imagined in my mind. I half expected Clark to be the inspiration for Oliver to go back to his superhero ways.

I, too, expected to see something a little more deep than that. I get the feeling Smallville is just maybe juggling too many people and plotlines. Most of the so-called series regulars never even show up in most episodes. It seems like they just don't have room for Clark's story, Doomsday, Chloiac AND Green Arrow, too. Not to mention Tess stuff....
I guess we have to assume that most of Olli's struggle took place off-screen. But I would have liked to have seen more of it on-screen instead of, oh, say, Maxima. :)
