Craving - A weight-obsessed teen dieting on kryptonite-infected vegetables gains her fondest dream...but must feed on the fat of others to maintain her enhanced appearance.
Lineage - A strange woman shows up claiming to be Clark's biological mother...and that his father is Lionel. Meanwhile Lana decides to meet with the man who is her biological father.
Magnetic - Clark is suspicious when Lana suddenly becomes attracted to a fellow student and begins to act rebelliously, which eventually lands her in jail. Clark's suspicions are confirmed when he discovers Lana's new boyfriend has magnetic powers that can move objects and alter human emotions, but when he tries to free Lana from the paranormal hold that is controlling her, she tries to kill him. Meanwhile, Lex discovers Chloe has been delving into Lionel's past and tries to get her to join forces against his dad.
Jinx - Mikail Mxyzptlk, a foreign exchange student and bookie, has the power to control others and uses it to sabotage football games, including the one Clark is quarterbacking. Clark and Chloe figure out his secret, but he threatens to kill Chloe unless Clark throws the next game. Mikail came to Smallville via LuthorCorp, and Lex will do almost anything to learn his secret.
Splinter - Clark gives into paranoid delusions brought on by exposure to new "silver" kryptonite, and Professor Fine is the only one who can save him...before he kills Lana.
Rage - After being shot while stopping a carjacking, the Green Arrow begins acting strangely. Chloe and Clark investigate and find Oliver is taking a super drug that while healing his wound, has some dangerous side effects.
Wrath - Lana absorbs Clark's powers during a lightning storm, which she uses to break into Lex's safe and steal some incriminating evidence. After being turned away by Grant at the Daily Planet, who won't accept her stolen evidence, Lana goes after Lex herself. Clark tries to rescue Lex, but must first battle the super-powered Lana.
Identity - Jimmy takes a picture of Clark saving Lois from danger but it comes out in a blur on film. Tess decides the story should make front page for the Daily Planet. Chloe refuses to help Clark.

Splinter, Wrath, and now Identity are the best episode seven's ever!! I love all three since I can't tell which one stands out the best (a paranoid Clark to a superpowered Lana to a identity crisis dilemma)

Hard choice between Splinter and Identity, but I had to go with Identity! This eppy just rocked!
OMG, Identity WAS Superman!!! It blows all of the other 7th episodes away as well as about 95% of the rest of the Smallville episodes. The only thing I would change about this episode would be to have Lex instead of Tess everything else was perfect.

I chose Identity. I loved Splinter as my favorite 7th episode until Identity aired tonight. Man, this season is awesome!!! Thank you so much PS3!!!! And next week we have the Phantom Zone (though I don't think it's a good idea that Lois also ends up in it).
I liked Prey more than Identity, but Identity was awesome & full of surprises.

Let me begin by saying I LOVE this forum and everything it represents!! It has made me more of a Smallville fan than simply watching the show alone. Thanks to all that participate in this wonderful site!!
My thoughts on 'Identity':
1) Clark looked better than ever.
2) Lois and Chloe are smokin' hot!!
3) Finally Oliver snapped out of his pity party!
4) Clark coming to the realization that he in fact can and will make a difference!
5) Jimmy, a character that I normally feel luke warm about; turned my opinion by showing some intellect and drive.
6) Tess gets better and darker by the episode!
7) And last but not least, I was enthralled when Chloe 'took out' Wilson!! Her 'Braniac' abilities are evolving and I think we are just seeing the beginning.
Just my $.02.
On a side note....Time Warner Cable RoadRunner subscribers-You can purchase the entire Smallville Season 8 via RoadRunner Video Store-www.videostore.rr.com. And its well worth it!!!:D

It would be "Splinter" and then "Identity" for me.
I'm still going to go with Identity. I was not impressed with Splinter. It kind of seemed a blah episode to me. L_xana...Smallville Wheel of Fortune...Buy a vowel Clark! Anything other than an "E" and you are an IDIOT.

I thought "Splinter" was amazing - Tom Welling was wonderful and I love James Marsters! Tonight's episode was very good, though. I'm going to have to wait and see "Identity" online when the CW posts it on their site. This is too difficult of a decision - oh, and then throw "Jinx" into the mix, and it makes the choice even harder - I love that save Clark makes at the end. Whew! There is so much "Smallville" goodness going around lately, I don't think I can think straight.

I am actually surprised how not good all the other seventh episodes were. Sure, some had cool scenes, but they lacked... something.

I Really, Really thought that "Identity" was an AWESOME episode, and one of the BEST Smallville episodes EVER, but "Splinter" showcased Tom's acting talent and it was a very creative episode. So, SPLINTER then IDENTITY. It was too hard for me to choose between the two. My least favorite 7th episode was "Craving". Ugh!

It's very hard for me to decide because i love every episode of smallville so much so i can't really judge one over the other. I would have to say Jinx because that locker room scene with the GreenDay song is just...as Derek would say: EPIC!

I'm going with Splinter on this one (I absolutely loved it!) and then closely following (maybe even sharing first place) is Identity.
Then follows Rage, Lineage, Jinx, Magnetic.
Personally I hated Wrath and was disgusted at Craving.

I thought they would have a tough time beating Splinter, but this episode was awesome. I absolutely loved the meteor freak's ability. For the first time, I was thinking that something really bad was going to happen to Lois (let's face it, we know that some of the characters can't die to stay true to the Superman mythos). I was actually afraid for her. The writer's have definately raised the bar with this episode.

It's between Jinx and Identity for me. Splinter gets an honorable mention.

I choose Splinter but Identity kind of replaced it cause Splinter showed us not only a new type of Kryptonite but also how Clark's own mind was showing him certain things about his own life even though he did kind of go insane. While Identity showed Clark (especially when Oliver was on the rooftop and everyone was talking about it) realizing that maybe he isnt just suppose to save people but bring that light that Superman brings to the world whenever he swoops in to save the day, i think that Doomsday vs Superman mini-series is a perfect example of how his alter ego affected the world and how the people around him would feel towards him if he was to ever truly make the hero's sacrifice.

Never thought I'd say this but Identity by a mile because it rocked.
The nearest competitor is Splinter which was good.
Craving, Magetic, Jinx and Rage all sucked, whilst Lieage and Wrath were average filler episodes.

"Identity" wins by a mile with this bunch. What an awesome episode!!! I can't wait to rewatch it when it airs again or I get it on DVD (whichever comes first). Jimmy rocked the house, and Clark really had to work overtime to keep his secret safe!
"Lineage" was also really excellent. "Jinx" brought in Mikhail Mxyzptlk, who I thought was a pretty unique, cool character, even though he was NOTHING like his comic book counterpart. "Magnetic" earns a "pretty good" rating for me, simply because it has one of the best Chlark kisses in history. "Splinter" had amazing parts to it, too, but "Identity" is still better. As for the other three? C'mon, a fat-sucking girl, "Rage" wasn't all that great, and "Wrath" was... ugh. There's a reason Lana shouldn't get super-powers.
