View Full Version : Shadowboy/thief - I thought he had no form?

Shadowboy/thief was depicted to be a shadow with no actual physical form much like a phantom. So it seems a bit odd that Clark was able to knock him out with a tyre. Surely the tyre should have passed straight through shadowboy and knocked Jimmy out? :rotfl:
slight plot hole there?

Perhaps he only chooses tio have no form at certain times. The tyre was unexpected meaning he didnt have any time to become formless.

That's possible although he was already formless when he was attacking Jimmy hence there only being one skeleton (Jimmy) and an outline of shadowboy when Clark x-rayed the shadows.

The Shadow boy can transform himself into a being that looks dark with glowing eyes. This doesn't mean that he is a shadow on a wall with no substance. IMO, his body is still there except in a different form, therefore, can be effected by solid objects. If he was just a shadow then he couldn't get a grip on Davis throat to choke him.

I guess so, it's just the way they showed him was like one of the phantoms - he was a dark wisp of air that appeared and disappeared but didn't have any actual physical form. That's how he looked when he was attacking Jimmy.
Does anyone know what exactly shadowboy is?

No.
The Shadow Killer comes into contact with people as he's harming them. It's physics. In order for the Shadow to cut a person, there needs to be friction, meaning the person is, in turn, touching the Shadow.

I must admit to being slightly confused about what the shadowthief person is. The way he was depicted he didn't seem to have any form - he could grab people but they couldn't grab him. I think the him choosing when to have physical form is the easiest explanation.
The way he seemed to flow across the floor like a phantom didn't seem to fit with him having a physical form and just being partially invisible - humans don't move like that.

Perhaps rubber negates his ability in the same way lead negated Allicia's?

When we found out it was a shadow villian that was my first thought as well! "Oh this is SV's version of Shadow Thief!"
BTW, does anyone know the name of the guy who played "Shadowboy"? He looked very familiar but I couldn't quite place him.

Let's not forget that it wasn't the shadow killer who comitted the murders (it was Doomsday) so there's no real problem of it being hurt by a tyre (espcially if Clark throws it on you)

Perheps, Randy Klein's shadow form has to take a more solid state, in order to harm someone and simply assumed nobody could touch him at the time.
