that seemed a bit weird. where was she so that she couldn't go there herself? I thought that they probably did that because she wasn't in the rest of the episode. or they just want to add more character..? I dont know.

Tess probably told her to go talk to the MF. Maybe she had something else to do, and she didn't consider Shadow Guy that important. :p

Is it just me, or are we seeing new assistants every couple of episodes? We only saw Lex's assistant in the first episode, then there was that blond girl, etc. Is she firing them all because they do not live up to her expectations?

The actress probably just wasn't signed for this episode.

Whatever the reason was to send the asst. she did a great job with the shadow kid. She has taken lessons from Tess about acting evil.

For only one scene what would be the point really?

They probably couldn't afford to put in Cassidy Freeman for just one scene. If you watch it again you can see that all the dialogue is essentially witten for Tess, it's something she would say and it is how she would act but I guess for one scene it really wasn't worth it.

I believe this one was in the last two episodes as well.

Is everyone in Tess' regime of assisstants a woman? (not trying to be sexist but thats what I am noticing)

Tess wants the assistant as her personal eye candy; it's obvious from Maxima!

LOL!

But seriosly, she's just filling Lex's spot in the show, and there's no way she'd be seen going there when someone could tie her to it later when this guy starts other crimes. Now she gets to play the "I have no idea what you're talking about" card that Lex played every three episodes.

Yup, I agree. I think that Freeman has a limited episode contract (like Ashmore, Witwer, Hartley, and Durance) and it would have been a waste of an episode to have her just appear for the one scene.

One of the things I've noticed with the use of the supporting cast is that they're being very careful about the episodes they're using them in - if they bring in an actor, they are given a substantial amount of screen-time and they are a big part of the A-plot/B-plot. I think this is smart - in the past, we'd get 13 episodes with Durance & one of those episodes would have just 4 minutes of Lois in it, kind of walking in and making a snarky comment and walking out. Same with Ashmore/Jimmy. It was a waste. Now, they don't put a character in the episode unless they're integral to the plot.

In this case, it was only about 1 minute of the episode, so Tess's lackey could do the work for her, so it made no sense to bring Freeman in.
