This is the second girl who has said this to him. The first being Lois. Remember, she liked being 'interested.'
Bummer huh?
The actual point is this... Isn't he with Dinah? Or was that not established in Smallville yet... I thought it was hinted in Odyssey...
Also how nice was it when Lois begged the guy not to hurt Clark?
God this was a good episode.

Oliver isn't with Dinah yet. I don't care whether we see that in S8. There's too much other Clark stuff to cover...

My impression is not that he leaves them because he can’t hold on to the ladies but he chooses to let them go because like Batman he doesn’t want to put that person he loves in danger. Now according to Smallville’s version, he met Tess on that Island and I bet he was starting to build his alter ego life. Also, maybe he feels the lady wouldn’t understand his motives for being a green arrow avenger.
It would be hard to know that your boyfriend wears a cod piece, dresses in all green, shoots arrows, hangs out in the dark talking in a synthesize voice, that's a bit kinky.
All about Clark

Oliver definitely has committment issues. And I refuse to believe it's for a noble reason like protecting his loved ones, I don't get that vibe at all.

Yep, looks like Clark needs to have a good talk with Ollie for getting distracted from being a hero and going back to his play boy status. Ollie is looking for love in all the wrong places.

Yeah, it does look like that Ollie has a pretty sucky M.O. when it comes to the ladies

I think that early abandonment issues caused by his family's death make him afraid to commit to anyone whom he might make a family with. That and he's a twenty something year old billionaire. I don't sense the Bruce Wayne playboy cover vibe from Ollie- I think he just likes one night stands.
Does Ollie have a hidden compartment in his trunk for his Green Arrow gear if something suddenly struck while he was with Tess? Or did he take a limo and completely abandoned his alter ego for the evening? Mark one for Ollie needing to put safety of innocents before getting between silk sheets.

The difference between Ollie and Bruce Wayne's basic outlooks on life are due to the fact that their life altering experience happened at different ages. Ollie's parents were killed when he was young but he apparently still became a playboy playing with boats when he was shipwrecked and forced to take control of his life to survive on the island, in doing this he looked at himself and decided to change.
Bruce lost his parents when he was 8 years old and spent every minute since then planning and training to be Batman (even if he didn't have a name yet). I am discounting Batman Begins because although I love that movie to bits the one aspect I am not happy with was the implication that Bruce also didn't do much about his destiny until he was almost an adult and Joe Chill was killed.
Because Bruce's Batman persona was created much earlier, the Bruce Wayne persona became a mask much much earlier and so that is how he sees the playboy aspect and therefore dating is just good cover. Ollie still has some of the playboy inside him. He has also embraced the Errol Flynn Gentleman Outlaw version of Robin Hood, and an enjoyment of life's pleasures is part of that.
Oh and by the way, Dinah and Ollie have been on and off again for their entire run in JLA and so it is entirely believable that they may have sparked in a previous episode but will be picked up again later.

Ollie didn't come off looking good in this episode, he looked needy in front on the enemy, Tess. ouch. But it was a good reveal on Ollie, he is not ready, despite his confidence as GA. I like that they showed this vulnerability hopeful tptb will harp on this more

It was a whole new side of Oliver...I guess he's a lot needier than we thought. I still am having trouble seeing him and Tess as a couple.

i was just waiting for tess to refer back to that "list" she mentioned Clark was on and say ollie also was on it. pulling out her planner, "been there, done that." and scratch out Ollie's name.
In Smallville - Ollie's parents die when he's about 8 - Veritas and the Pilot
